Gu Junming laughed and said, "Alright, I won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to do. Do whatever you wish, I’ll support you. Don’t be afraid of offending anyone."

Sun Chan laughed and said, "I understand! Don’t worry, I won’t wrong myself."

In her past life, she endured too much and lived for appearances. This life, she is determined to live freely and never do anything she doesn’t want to do.

Gu Junming asked again, "How is your shop going?"

Sun Chan perked up imdiately, "Well, it’s about to open. I’m busy with a lot of things, but despite the hustle and bustle, I feel fulfilled. Working with them helps accumulate plenty of experience."

Sun Chan didn’t know any of the embroidery techniques those workers had.

Not only were they skilled at sewing, but so also knew special embroidery techniques which were quite unique. Sun Chan made an effort to learn from them and thought these embroideries could be used on clothes, like hems, cuffs, and corners. She told Gu Junming how she marked a little emblem on clothes after learning embroidery thods.

"It can serve as my brand’s trademark. It’s a really beautiful spider lily design." The blossoming flowers, with bright red petals, give a lively feeling.

After finishing it, she even showed it to Han Dong. Han Dong liked it very much and decided to add such flowers to the new store’s plaque as a distinctive emblem.

Gu Junming nodded, "Yeah, you have a great mind, the shape of these flowers is really nice, I think it’s quite beautiful too."

"Right?" Sun Chan laughed, "I think our country’s embroidery is truly exquisite, I definitely want to study it thoroughly when I have ti. Handcrafted decorations can be used too. They might add that finishing touch on the clothes?"

"Indeed, very creative." Slling the fragrance emanating from Sun Chan, Gu Junming felt sowhat restless.

"But I’m a bit worried, it would be bad if we lose money. Han Dong has invested quite a bit. If the business doesn’t succeed, wouldn’t I be done for?" She nervously pinched her fingers.

"Don’t worry. You’ve done your best on what you could; the rest is left to fate. Even if it fails, it won’t be a big deal. At worst, we put up a stall together and sell the clothes directly, how does that sound?"

Sun Chan couldn’t help but laugh, "You’re a cadre at the headquarters, don’t you feel embarrassed about setting up a stall?"

"What’s embarrassing? As long as it’s money earned rightly, it’s worthy of respect," said Gu Junming, while touching the buttons on her nightgown, kissing her red lips, "It’s late, let’s sleep." Having said that, he pressed down on her.

Sun Chan, both embarrassed and angry, slapped his back, "I’m still talking to you, what’s the rush?"

"I’m dying from urgency, let’s leave it for tomorrow, we have more important stuff to do now."

Sun Chan’s face flushed; the important stuff he was referring to was... this person really! But there wasn’t ti to dwell on it; his kisses overwheld her, and they spent a sweet night together.

When she woke up, Gu Junming had already left. He exercises at six every day, so he gets up at five-thirty and leaves. Sun Chan originally wanted to make breakfast for Gu Junming, but she was too tired and didn’t manage to get up again.

After freshening up, she went to the kitchen, only to find egg fried rice on the table, made by Gu Junming. Next to it was a bowl of tomato soup. She felt a warmth in her heart and picked up the bowl to eat.

After finishing breakfast and tidying up briefly, Sun Chan set off.

Her new shop had a lot going on, and she had to be on top of her ti. Although she was quite happy these days, the families in the compound were observing her from behind and gossiping increasingly, though she was unaware.

Today Han Dong didn’t have ti to pick her up, so she took the bus herself. Several army wives were already seated on the bus, talking and laughing quietly, but they quieted down and stared at her when Sun Chan got on, giving her their attention.

Sun Chan was wearing a white shirt with bamboo-shaped patterns, made from very light material. Below, she wore a cool black chiffon skirt. Holding a black leather handbag, she looked every bit the stylish city woman.

She was entirely unlike those gray-faced housewives.

The won felt a bit inferior and harbored various feelings of envy and jealousy.

Sun Chan could see these complex emotions in their eyes but remained indifferent.

She sat in the passenger seat beside the driver in front and took out a sketch, trying to see if she could make any alterations to make the skirt look better.

At that mont, soone behind her spoke up, "Sun Chan, what are you doing there?"

It was a woman in her forties, with a plump figure, speaking boisterously. Her small eyes flickered as though trying to see through Sun Chan’s thoughts.

Sun Chan covered her sketch and said, "Oh, nothing. Do you need sothing, ma’am?"

"I’m just curious about what you’re doing, is it an account book?" The woman tried her best to look at her paper, but Sun Chan had already closed the notebook, watching her calmly, "If you have so business, ma’am, just speak."

"It’s nothing really, just wanted to ask, who was the person picking you up yesterday? We saw that person and imdiately thought they must be a big boss with lots of money!" She said with a laugh.

Sun Chan replied, "He’s my boss, had so business nearby, and took along. He wasn’t taking specifically. Don’t get the wrong idea."

"What’s there to explain? Nowadays, it’s normal to help each other in the new society. If soone says sothing like that, I’ll definitely help to explain," the woman said with a smile, but her gaze was unfriendly. After she spoke, many people looked, their focus tightly on the matter.

Sun Chan understood instantly, they’re suspecting my relationship with Han Dong, are they not? She raised her voice, "His na is Han Dong, he’s my husband’s brother, they grew up together. Not real siblings, but closer than. We treat each other like family."

The woman was initially taken aback, then laughed, "I see? So, he’s a relative of your husband."

"Yes, Han Dong’s father is an officer in the army, his mother is a doctor. They’re very respectable. If you don’t believe it, feel free to check. They’re noble folk, don’t throw mud and sar their na."

Everyone laughed awkwardly and insisted they wouldn’t doubt her.

"We are all army wives with dignity, why would we do such things?"

Another woman from behind chid in, "Exactly, Sun Chan is so beautiful, if she were only after money, she wouldn’t have married Gu Junming. With her looks, couldn’t she marry so wealthy magnate?"
