"Little sister, how did you move everything already? Didn’t I say I would co this afternoon to help you move?" Xu Nian’an rushed over with his luggage without even having lunch.
Who knew, by the ti he arrived, Nianhua had already finished moving everything.
"Second brother, I’m not a child anymore. How hard can it be to move these things?" Xu Nianhua said with a smile, changing the topic. "By the way, did Ban Lin and the others go back? Is everything at the store handled?"
"Don’t worry, everything’s taken care of. Most of the items were sold last week, and we’ve taken all the money from the store. There’s very little stock left, and I’ve organized it all." Xu Nian’an replied, asking, "So, how about we book the tickets to leave the day after tomorrow? Pei Yicheng isn’t coming back with us, is he?"
"He’s busy. Last ti he said he probably wouldn’t be coming back." Xu Nianhua said while packing, "Second brother, I just called mom. She said our older brother will be at the train station to pick us up the day after tomorrow."
"I’m sure mom is looking forward to us coming ho." Even though Xu Nian’an hadn’t called, he knew that their older brother would certainly et them at the station.
"Right, have you called Shuyuan? Are we going to pick up so goods tomorrow to take back?" Xu Nianhua asked.
"We are."
Xu Nian’an had lunch with Xu Nianhua and planned to go get the goods, but Xu Nianhua insisted on going along, saying she could carry so things too.
Running a boutique at ho with Ji Shuyuan was quite profitable. Ji Shuyuan needed stock quite frequently, especially radios and watches. The watches that Ji Shuqin sourced were not only of good quality but also inexpensive to procure, and the profit margin when selling them in South City was significant.
Knowing they were returning ho soon, their maternal uncle’s family asked them to take so things back. Watches and radios don’t take up much space, but in South City, they’re not easy to co by.
The radio, ant for Grandpa Ji Xinghua, would help him pass the ti at ho.
While Xu Nianhua and her brother were busy preparing to go ho, Pei Guozhong fell ill.
The result of years of overwork, he developed high blood pressure. Luckily, it was caught early and treated in ti, otherwise, he would have been bedridden for the rest of his life.
Even though Pei Guozhong had been less busy in recent years, there were still many things he worried about.
Lying in the hospital full of the sll of disinfectant, unable to move one side of his body, Pei Guozhong’s once busy life suddenly turned quiet.
Wan Hongxing took care of him ticulously, without a hint of disdain, prompting Pei Guozhong to lant, "Hongxing, thank you for all your hard work."
"We’re husband and wife, what are you saying?" Wan Hongxing peeled an apple and cut it into small pieces for Pei Guozhong.
As Pei Guozhong ate the apple, he wanted to ask about Pei Yicheng but hesitated.
"You want to ask about Yicheng, don’t you?" Wan Hongxing seed to know what he was thinking and said, "Yesterday, right after your accident, when you were brought to the hospital, I was in a panic. After your ergency treatnt, I thought I saw Yicheng."
"Really?" Pei Guozhong’s eyes lit up instantly.
"Of course, but Yicheng was at the door of the ward and didn’t co in." Wan Hongxing sighed, "You are father and son. Knowing you had an accident, he definitely would co. But, Guozhong, I want to ask you, if Yicheng is set on Nianhua, do you really have to oppose it to the end?"
