Xu Nianhua took advantage of the early hour and deliberately detoured to Pei Yicheng’s temporary office at the factory; she brought half a waterlon planning to share it with Pei Yicheng.
Pei Yicheng had just finalized the contract details with Boss Song. When he saw Xu Nianhua arriving, his eyes instantly lit up, and he quickly stood up, pulling her to a seat to rest, handed her so water, and asked, "Why did you co to the city today?"
"What, don’t want to see ?" Xu Nianhua glanced at him and assessed his simple office, truly too simple, not even a fan, making it feel a bit stuffy inside.
Pei Yicheng, holding a file, lightly fanned her, his gentle gaze fixed on her, saying, "How could I not want to see you? I can’t get enough of seeing you every day. I wish I could open my eyes in the morning and see you."
His gaze was extrely attentive.
"Ah, can you not look at like that?" Xu Nianhua extended her hand to block his eyes, her tone carrying a tenderness that even she noticed.
Her hands were well-cared for, applying hand cream every night, coupled with not doing any rough work, making them remarkably delicate and slender, emitting a faint fragrance blocking his eyes.
"You can’t be so stingy." Pei Yicheng looked at the delicate hand right in front of him, sensing through it that she was surely blushing.
"How am I stingy!"
Xu Nianhua defiantly moved her hand up and down, revealing his eyes, then quickly closed them again, saying, "You’re the stingy one."
"Then why won’t you let see?" Pei Yicheng held her hand, noticing the blush on her cheeks making her fair face even prettier.
"Yicheng, eat waterlon."
Xu Nianhua switched topics, feeling a bit awkward to ntion that his gaze was too intense, making her feel like she was the only person in his eyes.
"I bought this waterlon on the way, it’s especially sweet, try it." Xu Nianhua handed a cut piece of waterlon in front of him.
Pei Yicheng looked down at the bright red waterlon, raised an eyebrow, and said, "Let try."
He bent down and took a big bite; the sweet waterlon was particularly refreshing. He took one from the side, handed it to her mouth, and said, "You eat too."
"Sweet."
Xu Nianhua opened her mouth and took a bite. After eating several bites, she realized their actions seed sowhat redundant!
She fed Pei Yicheng, while the one in Pei Yicheng’s hand was feeding her!
Xu Nianhua felt conflicted; did Yicheng realize this or not?
Pei Yicheng ate the waterlon in large bites, feeling satisfied, saying, "Really sweet."
"Indeed, it’s very sweet." Xu Nianhua decided not to worry about such trivialities; she ntioned the main point of her visit today, saying, "Yicheng, I ca today to ask for your help."
"Okay."
Pei Yicheng raised an eyebrow, observing Xu Nianhua, his gaze seeming to ask what kind of help she wanted.
"Yicheng, aren’t you curious about what I’m about to say? You’re agreeing without even asking, aren’t you afraid I’ll sell you off?" Xu Nianhua playfully retorted.
Pei Yicheng placed his hand on her forehead and said, "If you sell off, where would you find such a good husband?"
"Correction, whether we can walk to...is still uncertain."
Xu Nianhua hadn’t finished her sentence before her lips were sealed shut, and all the words she wanted to say were swallowed, leaving no chance to speak.
