"I have enough clothes; there’s no need to buy more." Xu Nianhua wasn’t much for clothes; the ones Ji Ying bought her regularly were more than enough. As long as they were comfortable, she was satisfied.

As Xu Nianhua was thinking this, the phone rang. Ji Ying answered it and heard Gu Mingzhu’s voice, who warmly called her Aunt Xu, so polite that Ji Ying didn’t know how to refuse her.
"I’ll take it." Xu Nianhua took the phone, sat down on a chair, and gestured for Ji Ying to go about her own business.
Ji Ying was worried but there was sothing at the Chili Sauce Factory that needed her attention, so she only reminded Xu Nianhua to speak nicely.
Ji Ying only knew about Fang Yue abandoning Nianhua; she didn’t know about the incident at the Chili Sauce Factory or Gu Mingzhu arranging for soone to harm Xu Nianji.
"Don’t worry," Xu Nianhua said softly to Ji Ying. Once Ji Ying left, Xu Nianhua said, "Hello."
"Nianhua, is that you? Hearing your voice makes so happy. I’ve been recovering these past few days and didn’t have ti to call you."
Gu Mingzhu’s voice was soft and seemingly harmless, but Xu Nianhua knew that despite her gentle appearance, she was rotten inside.
Xu Nianhua tightened her grip on the phone and said, "It’s nothing."
She spoke nonchalantly; she didn’t care about the Gu Family anymore. Why get angry?
In fact, she hoped they’d never appear in front of her again.
"Thank you, thank you for coming all the way from the county to transfuse blood and save . Without you, I might not have made it. This life-saving gratitude, sister will always rember and never forget."
Even over the phone, Gu Mingzhu’s gratitude was palpable.
It made Xu Nianhua’s skin crawl, and she quickly interrupted, "No need; under those circumstances, I would have saved anyone. No matter what, a life is a life."
She didn’t want Gu Mingzhu’s gratitude. She’d be happy enough if Gu Mingzhu didn’t cause her harm.
