Zou Yaru had cried until no more tears could fall, and then she slowly straightened up. Her eyes were red and swollen as she looked at Cheng Hao. While she cried, Cheng Hao hadn’t said a word to comfort her; he just stood there like a wooden post.
"You have changed."
Zou Yaru looked at him through tear-blurred eyes. His features were the sa, but his expression was cold, making him seem like a stranger to her.
Cheng Hao gazed deeply at her, took a few steps forward, grabbed a tissue, and handed it to her, whispering, "Everyone changes."

Rembering that the whole situation had been a scam made her heart ache as if it were being sliced with a knife. If it weren’t for that, she would have stayed with Cheng Hao; she wasn’t afraid of suffering.
"My Dad has spoiled since I was a child. When he got into trouble, I had to save him, so I could only agree to his terms."

Zou Yaru explained several sentences, but the room was so quiet, filled only with her voice. She had intended to share her grievances, but when she looked up and saw his slightly mocking eyes, her words stopped abruptly.
