Xu Nianhua’s speech was about protecting water resources. Perhaps at the current stage, this issue isn’t given enough attention, but she believed that as long as she persisted, she would be able to influence those around her.
With standard pronunciation and varying intonation, her voice was exceptionally compelling.
In just a few short minutes, Xu Nianhua finished her speech to enthusiastic applause.
On the judging panel, Professor Jenniel even stood up, not concealing her fondness for Xu Nianhua and openly offered an opportunity, saying, "Would you like to go to university in Su Country?"
Jenniel looked at Xu Nianhua with full admiration. Having spent her earlier years in China, she loved it and thus readily accepted the invitation to teach at Beining University upon receiving it.
Last year, Jenniel wasn’t in China due to other commitnts and had only recently returned. She had heard people around her constantly praising Xu Nianhua.
Today was the second ti she saw Xu Nianhua.
The first was in yesterday’s quiz competition, where Xu Nianhua’s calm and composed deanor greatly impressed her, and the second was today.
Today’s speech competition made Jenniel feel that Xu Nianhua was a linguistic genius!
It’s worth noting that not many teach English in China, and the teaching materials are also sowhat outdated. Jenniel believed that if Xu Nianhua went to Su Country for university, it would definitely be beneficial and not waste her talent.
"Jenniel, you are a professor at Beining, how can you encourage students to go abroad?" Fei ishu imdiately spoke up. She had high hopes for Xu Nianhua and couldn’t bear to see such a promising talent lured away by foreign countries.
"Exchange student," Jenniel imdiately clarified. "Xu, you’re very talented. If you’re willing to study in Su Country for a year, I believe you could learn much more."
Jenniel genuinely had taken a liking to her for her talent.
Fei ishu fell silent, agreeing that at this stage, it was indeed better for Xu Nianhua to go to Su Country to acquire more knowledge for her future.
"Thank you for your kindness; I’m flattered," Xu Nianhua answered with a smile, declining without even a mont’s consideration.
Jenniel looked at Xu Nianhua with regret but didn’t say anything further. Unquestionably, Xu Nianhua had secured the highest score at the mont.
Fei ishu gave Xu Nianhua another look. Anyone who could refuse such an opportunity from Jenniel either didn’t understand anything and declined outright or knew very well what they wanted.
And Xu Nianhua was clearly the latter.
The competition continued, but after Xu Nianhua’s brilliant performance, the subsequent speeches seed particularly lackluster.
Pei Yining, holding her cara, was still feeling excited.
Nianhua is truly remarkable!
It was said that Professor Jenniel was very prestigious and talented, and she liked Nianhua so much that she wanted to recomnd her to go to Su Country as an exchange student!
In the end, Xu Nianhua unsurprisingly clinched first place.
Dormitory 302 also stood out in this competition.
All the mbers of their dorm made it into the top ten, and even the most shy, Chang Hui, scored high on her speech.
"Am I dreaming?"
Chang Hui foolishly stared at the ten-dollar prize money, feeling as if she were dreaming!
"Nope, you really did win a ten-dollar scholarship," Ding Guo said with a smile, giving her unity cactus a big kiss before hugging Xu Nianhua excitedly. "Nianhua, thank you. Without you, I definitely wouldn’t have been able to speak during my presentation."
