Unlike Ji Shuqin’s delicate features, Cai Shuxue was taller, combining all the best traits of his big uncle Ji Lin and aunt Cai Jianhong. He was tall and handso, and though he was about the sa age as Xu Nian’an, he seed more mature.
"Shuxue, these are your cousin Nian’an and Nianhua from your aunt’s family. Nian’an is also twenty-two, just two months older than you," Cai Jianhong introduced.
"Brother Nian’an, Nianhua," Cai Shuxue said with a tight-lipped smile, greeting them before he went to the kitchen to help get the bowls and chopsticks.
Lunch went very smoothly. Ji Lin’s family intentionally tried to foster closeness, and since they were t with smiles, Xu Nian’an and Xu Nianhua wouldn’t let anyone encounter a cold shoulder.
"Nian’an, the radios you’ve brought in, are you able to sell them?" Ji Lin asked about the radios after having finished eating.
Xu Nian’an knew this was the main issue, so he put away his smile and solemnly said, "Uncle, to tell you the truth, I sold all the radios I had previously brought in. I ca today to buy more stock from Shuqin."
"Yours are all sold out too?" Ji Shuqin grinned broadly, clearly unable to contain his joy, saying, "I’ve sold out all the radios I had kept as well. I plan to go to Yangcheng again tomorrow."
"This money is for buying more stock," Xu Nian’an said as he handed five hundred yuan to Ji Shuqin, realizing that Shuqin was just getting started and must be short of money.
"Nian’an, you’re really giving help amid hardship!"
Ji Shuqin looked at Xu Nian’an, moved, with a gratitude that he couldn’t express in words.
"This is for buying stock, not a gift for you. Besides, I’ve also made money from the radios. In fact, I should thank you for giving another business opportunity," Xu Nian’an cheerfully said, making everyone feel quite at ease.
Cai Jianhong wasn’t conducting business as usual but instead smiled happily—selling the radios for money was definitely good news for them.
After Xu Nianhua and Xu Nian’an left, Ji Lin took out the thousand yuan he had saved—his ergency fund—and said gravely, "This money was kept for real ergencies, but now, you brothers are trying to build sothing. I, as a father, must support you."
"Shuqin, Shuxue, you are both my sons, Ji Lin’s sons, and I believe you can do better than your father," Ji Lin spoke emotionally, "It’s said that when brothers are united, they can cut through tal, and your mother and I are just waiting to see you make money and show us your filial piety."
"Dad, don’t worry, once we start making money, you and mom just wait to enjoy it," Ji Shuqin quickly responded.
Ji Lin glared at him and said, "Rascal, if the business loses money, does that an you won’t be filial to your mother and ?"

Cai Jianhong looked at him, eyes reddening with urgency, and laughed, "I know you both are good kids and will be filial to us."
"Right," Cai Shuxue slowly responded, feeling a sudden sense of trust looking at the money. Ever since his engagent was broken off, his heart hadn’t been happy, and like now, working in the paper mill, he always felt as if people were laughing at him.
He had to do well in business following his big brother; he had to make money; he wanted to make her regret leaving him!!!
"Sis, what do you think about our big uncle’s family?" Xu Nian’an asked after they left the Ji Family.
