"No way, right? It’s been so long!" Jiang Wanru found it hard to believe. It’s been so long already, how could it still be exposed?
"Then I’ll go take a look."
Fang Manyin thought while carrying a fruit plate upstairs. She happened to hear Xu Nianhua getting scolded, so she quietly went downstairs and said, "Mom, it’s true the kidnapping matter got found out by Brother Xu. Nianhua is getting scolded."
"What?"
Jiang Wanru exclaid, then started going upstairs, but after a few steps, she ca back down, saying, "I can’t go up. The angrier Brother Xu gets and the more he scolds Nianhua, the more it shows he’s worried. It was ultimately wrong to keep this matter from Brother Xu."
"Let Brother Xu vent his anger. Once he’s cald down, the siblings can be as close as before." Jiang Wanru thought this and didn’t hurry upstairs.
Soon, Xu Nianhua ca downstairs with Xu Nian’an. Xu Nian’an explained he had urgent business with Xu Nianhua, which was why he went directly upstairs.
"Nian’an, you don’t need to explain. In my heart, you’re just like my son. You should just treat this place as your ho." Jiang Wanru said with a smile, liking Xu Nian’an more the longer she looked at him. "I heard you’re interning at the hospital now? That’s impressive."
Jiang Wanru praised sincerely. To be able to intern at a hospital in the second sester of sophomore year—students like that are standout peers, and for dical students, such internship opportunities are very rare.
"Aunt Jiang, you’re too kind. There are five of us going to intern together." Xu Nian’an said humbly.
Jiang Wanru praised further: "Don’t be modest. If this internship opportunity cos next sester, it won’t be much, but getting it now truly shows your strong abilities and high talents. I believe you’ll certainly beco an excellent doctor in the future."
"Brother, I believe in you too. You’ll definitely be an amazing doctor in the future." Xu Nianhua echoed. In her heart, she believed Xu Nian’an would be an outstanding doctor.
"I heard you even opened two boutique stores?" Jiang Wanru asked.
Xu Nian’an nodded and said, "They can just help pay for so tuition."
"You’re interning now, so you should have very little ti, right?" Jiang Wanru asked again.
Xu Nianhua seed to understand her mom’s implication, and she looked at Xu Nian’an, asking, "Brother, do you still have ti to manage the stores now?"
"Very little." Xu Nian’an replied honestly. After starting the internship, ti beca even tighter. He spent his days running around the departnts, returning to the dorms already exhausted. The last ti he restocked, it felt like fighting a battle.
"I’ve got a solution already, don’t worry, I won’t let it affect my studies." Xu Nian’an saw her concern and reassured her.
After dinner, Xu Nian’an said to Xu Nianhua, "I’ve contacted a few suppliers last ti. They deliver the new goods to the stores on ti. Ban Lin and Sister Wei Hong are quite capable. I’ll give them a raise and hire two more people. Then I’ll just periodically check the accounts."
"Ban Lin and Sister Wei Hong are indeed capable, but so things can’t be completely left to others. So I’ll take half a day every week to go to the store, that way, it won’t get chaotic." Xu Nianhua pondered for a mont, since the store is close by, it’s no problem to spare a few hours.
"Little sis, you’re so good." Xu Nian’an couldn’t bear to let Xu Nianhua take on all the burden. He said, "Then we’ll each take care of one store. I’ll handle the dical University store, and you take care of the Beining University one."
