"Xiaoxi, why don’t you study languages?" Fei ishu felt really upset that she couldn’t outdo Jiang Wanru!
Su Xi, who was suddenly caught in the crossfire, looked innocently at Fei ishu. Clearly, they were talking about Nianhua, so why had the topic shifted to her?
"Xiaoxi’s piano skills are great; at such a young age, she’s already joined the national Folk Music Troupe and even perford on stage. Just this achievent surpasses many of her peers!" Jiang Wanru, who also cared for Su Xi, imdiately retorted to ishu’s comnt.
"Our whole family is involved in language-related fields, yet Xiaoxi insisted on studying music." Fei ishu had often been frustrated with Su Xi over this, but despite her frustration, she was proud in her heart. She said, "If Xiaoxi studied languages, she certainly wouldn’t be bad at it."
Su Xi quietly pulled Xu Nianhua away and said, "Ignore them. My mom and aunt start bickering whenever they et. Before you ca back, my mom wouldn’t say much, but now..."
Su Xi shrugged, fearing that such scenes would happen quite often in the future.
"That’s great! Has the result co out today?" Su Xi asked quietly.
Xu Nianhua nodded with a smile on her lips, and Su Xi knew it was a good result. Su Xi linked arms with her and said, "When we see Jiayi later, let’s give her a surprise."
"She’ll definitely be surprised." Xu Nianhua thought seriously. Knowing Fei Jiayi’s personality, one might not get peace and quiet with her around.
As the ti approached, Fei ishu and Jiang Wanru didn’t start arguing but instead began boasting about their daughters. Xu Nianhua silently glanced at Su Xi, who seed to have anticipated it. After all these years, they seed prone to argunts, but in reality, if anyone spoke ill of the other outside, they would fiercely defend each other. Sotis, Su Xi felt envious of such a good relationship between in-laws; it wasn’t common.
At least, from what she heard, relationships between sisters-in-law weren’t generally good.
"Nianhua, let’s go. We’ll take you to the school." Jiang Wanru was eager, excited at the prospect of taking her daughter to school for the start of term.
"No way."
Xu Nianhua imdiately opposed the idea. Seeing Jiang Wanru’s disappointed expression, she stepped forward and explained, "Mom, what I an is, I’m in college now, not in elentary school, so I shouldn’t need my parents to take . Besides, if you take to school, how do I explain it to my classmates?"
"You’re our daughter, and this is sothing everyone will know eventually." Su Jinrong reminded her. He couldn’t wait to introduce her to the world, to let everyone know he, Su Jinrong, had a daughter.
"My academic record is shining enough at school. If everyone found out, how would I ever have a quiet day again?" Xu Nianhua looked eagerly at Su Jinrong and Jiang Wanru. Her reluctance to make it public amused everyone.
If it were soone else, they might be eager to announce it to the world, unlike Xu Nianhua who seed worried about others knowing.
Fei ishu and Su Jinfang didn’t find Xu Nianhua’s change of heart surprising either. Last year, Jiang Wanru wanted to recognize Xu Nianhua as her goddaughter, and if Xu Nianhua agreed, the Su Family would definitely treat her well. Moreover, Jiang Wanru, who had no daughter at the ti, wished she could treat her as her own.
Xu Nianhua didn’t agree just because the Su family was wealthy. At the ti, Fei ishu and Jiang Wanru even remarked on it. Her academic performance and character were both exceptional. Every ti Jiang Wanru saw her, she felt an extraordinary closeness and had a strong desire to make her a goddaughter.
