Chapter 904: Chapter 904 Unrestrained Speech
Originally, Miss Qian saw Situtu Qinger framing Xuexue, knowing that the sisters were at odds, and actually took it upon herself to side with Xuexue. She recounted the whole story to Xuexue.
For Xuexue, of course it’s better to have more friends than enemies. After all, she had no grievances with Miss Qian in her past life. Since Miss Qian extended an olive branch willingly, why not accept it gladly!
“Miss Situ, what on earth is going on? I simply cannot believe you would do such a thing. That little cheap person, Situtu Qinger, has never been good news. She must have frad you.” Miss Qian was very sympathetic to Xuexue, thinking to herself that having such a little cheap person for a sister was truly bad luck for several lifetis.
Xuexue was both angered and amused. She couldn’t have imagined that Situtu Qinger would stoop to such a tactic to extricate herself. Even funnier was the fact that the excuses were so full of holes, yet the Fourth Prince, of all people, believed them. With his intelligence, even if he beca the Crown Prince, he would probably be unfit to hold his position.
“When the incident happened, I had already returned to my courtyard, I wasn’t even at the scene at all. I had no idea about the fight between the sisters. How they managed to drag
into this and made
out to be the malicious mastermind is beyond .” Xuexue was incredulous. She was puzzled why as soon as she ca in, everyone looked at her with strange eyes. Turns out, after all this ti, they regarded her as the malicious Eldest Legitimate Daughter who ruined her sister’s reputation.
“I knew it had to be the little cheap person’s doing. Miss, you are truly pitiable, having to take the fall for her. If I were you, I definitely wouldn’t be able to swallow this insult.” Miss Qian was visibly indignant.
Seeing the contemptuous glances all around her, Xuexue also felt helpless. She had only taken a walk outside and upon her return, she acquired the accusation of framing her sister. As the saying goes, when they want to condemn soone, they’ll never lack for a pretext.
“What else can be done? Even if I beat her up, it wouldn’t redy the situation.”
Miss Qian followed Xuexue’s gaze around and imdiately, with her hands on her hips, she pointed at the other young ladies present fiercely and said, “What are you looking at? Haven’t you seen that the Miss was frad by that little cheap person, Situtu Qinger? You believe such nonsense, I wonder if your brains are made of pig’s trotters.”
The Misses of the Wealthy Family present were all young ladies from noble households. Upon hearing Miss Qian’s derogatory remarks, they imdiately lost their composure: “Miss Qian, we respect you as the Eldest Legitimate Daughter of the Ministerial Mansion, but you can’t dean us like this. Comparing us to pigs’ brains, isn’t that going too far?”
Miss Qian glanced at them sidelong, her words still sharply cutting: “Exactly, even a Little Kid knows better than to wear a dress that’s been cut up, especially in the crucial parts. Would they foolishly wear it? Moreover, they are adults. Please, use your brains, will you?”
“Indeed, a bunch of pig brains.” A tender voice, childish and whining, cut through the chatter.
Everyone looked down to see the Little Kid who had eaten all of the at dishes earlier. Suddenly, they were at a loss—grown adults getting looked down upon by a Little Kid.
“It’s not just us who believe it, even the Fourth Prince does, so according to you, is the Fourth Prince a pig too?” Offended at being likened to pigs, one of the young ladies deliberately invoked the high-status Fourth Prince to challenge Miss Qian.
The Fourth Prince’s biological mother is the current Empress, and though Miss Qian may be belligerent and overbearing, she dare not act recklessly.
“The Fourth Prince was rely montarily inattentive, blinded by beauty,” Miss Qian is savvy, well aware that mbers of the Royal Family are not for her to judge. She quickly changed the subject.
