This guy had such thick skin, she said it was for the village head, yet he shalessly made it about himself. Xuexue couldn’t be bothered to explain, since they were all family anyway.
“Since we’ve delivered the goods, we’ll be heading back now.” Xuexue turned and walked away.
“Sister Xuexue, why don’t you co inside and sit for a while? You bring sothing to our house, and you won’t even drink a cup of tea, it would make us seem impolite,” Mo Shaoxing said as he watched Xuexue’s graceful departing figure, his heart filled with joy. He rarely had a chance to get close to Xuexue, and unfortunately, Big Bull was there spoiling the mood.

Xuexue didn’t even turn her head, just waved her hand dismissively.

“Don’t flatter yourself, let’s get going, Shopkeeper Fan’s cart is about to arrive.” Knowing Big Bull was jealous, Xuexue felt sweet inside, as if she had eaten honey.
When the sun was well up in the sky, Shopkeeper Fan arrived with his cart.
As soon as the cart entered the village, it was followed by a dozen mischievous kids all the way to the Xie Residence.

She climbed onto the cart and, taking it to the fields to load waterlons, waited by the roadside not far from the fields.
