Chapter 372: Chapter 372: Thrilling

“Master, Master, are you all right?” Xiao Taohong’s voice rang out anxiously.

“Ptooey, ptooey.”

After spitting out a mouthful of grass, Xuexue wiped the corner of her mouth with her sleeve and loudly replied, “I’m fine.”

Just at that mont, Big Bull’s voice ca from a distance: “Wife, wife.”

The tiger’s back was all slashed up by Xuexue; although none of the wounds were fatal, each cut reached the bone and caused it imnse pain. Perhaps seeing that help had arrived, it no longer attacked Xuexue and suddenly turned tail to flee into the deeper parts of the mountains.

As soon as Big Bull’s voice fell, with a few leaps and carrying two rabbits in his hands, he arrived before Xuexue like lightning.

“Wife, are you hurt?” Big Bull threw the wild rabbits on the ground and anxiously checked Xuexue over from head to toe.

Xuexue: “I just took a tumble.”

Just now, in the forest, he had just caught two rabbits and was about to return when he heard a thunderous tiger roar. He imdiately scooped up the two rabbits, summoned his martial power, and dashed back like a bolt of lightning.

“Where’s that damn tiger?” Big Bull looked sowhat angry.

“It ran away.”

Xuexue pointed towards the depths of the mountains and thought, even a beast knows to pick on soone to bully; it actually ran away upon seeing Big Bull return.

Because of the surprise attack by the tiger, Big Bull insisted on escorting Xuexue down the mountain to rest at ho.

Xuexue, feeling very disheartened for not being able to defeat a tiger, readily agreed.

When they returned ho, Madam Xie was quite surprised to see them back so early; they usually didn’t co back until the afternoon when they went to the mountains, but today they had returned much earlier, even before the Shichen Chinese Ti of noon had arrived.

As Big Bull was putting down the basket on the ground, he said, “Mother, Xuexue was frightened in the mountains, let her go back to her room and rest for a while.”

“What happened?” Madam Xie asked anxiously.

“Today, not long after we entered the mountains, we encountered a tiger.”

“What?”

Madam Xie’s eyes widened; tigers were forest assassins, encountering one was a life and death situation, and few could escape from its clutches. She imdiately hurried to Xuexue’s side and asked, “Xuexue, are you injured?”

“Mother, see for yourself, I’m perfectly fine.” Xuexue said and spun around nimbly on the spot.

Only after personally checking did Madam Xie relax, still trembling with fear, and said, “Oh my goodness! That was too dangerous, scared

to death. Xuexue, as a young lady, it’s best if you don’t go into the mountains anymore. If sothing happened to you, your mother wouldn’t want to live either.”

Fearing that Madam Xie would go on endlessly, Xuexue promptly touched her forehead, pretending to feel unwell, and said, “Mother, my head is very dizzy, I’d like to go back to my room to rest.”

“What’s the matter? What’s the matter? Did the tiger scratch you sowhere?” Madam Xie, hearing this, beca anxious again.

“No, I just feel uncomfortable, lying down for a while will make it go away.”

“Then hurry back to your room to rest,”

Madam Xie said as she picked up the basket with the two wild rabbits.

“Mhm!”

Xuexue replied with a sound, feigning a frail appearance, and slowly walked towards her room.

Big Bull followed behind and asked in a low voice, “Wife, where do you feel unwell? Should I call a doctor to take a look at you?”

“Are you silly? Can’t you see I was deceiving Mother?”

“Oh!” Big Bull suddenly understood, thinking to himself that his wife was really smart.

Giving him a look, Xuexue scolded playfully, “If I hadn’t said that, she would have kept nagging and then I really would have gotten a headache. When all is said and done, this is your fault.”
