Chapter 250: Chapter 250: A Loss-Making Deal
Xuexue couldn’t help but want to chuckle again! It seems that this old hag wants to hog all the benefits—where in the world does it ever work out so conveniently? How wishfully she thinks.
“Grandmother, didn’t you just say we are your granddaughters and should support you? Now when Chuner is still young, and we don’t have the ans yet, shouldn’t you be supporting us for a while?” Xuexue asked with a smile beaming on her face.
“Support my ass, you’re all just losing propositions; the Mo family certainly doesn’t have the rice to feed you.”
Old Lady Mo looked impatient, “Scram, scram, scram!” She began waving her hands to shoo them away as though she truly feared Xuexue would linger and expect als from the Mo family.
Xuexue’s smile vanished, replaced by a chilly tone, “Then, Grandmother, rember not to cause trouble in our fields. If there’s so much as a single incident, don’t bla
for not being courteous.”
“What’s that? What’s that? You wouldn’t actually hit your own grandmother, would you?” Old Lady Mo began to put on a scene, inching her body closer to Xuexue, a picture of brazen entitlent.
“Big Bull.” Xuexue, unable to bear the annoyance after two nudges, let out a loud shout.
“My lady, what’s wrong?” Big Bull stepped forward a few paces.
Seeing Old Lady Mo in full theatrics and then suddenly cowering, her body swiftly retreating at the sight of Big Bull’s imposing figure approaching her, was a picture full of panic.
“Understood!” Xuexue said nothing further and gestured with a nod of her head to one side.
Big Bull imdiately caught on and made his way over to Old Lady Mo.
Old Lady Mo, terrified, sat on the ground with her hands over her head, throat wide open, screaming at the top of her lungs, “Ah! Help!”
“Crack!”
A loud noise erupted, followed by Big Bull’s bemused voice, “Old hag, if you dare upset my lady, this block of wood will be your fate.”
Old Lady Mo, after the false alarm, couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief. The fool hadn’t been aiming for her but had instead struck the piece of wood beside her, frightening her badly. As she sensed the danger had passed, she quietly raised her head for a stealthy glance, only to be startled again by the sight before her…
The log, thick as a bench beside her, had now been reduced to splinters with a single slap from Big Bull, scattering fragnts all over the ground.
“Hisss.”
Old Lady Mo couldn’t help but gasp in shock. They had deliberately left this large and thick piece of wood, wide enough to sit on like a bench, in the courtyard, and she never imagined this fool could shatter it with his bare hands.
Concubine Sun, equally frightened, had thought she’d seen her share of formidable characters over the years at the brothel, but she had never encountered soone as intimidating as this fool. It made her even more wary.
Seeing the deterrent effect take hold, Xuexue and Big Bull strolled out grandly.
It took a very long ti for Old Lady Mo to co around, but only when she was certain that Big Bull had gone far away did she dare to wail, “You damned wretched girl, bringing a fool to intimidate your own grandmother. Aren’t you afraid of divine retribution, you curse-worthy child, it’s just too much!”
Auntie Sun stealthily patted her chest, quietly slipping into the kitchen—right now, with Old Lady Mo in a fury, she didn’t want to be her punching bag.
Just at that mont, Old Master Mo and his two sons returned from the fields to find the courtyard gate toppled and Old Lady Mo howling like it was haunted. Puzzled, Old Master Mo asked, “Old woman, what in the world happened here?”
“That curse-worthy girl, it’s too much bullying!” Seeing the n of the family arrive, feeling she had backup, Old Lady Mo wailed even louder, sitting on the ground, slapping her thighs, and howling mournfully.
“Who exactly did this?” Old Master Mo beca angry as well, “It’s simply too much bullying, bringing it right to our doorstep. It’s outright lawlessness.”
