The man’s handso face had distinct features, and his eyes were like stars; the clear amber orbs reflected Lin Xu’s shocked and beautiful visage as the corners of his lips curved up slightly in a quasi-smile.
Seeing the familiar face, Lin Xu’s pupils quivered and she exclaid in a delighted voice, “Husband!”
Emotionally touched, she clutched his arms with both hands.

Xie Changyan was dismissive and wanted to tease so more, but under Xie Mingwang’s stern gaze, he obediently shut his mouth.

Having said that, he lowered his eyes, the corners of his lips curving up as he stared at the mottled shadows on the ground, his mind flickering to the image of a woman with gauze pressed against her cheek.
The visible portions of her arms and neck were mostly wrapped in gauze, as though she had suffered so serious injuries.
He recalled their last chance eting at the company’s entrance, where she had told him she was married with children.
