He brought her with him as they snuck between several apartnts and arrived at the one where Ya Lun had left the marking. His marking indicated that he had headed up the mountain.
In order to climb up the mountain, they needed to cross the road.
Bai Qinghao lifted the binoculars and scanned their surroundings. He did not imdiately head across the road.
He needed to ensure that they would not be killed by anyone hiding in ambush.
“Help… !” A young, beautiful woman with asian features cried for help as she ran down the street. Bullets were following her.
Finally, the opportunity was here!
Bai Qinghao was not interested in killing anyone, nor was he interested in saving anyone.
However, with that woman acting as a distraction, he was able to bring Fang Xinxin with him as they quickly ran across the street.
They safely arrived before the mountain. There was a large and thick forest right behind it.
The two of them hid in the thick bushes and slowly made their way forward.
They needed to prioritize their own safety.
Ahead, there were four individuals engaged in battle. They were running while firing bullets at each other.
Bai Qinghao and Fang Xinxin waited till these people were so distance away from them.
They found more markings that Ya Lun had left behind on a nearby tree.
They followed his markings and headed forward.
On their way, Bai Qinghao checked the phone he had found every so often. However, there wasn’t any signal till nowl.
Every so often, they would find a corpse lying here and there. All the valuables on the corpses had already been looted.
Fang Xinxin frowned and asked softly. “Hubby, what on earth is going on here? Why does it appear so similar to the ga of which I’ve been playing?”
“This isn’t a ga.” Bai Qinghao’s expression was serious. “We’ll die if we get shot.”
“I know.” She was simply confused by their circumstances.
These people fired the mont they saw soone. Although they wanted to ask questions, there was no one they could ask.
They followed Ya Lun’s marking and carefully left the forest. They headed into an abandoned workshop.
Bai Qinghao and Fang Xinxin decided to rest in the workshop’s office for a while.
Bai Qinghao brought two pieces of bread out from his backpack and shared it with Fang Xinxin. They shared a bottle of water afterwards.
Five minutes later, a foreign man was suddenly seen pursuing a woman while firing bullets at her.
“Help !” The woman cried out in English as she ran into the abandoned workshop.
This was clearly the woman they had encountered earlier in the abandoned town.
They did not expect her to survive.
The foreign man glanced up and found Bai Qinghao and Fang Xinxin in the office. He imdiately directed his gun at them.
Bai Qinghao was much faster than him though. He raised his gun and aid it straight at the man’s head, taking his life in a split second.
His movents were clean, without the slightest hesitation.
The woman imdiately ran towards them. Just as Bai Qinghao pointed his gun directly at her, she hurriedly lifted her hands in surrender. She said in English, “Don’t fire the gun! I don’t have any bad intentions!”
She took a proper look at Bai Qinghao and her eyes lit up. She spoke in Chinese excitedly. “You’re Bai Qinghao!”
“You know ?” Bai Qinghao frowned as he shot her an indifferent look. “I’m certain I don’t know you.”
“You’re the one and only Sheng Shi Group’s CEO, Bai Qinghao!” The woman’s gaze was heated as she stared fixedly at his handso features. “Although you don’t know , I’ve often seen news articles related to you. I’m Dai Weian. I’m a news reporter. I previously wanted to interview you but it’s a pity you rejected my request. I co from the sa country and city as you do. I truly did not expect to et you here!”
But Bai Qinghao did not let his guard down.. “What on earth is this place? Why are the people here after each other’s lives?”
