Chapter 168: Father-Daughter Relation
She noticed the tag on his white coat which read ‘Resident Physician: Zhang Jingting’.
“Doctor Zhang, how is my dad?” Fang Xinxin asked a bit impatiently.
“His bedsores are serious, but they can still be treated. However, the rotten flesh on his legs needs to be removed through surgery imdiately. If we don’t do so, his life will be in danger!” Zhang Jingting, who was around forty years old, replied seriously.
Fang Xinxin panicked and responded. “Will his life be saved if we go ahead with the surgery?”
She had just realised that, in her past life, her father died ten days from this date.
“If we conduct the surgery imdiately, he should be fine.” Zhang Jingting assured her.
Fang Xinxin spoke without hesitating. “In that case, please arrange for it imdiately.”
“Long Yifan’s body is too... dirty. We need soone to clean him up for the surgery. Otherwise, there may be a risk of infection.”
Upon hearing this, Fang Xinxin imdiately took off her father’s clothes and brought over a basin of water to wipe him thorough;y. “Doctor, please call soone over. It will be faster if I have so help.”
Zhang Jingting looked troubled. “His body is really dirty. Our care workers are employed externally. They may not listen to our orders. I’m afraid they won’t be willing...”
“Call one over right now. I’ll pay them ten tis their rate.”

He brought his phone out and made a call before informing her. “A care worker will co over imdiately.”

Fang Xinxin did not bla them. “I can only condemn myself for being careless. I haven’t been fulfilling my duties as a daughter. It seems that my mother has been ruthless. She lied to and claid that she had been taking good care of my father. My brother, Fang Shaohua, has been in jail for the past three years. You naturally couldn’t contact him.”
“Your mother is really cruel.” Zhang Jingting said ruefully.

This was not because of her mother’s cruel actions. Her heart was aching for her father’s suffering.
She swore to herself that she would take good care of him from now onwards!
After being offered ten tis the rate, a care worker quickly arrived.
Fang Xinxin worked with her and Long Yifan was cleaned up. They shifted him onto a different bed and quickly pushed him into the operation theatre.
Fang Xinxin sat outside the operating theatre. Her heart was overwheld with worry.
