"Good evening, Adam," Azumi's voice pipes into his ear. "I trust you've slept well?"
Adan blinks, with the last vestiges of drowsiness out of his eyes.
"I'm alright."
"Good. There is to be a briefing in an hour. All players and senior non-combats are to attend. That obviously includes you."
She says as she flopped on the chair opposite to the bed, he was currently resting on the camp which is located near the battlefield.
"Yeah, I will co"
"Also I don't know, what to say, but you have to beco the commander, you are stronger than "
Azumi said as she left the camp, leaving Adam surrounded by silence once again.

After a hour
The briefing room is nearly full when he gets there. After a quick count, Adam realizes that there could be no more than a 3 or so people to arrive.
The 14 leaders were also seated there, Adam gazes into the room for the familiar faces, almost imdiately he spots azumi.
Adam walks over to her and sit down next to azumi.
"So, what happened, when I was absent"
She looks away for a mont.
"After the update, the monster started to attack the city, as you know we are trying our best to near the monster Lord, but we can't even get close to his subordinates"
"At the start of horde, we had to fight our way out, and defended the three walls, we managed to defend the monsters entering from the city, but as for the West wall, well..."
Azumi shrugs,
"The area got nearly wiped out. The monsters sward them as they were retreating, and we weren't there to defend them. Only the theif guild mbers and a few other NPCs made it back to the base camp."
Adam nods. "What happened then?"
"When we got back to the other side, the monsters number already multiplied to another extent, so the magicians from magic tower, temporarily casted a magic wall, to prevent them from entering the city any further."
"Well then, what's this briefing about?"
She shakes her head.
"I don't have a clue. The Leader NPC, just told to report to the briefing room also to inform you, and that attendance was mandatory. It's gotta be sothing big but I have no idea what. Do you?"
Adam shakes his head. "No idea, I just got back. I thought you'd know better than ."
"Well, I don't, sorry."
Before Adam can respond, the place fills with the shuffling of movent, as all the heads around Adam turn towards the front of the room.
"Immortals(players) and city's aces, attention!" Harper diren, the master of magic tower's voice cuts through the air of the room like a cracking whip, drawing the eyes of everyone in the room.
Imdiately, the whispers into room went off, it turned into dead silent.
"Ladies and gentleman, we can't drag this war any longer, the past few days has beco very hard for defending the base"
"Fortunately We have killed one of the guardian of the monster Lord, but we can't rest easy"
"As long as monster Lord is alive the monsters will keep coming endlessly"
The old man takes a deep breath. Whatever he is about to say must weigh heavily on his soul indeed if it is capable of showing through hid normally stoic exterior.
"However, there is way to end this war by tomorrow, if we lose this chance we can no longer defend the city."
"Behind us, there are no further lines of defense. The enemy will be free to reduce our worlds to rubble, one by one."
The room is completely silent now. Nobody speaks, nobody objects, nobody even seems to breathe.
"Now without further halt: The plan"
A image forms beside the old man, it was actually like a photo which was taken up in the sky.
Adam can guess, it could be one of the skills of the old man, after all he had live a couple of centuries.
"Now, my successor immortal(player) Adam has ca here, things will turn out easy" he pauses for mont and continues.
"Tomorrow at the start of the horde, I will step into the battlefield and cast a destructible spell, which will cause a chaos in the battlefield"
"The monsters will be scattered and confused of what's happening around them, at that ti the squad under commander Adam will break-out the inner circle"
"After reaching the, monster Lord all the things are up to them"
"While they are fighting the monster Lord, our city's aces will try their best to hold on the monsters and the guardian"
So of the new star players and fellow NPCs looks to their neighbors nervously. The old man's plan is desperate, risky, and unprecedented, but there is no other way.
"This will be put on ACTION TOMORROW" the old man said in a stren voice "Then, enjoy your remaining hours...remarkably" as he went out of the tent.
The players and NPCs also started to depart from the tent, when one of the strong players arrived before Adam.
He was Zhang Zhao "I don't know, how strong you are but, if you failed to kill the monster Tommorrow, My company will face big losses, so prepare well for consequences"
"You-" azumi tried to speak up against him for the sake of Adam, but Adam stopped her.
He knew the power of Zhao family in China, one of the seven great pillars of China.
He didn't wished azumi to get tangled against him, Adam standed up from the seat...without speaking or showing any emotions, Adam only expressed his middle finger for reply.
Zhang Zhao was boiling with rage as he starred at the Adam's retreating figure with firey eyes.
