"Mom, Brother, there you are!"
While they were chatting leisurely, a feminine voice suddenly ca from behind. Li Caiyi felt her blood run cold when she heard that familiar voice. She slowly turned around, and as expected, she was there.
A girl wearing a short red dress with a sweetheart neckline walked over with a big smile on her face. She had a petite figure and short hair. Her upturned eyes squinted when she saw the twins before her smile also stiffened.
This girl was ng Shuchun, ng Renshu's little sister, and currently in her third year in middle school.
Even now, the mory of ng Shuchun coldly slapping the divorce agreent on top of the table in front of her was still vividly remained in her head. Li Caiyi could easily picture it once she closed her eyes.
From the first ti they t, ng Shuchun had always held animosity towards her and Li Chunhua. She once suspected it might have sothing to do with ng Renshu, who doted on the twins as much as he doted on ng Shuchun. Hence, ng Shuchun was jealous and developed a bad habit of bullying them, but Li Caiyi later realized her assumption was wrong.
ng Shuchun was just a bully, no more and no less. She had been spoiled since she was young and thought that everyone should bow before her. When Li Caiyi officially beca a part of the ng Family, her antics grew worse and worse.
In a way, ng Shuchun's personality was similar to Li Chunhua, with the only difference being that ng Shuchun was aner. Li Chunhua loved to manipulate people who disturbed her, but she never hard random people who never tried to hurt her first.
anwhile, ng Shuchun could bully anyone just because she felt like it. No matter how unscrupulous her action was, she could always get away with it.
She absolutely despised those who tried to approach her family with bad intentions. In her eyes, the Li siblings were included in that category. ng Shuchun always had this mindset that Li sisters deliberately tried to get close to her brother to take advantage of him.
Li Caiyi could faintly hear Li Chunhua click her tongue beside her, indicating her displeasure when ng Shuchun stopped in front of them.
"Brother, where have you been? I want to introduce you to my friends, but you are nowhere to be found," ng Shuchun pouted.
"I believe I have greeted your friends earlier?" ng Renshu tilted his head in confusion.
"Yeah, but how can you leave abruptly, just like that? I always brag about you in front of my friends, so they are curious about you. Stay with us a bit more!"
"I'm not an expensive bag you can brag about, you know?" ng Renshu said helplessly, but she wouldn't be ng Shuchun if she took 'no' as an answer.
"Co on, just a little more, okay? You just have to respond to them a few tis with so cool words, then I won't bother you anymore. My na is on the line here!"
"Shuchun, don't be willful. I know you will only increase your demand after that, like wanting to speak or show sothing to impress your friend. There would be no end to your whims."
ng Shuchun frowned with her lips curved down before glaring at the twins resentfully. Looking at her expression, she must have thought that the twins were the ones that coaxed her brother to stay.
Li Caiyi could never understand this girl's logic no matter how long ti had passed. It was like nothing was ever her fault at all. If sothing went wrong, it was all other people's fault and never hers.
Thankfully, Qin Xiangjun interfered before this firecracker girl roasted them again. "Xiaochun, your brother is right. It wasn't proper for the main character to leave the rest of the guests just to entertain your friends. He still has a lot of other people to greet. You and your friend can wait until the next opportunity."
"But Mom, my friends are really looking forward to it. They wanted to speak more with Brother because he was amazing when he was giving a speech earlier, and I already promised them I would bring him to them."
"You shouldn't make promises you can't keep. Anyway, what are you doing suddenly barging in and whining without even greeting the guest in front of you?"
ng Shuchun glared at the twins hatefully again upon hearing her mother reprimand her because of them.

She scanned the twins up and down openly, making Qin Xiangjun frown in dissatisfaction, but Li Caiyi knew she would never criticize her daughter's manner in front of other people. If we were to use comparison, Qin Xiangjun was like a mother wolf who was really protective of her cubs. The most she would do was only reprimand them softly in front of other people but never directly criticize them.
ng Shuchun snorted before she said, "Well, I guess you guys look decent this ti."
"Shuchun!" ng Renshu hissed beside her.
"What? I said nothing wrong. I bet their gown is sothing you have prepared, isn't that right, Brother?" She sneered before she continued, "Life sure is convenient for so people."
"Hey, stop it now, or I'll get angry!" ng Renshu grabbed her sister's arm with a warning look on his face.
ng Shuchun glared at him before harshly tugging her arm out of his grip. "What? What did I say wrong? You didn't even bat an eye when I asked you to help prepare my dress, too. In the end, it was Mom who helped !"
"That's because you already had a lot of dresses. There are so you have never used too."
"Then, you are admitting I'm right? They deliberately display their pitiful self in front of you, so you will take pity on them. I'm only telling the truth; you're the one who is fooled by them, Brother!" ng Shuchun argued with a pretty loud voice, gathering people's attention.
ng Renshu, who noticed a lot of eyes were on them, cast an apologetic look towards the twins. Qin Xiangjun frowned in disapproval but said nothing to relieve the tension.
It was almost as if she was waiting to see what kind of response the twins would give. Her habit of pushing others into a pressuring situation was still the sa as ever.
