Chapter 622: Chapter 140 Conspiracy and Suspicions
At this mont, within a special, small space, Landon, the Last Dragon Descendant, as well as Princess Paola sought by Anvis, all hid inside.
Previously, she had actually followed her father’s orders, going to secretly et with Landon, who was disguised as ‘White Crow’, to transfer to him the item they had agreed upon, ensuring that he opened it in her presence.
However, the mont that box was opened, an accident occurred.
Inside the opened box lay a peculiar book that was burned halfway, and on the book’s cover, a symbol resembling a triangle suddenly lit up.
Almost at the sa ti, Landon instinctively activated his special ability, awakened after breaking through to Fourth Rank, pulling himself, Princess Paola, and the Last Dragon Descendant into Zero Point Space.
It was the strongest life-saving skill he had acquired, an extrely special conceptual subspace: only those aware of its existence could perceive and enter it.
“Dark Crow, think of sothing, will you?”
Feeling the terrifying presence from outside, Landon’s brow was furrowed with worry.
“What can I do? I’ve told you ti and again that liking soone new at every turn is bound to lead to trouble!”
The cold laughter of Dark Crow echoed in Landon’s Spirit Space.
“Paola must have been frad too. Otherwise, with the presence of that entity outside, she definitely wouldn’t have had the ability to escape successfully on her own.”
Yet Landon shook his head, looking at Princess Paola who lay unconscious next to him, concerned for her condition.
“I can feel that she harbors no ill will towards . I can’t just watch her die in front of .”
“Yes, she ans you no harm. I hope that thing outside feels the sa!”
Dark Crow’s roar resonated within Landon’s Spirit Sea, his words shifting focus to the Last Dragon Descendant who was holding a Crystal Ball and looking around.
“And, you should be very clear about the weakness of your ability, right? Why did you bring that obviously foreign person here?”
“They, as foreigners, are not infinitely resurrectable either. If they die enough tis, they too will lose all their strength.”
Sighing gently, Landon sincerely apologized.
“I’m sorry, Dark Crow, I realize now that my actions were sowhat thoughtless. But at the ti of saving soone, I didn’t think that much.”
In the midst of speaking, a certain Radiance seed to twinkle in the depths of the young man’s pitch-black eyes.
“You fool…”
To Landon’s response, Dark Crow was speechless.
Indeed, from the ti he was reluctantly possessed by Dark Crow upon awakening and embarked on adventures together, to the slow recovery of his own strength but never choosing to leave, rather continuously helping – all because he was drawn to that very Trait in him.
Though sotis a bit foolish, it didn’t diminish his charismatic personality.
“Whatever, let’s just figure out how to escape from here first…”
“So, you’re hiding here? It wasn’t easy to find you!”
However, as Dark Crow spoke, an unfamiliar voice suddenly interjected.
Startled, Landon jerked up, his gaze imdiately shifting to the source of the voice, only to recognize the newcor.
“Lord Anvis? How did you… how did you find this place?”
“This subspace? Indeed, it’s quite hidden, but not too difficult to locate. I felt its existence, so I ca in to have a look.”
Anvis shrugged nonchalantly, his tone enigmatic. Beside him, the Last Dragon Descendant withdrew the Crystal Ball, trying to diminish their own presence.
This space was indeed miraculous; even many Ninth Rank and that peculiar entity had failed to discover it, yet internal positioning could not be obstructed.
“So, that entity outside, did you summon it?”
Upon hearing Anvis’s question, Landon hurriedly explained.
“No! Before, Princess Paola opened a box. Then I suddenly felt danger, so I took them and hid in here. As for the situation outside, I’m not entirely sure.”
“…What happened? Am I still alive?”
While Landon was explaining, the blonde girl beside him also slowly ca to her senses.
“Why…”
The following mont seed to finally trigger a recollection of her own actions, and tears started falling from her eyes. She knelt on the ground, crying silently, her emotions near collapse.
“Tell what happened exactly, where is that box now?”
Ignoring the suddenly distraught Princess Paola, Anvis sharply latched onto the crucial information in Landon’s words.
“Inside that box was sothing that looked like a book, and a symbol on the page started to glow when I saw it.
The next mont, I felt danger and activated my power to enter here and hide. As for the box, it’s with now, but the book inside it doesn’t glow anymore.”
Landon explained rapidly, well aware that there was no need to hide this information.
At the sa ti, he took out a black wooden box and handed it to Anvis.
Inside the box, a peculiar book with burnt marks, incomplete, lay there quietly.
“Sorry, I’m very sorry, I didn’t know it would be like this! My father asked to bring sothing to Mr. White Crow, and that box was passed on to by my clan’s uncle. I really didn’t know what was inside!”
At the sa ti, Princess Paola, who had finally managed to suppress her crying, also began to explain.
She knew very well that, with things having turned out this way, she had an undeniable responsibility, even though she was unaware of the circumstances beforehand.
“I understand now…”
After listening to both of them, Anvis finally had a clear understanding of the situation.
Princess Paola had been used to bring the item in here, then opened it in front of Landon, summoning that yellow thing outside.
Of course, to tell the truth, with Landon, the Child of Destiny here, it’s quite normal for so trouble to occur.
And usually, according to destiny’s course, Landon should be able to solve the problem at a crucial mont and stand out prominently in front of the leaders of the three major forces.
“It’s chaotic outside now. You’ve unleashed a super-ordinary terror, and Ninth Ranks of the Three Great Empires are currently in battle with it. It’s best for you to hide here a bit longer, and if you can escape back to the Main World, even better.”
After briefly explaining the situation outside, Anvis left with the box and the book.
Duke Carrot is still confronting that indescribable entity, and Anvis is sowhat concerned for the Duke’s safety.
The problem is obvious, soone intentionally planned all of this. The true purpose is not clear for now, but it definitely bodes no good.
According to the arrangents of destiny, Anvis suspects that the book might very well be a breakthrough point.
…..
At this mont, in the observation area, a Ninth Rank sensed from afar the battle between the people and that thing, feeling a sense of imnse satisfaction.
Just as Anvis thought, this was indeed a conspiracy.
Within the Ninth Ranks, there are factions for war and factions for peace. The stability of the continent’s situation doesn’t benefit everyone.
And so, taking advantage of the rare opportunity presented by the Leader’s Conference, they successfully orchestrated this scene. Using the incomplete book as a dium, at the crucial mont, they guided the projection of the Naless King to descend.
Yes, everyone knows there is a conspiracy behind this, but what of it?
Now, the only ones in the know, Princess Paola and the White Crow, are presumably dead, and all possible fates connected to him have been severed. He could perfectly remove himself from the equation.
What follows is a ti of mutual suspicion.
