And as the teor streaked across the sky, the Net of Destiny likewise underwent changes, which alerted many Prophets to this new variable.
However, as a black hole that completely shielded the Net of Destiny, the Councilman on the battlefield remained unaware of all this.
"Why haven’t you given up yet, Lord Zast? Is there sothing you are relying on?"
Looking at Anvis who was still quietly floating in the Sleeping Snow, the Councilman’s interest was piqued, and he raised his eyebrows slightly.
In Anvis’s eyes, there was no color of despair, only vigilance, gravity, and a hint of fervor.
This expression puzzled the Councilman, but at this mont, the Will of Ma’elim was also reaching its final monts of descent.
In the splendid night sky obscured by the Starry Snow, the vague phantom of a huge dark yellow eyeball had begun to erge.
It was tightly shut but almost covered the entire starry sky with its size.
"Lord Far, the true Core Nexus that connects ’It’ with this world is actually you yourself, isn’t it?"
Looking at the Councilman whose aura was still climbing, Anvis spoke calmly, as if he hadn’t seen the giant eyeball in the sky.
"As long as you disappear from this world, ’It’ will once again lose its anchor point."
"You are right. But even if you know it now, what can you do about it?"
Upon hearing Anvis’s words, the Councilman nodded with interest and did not deny this point.
"I can even give you another piece of news. If you can completely erase before ’It’ opens its eyes and sees this world, then indeed ’It’ will lose its positioning.
But guess, how much longer will it take before ’It’ opens its eyes?"
Powered by the innate strength emitted by Ma’elim, he had already far surpassed Ninth Rank, reaching a level even sowhat unfamiliar to himself.
And the aura of power on Anvis was clearly weaker than his.
The Councilman had a feeling that even without using any secret technique, purely relying on overwhelming strength, Anvis was definitely no match for him.
This ti, he could find no reason for failure.
"Thank you for the tily information, Lord Far."
In the midst of the Councilman’s mocking gaze, Anvis nodded nonchalantly, his gaze suddenly shifting.
"Here it cos—"
Although suspecting Anvis of trying to create suspense without substance, the Councilman still looked in the direction of Anvis’s gaze.
What first caught his eye was a dark green teor.
The next mont, the teor expanded abruptly, revealing the Power Dragon avatar, as well as the real Ancient Secret Scripture.
Previously, worried about the safety of the Ancient Secret Scripture, Anvis had not let the avatar carry it, preferring always to leave it with his main body, using it rely as a storage and conversion device for Magic Power.
But sensing a strange Trait on the Councilman, he quickly abandoned his original plan and prepared to Seal the Councilman directly.
However, as the body of the Ancient Secret Scripture had absorbed and gathered too much power from the chanical network, to transport it via space secret technique had beco nearly impossible.
The stronger the inherent Magic Power of the object being transported, the more energy required, and for the Ancient Secret Scripture body that had gathered nearly half the power of the chanical network, no Spell could withstand the consumption of forcibly transporting it.
So Anvis imdiately abandoned the original plan and instead had the Power Dragon avatar bring it at maximum speed.
On the way, thanks to the Power Dragon avatar’s complete Force Field Control Ability, and the temporary creation of a vacuum tunnel by drawing the air out of the path ahead, Anvis could rapidly bring the Ancient Secret Scripture across thousands of miles to the battlefield.
"So that’s your ace in the hole you’ve been waiting for, a book?"
Sensing the fluctuation of power contained within the Ancient Secret Scripture in the claws of Anvis’s Power Dragon avatar, the Councilman felt sowhat skeptical.
Indeed, the Ancient Secret Scripture, having absorbed the power of the chanical network, was extrely powerful, but it still fell short compared to him now.
But in the next mont, his expression turned to shock.
Without requiring Anvis to manipulate it, the Ancient Secret Scripture automatically opened, as if it had seen so supre delicacy, instantly turning to the last blank page.
The color on the pages turned pale, and in an instant, an irresistible strength burst forth, enveloping the Councilman.
"What in the world is this?!"
Feeling his ’existence’ gradually being sealed into the pages, the Councilman was shockingly dismayed, the power from Ma’elim inside him surged violently, attempting to destroy the Ancient Secret Scripture, the source of the Sealing.
This indeed had so effect. The power of Ma’elim and the strength of the Ancient Secret Scripture were equally matched, and they stood in a brief stalemate.
But at this mont, the difference in their total amounts of Magic Power beca evident.
Since the Ancient Secret Scripture’s capacity to bear was far greater than the Councilman’s personal body, it significantly increased its output of strength after a slight tug-of-war.
At the sa ti, the force of the chanical network affixed to the thick to started to be consud at a visible rate, converting into the Ancient Secret Scripture’s own strength.
In this battle of powers, the strength of Ma’elim inside the Councilman rapidly depleted.
"You once told : the human body has its limits. I think you were right, Councilman Far."
Looking at the pale-faced Councilman, Anvis smiled mysteriously.
"Hence, I no longer use a human body. What about you?"
"Hmph... Do you think you’ve already won?"
Knowing there was no hope of escape, while the Councilman was strenuously resisting the Sealing, his left eye suddenly and unexpectedly condensed into a pitch-black beam, instantly shooting towards Anvis.
The latter imdiately flickered to one side, but the beam, as if tracking, flashed in sync with Anvis’s movent, piercing through the multilayered magical protection around Anvis’s body and hitting Anvis’s very core.
"You..."
With a trace of astonishnt still on his face, Anvis’s body began to disintegrate, along with his clothes, turning into pieces of black snow falling down.
This was a Class Magic spell from the essence of an extraterrestrial being bonded to him, known as the Void Predator Soth Zast, the Horror Devouring Beam.
It possessed the trait of inevitable accuracy on a rule level and could devour the target’s soul along with their body.
He was gambling that the sealing of this strange book required Anvis himself to maintain it.
But to the Councilman’s despair, the sealing of the Ancient Secret Scripture did not stop with Anvis’s ’death.’
Furthermore, because he had just been distracted by attacking Anvis, the strength resisting the Sealing unavoidably weakened. In that mont, part of his ’existence’ once again flowed into the pages.
With that, the already tilted balance between the two collapsed like an avalanche.
"I was so close to leaving this world... I cannot accept this! I will not accept this!!"
With imnse unwillingness, he glanced at the still tightly shut giant eye in the night sky, and the deanor of the Councilman, or rather Soth Zast, finally descended into madness.
He unleashed another beam towards the Ancient Secret Scripture, but as a vessel bearing the force of the chanical network, the dark green to was immune to the attack.
In the end, the Councilman’s figure completely faded and disappeared, sealed within the pages.
After the sealing ended, the Ancient Secret Scripture quieted down, floating gently in mid-air, resembling a dark green star.
At this mont, within the gaze of the Power Dragon’s avatar, the giant eyeball in the night sky trembled ever so slightly, but ultimately did not manage to open.
The heavy snow in the sky gradually lessened, and the various anomalies in the Dream Realm also began to disperse.
The Power Dragon avatar slowly floated beside the Ancient Secret Scripture and raised its foreclaw, activating a Talisman.
In a flash of magical radiance, another avatar of Anvis erged from it.
He was very weak at this mont; the pitch-black beam released by the Councilman before being sealed away had completely annihilated the part of the soul that was controlling the avatar.
Thanks to the protection of the Ancient Secret Scripture, the beam did not trace back to the core self along with the avatar. Still, even so, he would need proper rest to recuperate from his grave injuries.
"Do you know why I like the nickna ’Zast,’ Councilman Far?"
Flipping through the dark green to before him, Anvis touched the lifelike image of the Councilman on the pages, revealing a slightly pale smile, and murmured softly.
"Because ’justice’ will always prevail."
