39: Chapter 39 Fiona’s Dreamland 39: Chapter 39 Fiona’s Dreamland Editor: Atlas Studios As he spoke, Anvis made a gesture behind his back.

The air in front of Fiona suddenly rippled, and a faintly glowing phantom appeared out of nowhere in mid-air.

It first transford into Fiona’s likeness, and then the surrounding environnt of a adow erged.

After reaching the First Rank, Anvis could already use Illusion Technique to animate his stories.

The young girl was slightly stunned, then curiously extended her little hand, trying to touch the ‘Fiona’ floating in mid-air, but her pale fingers only passed futilely through the illusion.

“This is just a Silent Illusion, Fei.”

Anvis chuckled and shook his head, continuing to tell his story.

“She frolicked rrily in the lush field, sotis chasing butterflies, sotis picking wildflowers.”

“Could she tell which butterflies and wildflowers were safe, and which ones posed a danger?”

Fiona gazed at the illusion in mid-air, her eyes wide with curiosity as she asked.

“Of course, she is as wise and knowledgeable as you are.”

Anvis lifted his pale, slender hand and affectionately stroked Fiona’s soft, light golden long hair.

The girl tilted her head back comfortably, her face showing a satisfied expression, as her lake-blue eyes, clear as a pool, narrowed into slits.

“In the afternoon, Saer’s ① radiance beca more intense, and the girl grew a bit tired, so she went to rest under a giant old willow tree near the lake.”

Amidst so huge tree roots, the lush green grass made the ground very soft.

She lay comfortably under the cool shade of the tree, and the dappled sunlight fell on her like scattered gold…”

“Tired so quickly, she probably wasn’t very strong…

Isn’t she worried about encountering danger taking a nap outside?”

Fiona looked up, watching Anvis with innocent eyes.

“She’s certainly not as strong as my dear sister, but she is a formal spellcaster too.

You know, in such a leisurely and comfortable afternoon, even a Great Mage might want to relax a little bit.”

Anvis explained calmly to the girl with a slight smile.

“Hmm!

That does make sense; I always get sleepy every afternoon too!”

Fiona nodded in agreent, her white arms propped on the sofa, ears perked, fully absorbed as she awaited the continuation of the story.

“As she drowsily lay there, a large white rabbit wearing a black tuxedo, with pink eyes, hopped past her in leaps and bounds.

She seed to hear the rabbit muttering to itself: ‘Oh dear!

Oh dear!

I’m going to be late—’

Saying so, the rabbit pulled out a pocket watch from its coat pocket, checked the ti, and then hurriedly ran into the distant forest.”

In the illusion in mid-air appeared the silhouette of this rabbit, dressed in a tailcoat popular during the ti of Gloria II, along with a neat black top hat.

At this mont, it was looking at a tiny pocket watch.

“She must have encountered a mysterious phenonon!”

Fiona’s gaze was fixed on the illusion in mid-air, her little pale fist clenched with excitent and curiosity, her waterfall-like light golden long hair shimring.

This was a special effect she gained after her Bloodline Awakening; after reaching the First Rank, her two Legendary Bloodlines had fully awakened.

This made her strength skyrocket while also bringing so small appearance changes.

Under the influence of her awakened Radiant Heavenly Bird bloodline, her hair constantly emitted a faint glow, and when her emotions fluctuated significantly, the brightness of the light would change.

“And then?

Did she catch the rabbit?

I heard that the left hind leg of such a mysterious rabbit can be used to make a Luck Talisman!

It can bring extraordinary luck to the wearer!”

Seeing Fiona’s eager eyes filled with excitent, Anvis smiled and continued the story.

“The girl jumped up, all drowsiness gone.

But the strange rabbit had already run far; she hurriedly cast a Windwalking Technique on herself and closely pursued the rabbit.

During the chase, she tried to use animate plants to bind the rabbit, use Telekinesis to trip it, and create pitfalls ahead of it with Earth Elent magic, but each ti, the rabbit escaped using bizarre thods.

Eventually, the rabbit ran deep into the forest beneath a massive Carol Rong Tree, several people together could barely clasp their arms around its twisted roots.

The girl arrived a step too late, and could only helplessly watch as the rabbit ran into a large hole among the tree roots.”

In front of the girl’s illusion, the plot developed synchronously with Anvis’s storytelling.

With the final failed casting of Ice Shackles by mini Fiona, the rabbit successfully evaded the girl chasing behind.

“Oh—that’s quite unfortunate.”

Fiona adorably shook her little head, as if it were she who had lost track of the rabbit.

“But she didn’t give up and followed the rabbit into the hole!”

Anvis chuckled mischievously.

“The rabbit hole, at first, slanted downward, but after she ran a few steps, the tunnel suddenly turned straight down!

Unprepared, Fiona lost her footing and scread as she fell into the dark and deep hole!”

With Anvis’ depiction, the illusion in mid-air suddenly transford into a pitch-black cave, which then swiftly consud the girl on the sofa!

“Waaah—!”

Fiona shrieked in surprise, her small head instinctively pulling back, her light golden hair glowing like a light bulb.

The fragile illusion was instantly dispelled by magic power, and with her vision restored, the girl quickly raised her head, glaring venomously at the culprit beside her.

“But at the critical mont, she quickly triggered the Feather Fall Technique fixed on her ring, allowing herself to slowly descend.

Simultaneously, she swiftly cast a Candlelight Technique, summoning a white Light Ball to follow her and illuminate the cavern below as she descended.”

“This was to light up the cave below and also serve as a distraction for any Magic Beasts that might be lurking there, preventing a sneak attack while she was unprepared.”

Anvis pretended not to see the girl’s gaze, naturally supplenting a Silent Illusion and continued narrating the story while casually giving the girl so ruin-exploration knowledge.

Furthermore, he intentionally ignored the girl’s pouty cheeks, and conveniently stroked her softly glowing long hair.

Ah, the texture is superb!

Fiona was stunned for a mont, her anger instantly surging to new heights, yet she was sowhat reluctant to forego the ongoing story.

Ultimately, the girl grumpily lay back on the sofa, thinking fiercely to herself that she wouldn’t say another word to pesky Anvis for the rest of the day.

Yes!

The whole day!

She swore it on the na of her little kitty!
