"I understand."
Anvis nodded slightly, indicating that he had understood.
Upon reflection, this matter is actually not hard to understand.
The Duke did not want her to engage in a royal marriage, likely due to her special origins.
Fiona’s origin has always been a mystery, the young Anvis in his past life was not aware of this, and the Duke never discussed it with him.
However, considering her astonishing bloodline concentration, it is very likely the result of so kind of taboo magical experint.
And the Royal Family’s insistence on marrying her off to Fiona probably stems from so secret intelligence about her, aiming to kill two birds with one stone.
They could test the loyalty of the Olivendi Family while also determining if she is connected to the ’star’ ntioned in the previous prophecy.
Normally, as one of the Empire’s top four Duke Families, the Olivendi Family has no reason to refuse a royal marriage proposal.
But if they truly refuse, it would suggest that the Olivendi Family likely knows sothing.
"Very good, regarding your compensation, soone will deliver it to you later."
Pleased by Anvis’s response, Duke Carrot nodded with satisfaction, his expression easing as if a burden was lifted from his heart.
"I do not need compensation for resources at the mont, father. Is there any free ti in your schedule on the twenty-third of Ice Sealing Month?"
However, Anvis gently shook his head, objecting to the compensation ntioned by the Duke.
"The twenty-third of Ice Sealing Month?"
The Duke pondered slightly, then shook his head slightly.
"I have no special arrangents, what do you have in mind, Anvis?"
"I would like to use your strength to help capture a special Magic Beast, whose strength is likely around the Seventh Rank."
Anvis smiled slightly and spread his hands.
Fiona had already obtained her Initial Summoning, and now it was his turn.
Luckily, a special Magic Beast he had his sights on would appear at a ti not long after the teor falls.
"A Magic Beast with strength around the Seventh Rank, the guard I’ve assigned you should be enough to capture it, right? Is there a need to explain in person?"
A hint of confusion flickered through his sapphire blue eyes as Duke Carrot asked sowhat puzzled.
"That Magic Beast possesses so rather special powers, I ask for your intervention just in case, to prevent it from escaping through special ans."
Anvis explained carefully.
"Since that’s the case, Anvis, I can make a move."
After thinking it over, the Duke nodded and agreed to Anvis’s request.
"Is there anything else?"
"Indeed there is one more thing, father. The results of the investigation on the ruins that fell in Magna Province half a month ago—how is it?"
Anvis nodded.
"And, I heard that due to the influx of Foreign Professionals caused by the fall of the ruins, the Empire has beco quite chaotic. I wonder how is the situation in Karlars Province currently?"
"You need not worry about that, Anvis, although the current situation is sowhat unstable, with our family’s power, we are more than equipped to et all challenges!"
The Duke Carrot spoke with utmost confidence regarding Anvis’s questions.
"Regarding the ruins, we are also finding ways to break into them, but given the high level of danger, progress is slow. It might take years to fully decipher them."
"Since that’s the case, father, have you considered those foreigners? I think they would be highly suitable for sending..."
After thinking it over, Anvis switched to a more tactful expression.
"...to be in charge of exploring the ruins."
In his previous life, due to the high danger of the ruins, the major powers initially decided to collaborate to unravel them. However, because no one dared to enter and explore, there was a severe lack of internal information, and the progress of unraveling was very slow.
Furthermore, all kinds of remotely-controlled demon statues and similar entities, once they entered a certain depth of the ruins, would imdiately lose connection. They could not be controlled, nor could they transmit any information.
After about a month, the major powers finally found the most suitable explorers—players.
With their ability to resurrect infinitely, by equipping them with high-level chanical battle armor, they could obtain elite investigators who were not afraid of dying.
For the players, that city was equivalent to an instance of the highest level of danger. Even if they failed to clear it, there were still very generous ga rewards.
There were always so fearless players who, driven by the high reward, would take the risk.
"You an, let those foreigners collect the internal intelligence of the ruins?"
The Duke glanced at Anvis, his expression not surprised.
"Indeed, this idea has been proposed before, and we are currently testing its feasibility. What do you think about it?"
Anvis smiled.
"As you know, father, I have established a foreigner power. If possible, I would like to assign them this task."
......
After ending the communication with Duke Carrot, Anvis closed the crystal ball.
About arranging for players to explore the ruins, the Duke ultimately didn’t give him a definitive answer, only saying that he needed to think about it.
However, Anvis believed it was only a matter of ti.
And concerning the Duke’s request for him to temporarily stay by Fiona’s side, to block any possible pursuit from the Ninth Prince towards Fiona.
In Anvis’s view, things could actually be handled even more elegantly.
Concerning the Ninth Prince, whom he had not yet t in this life, he had quite a bit of knowledge.
Lanno Luo Augustine, under his deceptive frail appearance, possessed genius-like strategy and vision, uncharacteristic of his age.
His personality was extrely decisive. Once a decision was made, he would spare no cost to achieve his goal.
Moreover, Prince Lanno was one of the rare reformists among the many princes. Steadfastly supporting the developnt of magic-guided chanicals, he was willing to bear any cost, even if it seed to bring no benefits to him.
In his previous life, when the Empire finally fell into complete chaos, this prince demonstrated surprising military strength and even gained the support of a Ninth Rank powerhouse.
Along with the First Prince and the Fourth Princess, he was called one of the three strongest princes.
After carefully recalling his style, Anvis decided to take initiative and et the Ninth Prince.
However, he chose not to deliver a formal invitation letter but instead conveyed a verbal ssage, hoping to et with him.
Three days later, in a second-level residence of an ordinary-looking academy, Anvis t this not-yet-famous Ninth Prince.
When Anvis entered the room, the prince was standing in the living room of the residence, under an oil painting depicting a battle between a giant dragon and spellcasters, with his back to the main entrance, seemingly admiring the painting.
Hearing Anvis’s entrance, he turned around, his face carrying a perfectly polite smile, and he greeted Anvis elegantly.
Prince Lanno had a surprisingly handso appearance, with unique eyes blending blue and purple, and dark purple, softly flowing hair that reached to his ears.
Even Anvis had to admit, he was almost as handso as he was himself.
