150: Chapter 150 Cross-Race Compatibility 150: Chapter 150 Cross-Race Compatibility Ogman Wilkin has been feeling quite downcast lately.

Born in the Saint ssia Empire, as an enthusiastic ancient biological researcher, his na had been placed on the Church Court’s list of sins for redemption.

Not unto death, but he was to be imprisoned within the Church’s Confession Room to repent for fifty years.

Ogman swore that he initially only wanted to extend his own life, and that was why he started the research on those long-lived species from the Ancient Era.

Subsequently, due to the scarcity of perfectly preserved ancient biological fossils still containing active bloodlines and fragnts of tissue,

he had no choice but to attempt to transplant those fragnts of life contained in the ancient remains into the bloodlines of experintal creatures.

Trying to artificially cultivate in large numbers the experintal subjects that possess so traits of ancient organisms.

Because his research required a large number of subjects, it attracted the attention of the Holy Church.

Once they understood the specifics of his experints, a team of Judgent Knights paid him a direct visit.

Planning to occupy so of his ti to preach to him about the glory and warmth of the Divine.

Thus, he released his beloved little creatures to temporarily entertain the guests.

He himself, with the aid of a one-ti use Mysterious Object’s strength, deceived the Church’s Barrier lockdown.

And escaped from the underground of his holand where he had lived for over a century, coming to reside in Violet City, a remote town in the Yiter Federation.

Whilst continuing his current ancient biological research project.

—How to break the species barrier between ancient organisms and modern ones.

For him, Violet City was a good place.

Being close to the ruins of the city, there are often so special relic item auctions held here.

Among them included many well-preserved ancient biological fossils excavated from ancient Rock strata.

Previously, Ogman participated in a fossil auction dedicated to ancient organisms, as usual.

However, unlike before, this fossil auction featured a special finale item for bidding.

It was a huge chunk of Chalk Rock, also known as the ‘Ancient Ti Capsule’ fossil.

Chalk Rock is ford by the secretion of a special organism, the ‘Chalk Worm.’

This special Dark Age giant soft-bodied organism would secrete a certain type of Mucus to envelop its prey if it caught too much at once.

When the Mucus dries, it forms a firm pale Rock-like substance, sealing the inner creatures for a long preservation effect.

However, these giant Chalk Worms had rather poor mory,

Sotis after hiding their food, they would forget its existence.

Thus, the food forgotten by the Chalk Worms has beco Chalk Rock fossils left to modern tis.

Inside these special fossils, ancient organisms tend to be extrely well-preserved, allowing for extraction of a large amount of bloodlines and still living tissues.

Ogman, excited by the hunt, spent a great deal of money to win this rare giant fossil at the auction.

—Even though he had left in a bit of a rush previously, as a qualified ancient biological researcher, he had long been prepared to be listed by the Church Court and had transferred much of his wealth to the Yiter Federation.

The fossil did not disappoint his expectations; after dissolved in a specially formulated liquid similar in properties to the Chalk Worm’s stomach liquid, Bergman obtained an extrely special ancient organism.

The creature has a hard and wrinkled dark green thick epidermis, covered with many sharp and bizarre protrusions, and a thick greyish-white stone shell at the bottom.

At the other end, there is a bunch of black-green tentacles gathered together, from which extends horizontally black fine feather-like structures, the whole resembling a sea lily gathered up.

From the corpse of this exotic creature, Ogman extracted an unusual demonized pheromone.

Curious about the effects of this pheromone, he acquired several test subjects to experint with on them.

After the tests, Ogman found that the topic he was currently studying was perfectly solved by this pheromone.

The Luo Luo Beasts, which had received the pheromone injection and had so ancient creature bloodlines transplanted into them by him previously, brought forth a pile of strange creatures with parts of Luo Luo Beast bodies and dinosaur-like heads.

The grey-feathered crows that were injected with the pheromone, after transplantation with life fragnts of another ancient creature, hatched eggs that yielded a batch of small grey-feathered crows with semi-plant tentacles blossoming on their backs.

Ogman imdiately developed a keen interest in this pheromone,

He began to use high-precision magic devices to carefully analyze the composition and structure of this pheromone.

And started to attempt artificial synthesis of this pheromone using a variety of materials and specific magic structure proportions.

But as his experint reached a crucial step, a key experintal material, Black Domain Orchid Pollen, was exhausted at this critical mont.

This material was quite obscure, yet its magic structure was extrely similar to a part of that ancient pheromone.

Ogman hadn’t anticipated that the consumption rate of the pollen would be so fast.

Caught off guard, he lost a large amount of the original solution that had only just reached the midpoint of the reaction process.

And for the remaining original solutions, due to the lack of the special magical particle structure of the pollen, the once slowly progressing chain magic reaction also gradually began to calm down.

As a result, he had to temporarily halt the experint, to purchase that pollen at the local Alchemy Shop.

But due to the obscurity of this material, he nearly searched all the Alchemy Shops in Violet City and still could not acquire enough of the pollen.

The owner of the Alchemy Shop inford him that only after waiting for one more month until the next shipnt arrives, would they be able to provide enough for his experints.

.….….

Disgruntled, leaving the last Alchemy Shop, Ogman couldn’t help but angrily lift his wand, whipping it against a roadside bush, knocking its already sparse leaves fluttering down.

Without enough Black Domain Orchid Pollen, to say nothing of a month, even half a month, the remaining reaction solution would be completely ruined.

After venting his anger on the innocent bush, Ogman walked back with a heavy heart.

At the sa ti, he had already started to consider which original solutions to abandon, and which to preserve at all costs.

But as he was about to return to his residence, Ogman suddenly had a premonition.

There was a visitor at ho—

Hastening his steps, and when he arrived at the road in front of his own door, Ogman saw from afar,

Two figures wrapped in thick Traveler’s Cloaks and carrying bulging backpacks, standing in front of the door of his dwelling.

Seeing these two people, a sense of puzzlent and caution imdiately arose in Ogman’s mind.

By the door, the rowan berry was actually a Magic Doorbell he had set.

He had only told a few close friends, who were fellow ancient creature researchers, about it.

But among them, these two were not included.
