A thin blue luminicent line of condensed energy exploded out of Stark's sword with a terrifying force, charging right at the mimic.
It's dark eyes glowed blue, reflecting the light just as it was monts away from splitting it in half.
But before the attack coukd land, the mimic put all its strength into survival—it flaped its wings with as much force as it could and jumped to the side.
Swish!
Whispering ash tore right through its left wing, before cleaving into the forest behind it. The mimic hand managed to survive, but just barely.
Blood was rushing out of the large wound as it screeched in pain, locking its angry eyes on Stark as spittle dripped down its mouth.
Stark was not slowing down, he had already lifted his sword, readying himself for a follow up attack.
At the sa ti, Shifu was charging forward, hoping to make use of the opportunity he had created.
As the ghostly blue light began to once again form on Stark's blade, the mimic stared at him, its eyes wide in shock and fear.
And then it snarled… and changed form.
Before Stark's very eyes the feathers lted away, giving way to a black stone like body, its deadly beak disappeared and what stood in its place was a robust helt.
Its injured wing gave way to an arm, the injury completely vanishing—the creature trading its overall size for healing.
And then in its hand, a weapon took form… a gigantic mace larger than Stark.
"Shit." Of all beasts it could have morphed to, it had chosen the worse of the worse.
A monster with a defense so tough that adventurers ended up discarding its real na, only to give it another one.
Kabaka, the iron fortress.
A bright purple glow appeared in the thick suit of armour, as Kabaka lifted its terrible nace, simring malice.
Shifu had appeared next to the beast, no fear of its hardened eyes as it swung its swords at its armoured foot.
Clang!
His axe ricocheted off, sparking on contact but doing absolutely no damage whatsoever. Kabaka stared down at the little spirit the one one would stare at a piece of shit on his boots.
…While Shifu glared at him from the floor.
Kabaka lifted its spiked mace, its body groaning from the weight and then he brought it down.
Fwoooosh!
Before it could bring down the mace, Stark sucked in a deep breath and launched Whispering ash with as much strength as he could muster.
Blue light shimred. The air was distorted, the forest lighting up as it flew right into the monstrosity, slamming into its thick armour.
As dust scattered all around them, blocking his view of the beast, Stark took heavy breaths, trying to piece through the dust.
"Chubby…" he muttered. "It looks like it's ti for that buff…"
Just as the little guy was about to turn golden, a pair of purple orbs blasted through the smoke.
"?!"
He jumped back, already getting ready to use his next move, then the monster's mace collided with his belly, folding him like a plank.
His vision beca darker and he coughed up blood, as his entire body throbbed with pain.
Kabaka appeared out of the haze a second later, his robust body completely unhard by his earlier attack.
In its left hand was Shifu who was struggling, multiple wounds lining his body.
Stark imdiately summoned him back into his soul and the monster stared at his hands and back to him.
It let out an annoyed grunt just before it punched him right in the gut sending him flying.
His body crashed through low hanging branches, tearing through a few small trees before crashing onto the floor.
Letting out a shaky breath and with arms trembling from pain, Stark tried to summon his internal energy, preparing himself for
'clap and flash.'
But just as he began to feel its flow, Kabaka burst out from behind the trees, hurtling towards him like lightning.
Thankfully, Chubby was speeding towards Stark as well.
Kabaka raised his mace and brought it down right at his skull, with a force capable of shattering mountains.
But at the sa ti, Shifu blazed, transforming from blue to gold.
Just before the mace could shatter his head, Stark's body sparked with life. His heart was racing, his internal energy beca more potent and his exhaustion blurred to the back of his mind.
He side stepped the attack, the mace slamming into the ground then jumpers over it, delivering two heavy kicks to the monster face, knocking him back.
Kabaka swung a gigantic arm at his body, but Stark grabbed on to it. He swung atop the arm and raced atop it, right at its face.
Bam!
With his fists coated with energy, Stark's fist exploded against its face with a thunderous boom.
This ti Kabaka stumbled back a step, one knee falling to the floor. Then it looked up, locking its blazing eyes on Stark as he landed softly on the grass.
He cracked his neck and raised his fists, taking his stance as his eyes road over Kabaka's body.
'There was no way my sword would cut through armour as thick as that.'
He had no choice but to puml it to submission.
But although Chubby's buff was keeping him going and the little guy was healing him frantically, it was only a matter of ti before he reched the healing threshold.
Or chubby ran out of mana… he didn't have an infinite supply after all.
Kabaka's eyes seed to brighten with rage as he began rising to his feet, his mace lying dangerously in his right hand.
But Stark was busy stalking him with blood in his vision, damp hair hanging over his eyes, and his breaths shaky and hoarse.
Then he lunged.
At the sa ti, Kabaka swung his mace, the spiked ball rushing towards him like a battering ram.
Stark slid underneath the attack, his elbows glowing blue with energy. And then he slamd it into the shaft of the weapon, knocking it back.
In the blink of an eye he was beside Kabaka.
"Simple flow technique, warrior's fist!"
