Dr. Xue seized the mont when Smith was using his glucose ter to test his blood sugar and walked up to Bai Xiao to ask, “Dr. Bai, are you confident?” Since this was about two votes, they had to take it seriously.
Bai Xiao grinned mischievously and said, “Dr. Xue! If I’m not confident about curing it, I’m definitely not worried about failing to cure it either!”
“You! Stop ssing around. This is such a serious matter, and you still have the nerve to joke about it.” Dr. Xue felt both love and exasperation for Bai Xiao.

Mike personally stepped forward to test the blood sugar level. “Currently, the blood sugar level is 11.5. Smith ate breakfast on the plane this morning. Dr. Bai, how many acupuncture sessions do you think it’ll take to see results?” Mike was a kind person and wouldn’t corner others completely.
He was giving Bai Xiao so leeway. Ten sessions or eight sessions—by the ti this evaluation process ended, they wouldn’t need to treat the issue too seriously. He still wasn’t very confident in acupuncture.
Liu Hongmin imdiately smiled and chid in, “Dr. Bai, acupuncture works slowly—it’ll probably take ten sessions or eight, right?” If soone offers you a way out, you’d be foolish not to take it.
Vice Principal Zhao, sensing the subtext, quickly added, “Traditional Chinese dicine works gradually and requires more ti. It should take a while.”
Smith laughed unrestrainedly. “Haha, you guys are really funny. Didn’t Dr. Bai just now say otherwise? Didn’t she claim it’d work imdiately with one needle? Now you’re backtracking—doesn’t that seem a bit despicable?”
“I guarantee results with one needle!” Bai Xiao coolly replied. If she couldn’t treat Smith’s diabetes, she’d consider her life utterly wasted.
