Chapter 884: Chapter 884: The Plan
An Zhixiang and Ding Min left the cinema.
He knew that Ding Min had been in a bad mood lately; how could he be unaware of the incident at the Ding Family? So, he did his best to accompany Ding Min more, trying to cheer her up.
Unfortunately, no matter what he did, her attitude towards him seed always so indifferent.
How helpless he felt.
Sotis, An Zhixiang also thought of himself as good-for-nothing, seemingly powerless when facing the person he liked.
“Xiaomin, I have sothing to tell you.”
This was sothing he had resolved to do; in this family, he was inferior to his brothers in every aspect. He too hoped to achieve sothing like a man and be recognized by his father and family.
Right now, to put it bluntly, his job was just to bum around in the military.
He also wished to experience the trials of battle like a man and grow into a true soldier.
Ding Min didn’t really care about An Zhixiang; she wasn’t a fool—she could see the affection he had for her.
But ever since she was young, her heart was occupied by An Zhiyuan alone, and this had beco an obsession. Even though he was now married, Ding Min still couldn’t let go.
“I’m going to be stationed at the border. The application I submitted three months ago has been approved. Unless sothing unexpected happens, we’ll leave within a week.”
Ding Min was taken aback.
What?
An Zhixiang was leaving too.
She couldn’t help but grip An Zhixiang’s arm tightly; although she didn’t love him, An Zhixiang was currently the only man who could provide her with security.
Compared to her aunt, An Zhixiang thought of her much more and more completely.
The comfortable and privileged life she was living right now, wasn’t it all because, besides Aunt Wei Shufen, it was An Zhixiang who had been taking care of her, responding to her every request and withdrawal?
To put it bluntly, without An Zhixiang, who else would treat her so well?
“Why do you want to go there? You work with a pen, what use will you be on the front lines? Are you tired of too, wanting to leave , to get away from ? Even if that’s the case, you don’t have to joke about your own life. I’ve heard them say that although the friction has essentially ceased, there are still occasional sniper shots.
If sothing happens to you, how can you answer to my aunt, to your father?”
Ding Min spoke with righteous indignation.
An Zhixiang laughed and patted Ding Min, “Are you a bit reluctant to part with , worried about my safety?” Suddenly feeling pleased within, being worried about by soone is a form of happiness.
Ding Min sneered, “Why would I worry about your safety? Who are you to , we are just friends.”
An Zhixiang felt dejected; although he was accustod to Ding Min’s cold and harsh words, his heart still ached each ti.
“Since we’re just friends, then you needn’t worry about . My life is my own business. Of course, I will take it into consideration. I’m not joking with my life; I am going to do what a man ought to do.” An Zhixiang had long decided; only through hardships could he grow, and even progress from his current position. He was a man, and he longed for success.
Ding Min’s eyes widened; An Zhixiang had never treated her this way before, always subservient towards her—this was the first ti he was so cold, could it be that An Zhixiang also disdained her? She suddenly beca utterly panicked.
She didn’t like An Zhixiang, but without him, she would lose her source of a stable life, and she couldn’t bear that thought.
