Bai Xiao saw Bai Na off and drove to Ruiyin herself; it was ti for work.
Her internship hadn’t ended yet, due to the pandemic, she still had several months left to complete.
As soon as she arrived at Ruiyin Hospital, she headed straight to the ergency departnt, since her leave was over, she had to return to her original departnt anyway.
As she entered, Director Xu bead.
"Doctor Bai, you are a hero of Ruiyin, co, everyone pause your work, let introduce our Doctor Bai Xiao, our Ruiyin’s pride, let’s give her a warm welco."
Everyone applauded.
However, Bai Xiao could still feel so people’s strange gazes; it seed her uncle’s matter was still fernting. No matter what, many people would have opinions, and the internal decision hadn’t even reached Modu yet, but she knew about it in advance! Yet, the people below were still unaware.
Quite a few people were probably waiting to see the joke.
"Hello everyone! I am Bai Xiao! I am an intern doctor at Ruiyin, please take care of in the future."
Manners were imperative, she was just an intern. Her unit wasn’t Ruiyin, here she’d never be a veteran.
"Doctor Bai! Welco."
The first to speak was He Xin, unexpectedly He Xin was still in the ergency departnt, obviously having returned to work there before her.
Then others chid in, whether sincerely or otherwise, everyone expressed their sentints.
Director Xu chuckled and said, "Didn’t expect you back in the departnt so soon. Go greet the Dean, and also your teacher and senior. You need to let the leadership know you’re back."
Bai Xiao nodded, it seed there were indeed instructions from above; otherwise, Director Xu wouldn’t look so troubled.
There was probably so administrative action regarding her.
Clearly, it’s going to be tough for her at Ruiyin.
With hands in pockets, she walked out, with He Xin closely following.
"Don’t take what the Dean says too seriously. You’re an intern, Ruiyin doesn’t have the right to stop your work. You’re an intern doctor, doing your main job well is most important, rember, you’re a doctor."
He Xin mumbled behind her, surprising Bai Xiao. This He Xin was indeed different, at least after conflicts, she could still say such words, truly remarkable.
"Thank you! I will. I’ve always rembered I’m a doctor."
He Xin blushed, angrily glaring, "Who wants your thanks, I’m just speaking the truth. Quick, hurry back, we’re waiting for you to work. The ergency departnt is so hectic, every day feels like a battle; don’t think of slacking."
This girl was still the sa! Not good at expressing kindness, typically harsh outside but soft inside.
Bai Xiao suddenly turned and hugged He Xin tightly, "Okay, I understand you’re concerned about . Thank you."
He Xin pushed Bai Xiao away, fiercely rubbing her arms in disdain, "Stay away from , who’s worried about you? Stop being vain, I just worry there’s no one to work."
Bai Xiao pointed at her, laughed heartily, and walked away.
He Xin turned around, her lips curling into a smile, humming a song cheerfully.
Back in the departnt, Director Xu teased, "Oh, Doctor He, you’re in a good mood! Even humming a song. What’s the good news? Tell us."
He Xin proudly said, "Director Xu, bed six’s patient needs a dicine change, I’m still busy."
She hurriedly slipped away.
Director Xu shook his head, "That girl, they really have a love-hate relationship. Clearly concerned for each other, yet putting on airs. It seems this rural trip was fruitful for them both."
The head nurse imdiately turned gossipy, "Director Xu, what do you think the Dean will do about Doctor Bai? It’s almost beco a big news in our Ruiyin, everyone’s speculating. Director Yu got into such serious trouble, the hospital leadership is aware, even our Dean was taken for questioning.
Although nobody speaks it aloud, deep down everyone knows, Director Yu is unlikely to escape the law this ti. Bai Xiao is Director Yu’s niece, how can the Dean keep her?"
The hospital has been buzzing with discussions.
Bai Xiao hasn’t co, but almost did! After all, such gossip won’t stay fresh for long.
But once the person arrives, it imdiately triggers everyone’s curiosity, waiting to see what the Dean will do.
Everyone thinks! Their Dean is pragmatic, he won’t do anything that doesn’t benefit the hospital.
Bai Xiao is probably dood.
Although interns aren’t under their direct managent, it’s possible to end her internship early, this isn’t an issue. Any excuse would suffice to justify this.
Everyone is eagerly watching.
Bai Xiao headed upstairs towards the Dean’s office.
This day had to co eventually.
She ran into Zhang Huan.
"Senior!"
Zhang Huan obviously didn’t expect Bai Xiao to return to work at Ruiyin so soon, given Bai Xiao was one of the patients who survived against all odds.
"Bai Xiao, why are you back at work so soon? Couldn’t you rest more, it really makes speechless. Anyway, let’s go, follow to see our teacher; he’s been nagging to visit you at ho these past days."
Bai Xiao smiled, pulling Zhang Huan along, "Senior, Senior, I’m heading to the Dean’s office right now, I’ll visit our teacher after I leave the Dean’s room."
Putting her neck on the chopping block either way, she wanted to see how Dean Jin intended to deal with her.
Admittedly, she had so intention to watch the scenario unfold.
The warmth and coldness of human relationships, only during such events do they appear so fragile.
Like He Xin earlier, who would’ve thought this adversarial foe would stand out now to comfort her, even though she didn’t need it.
Zhang Huan frowned, indeed, this matter couldn’t be handled carelessly, she must et the Dean; however, he was slightly frustrated, wishing Bai Xiao would return a month later.
He’s now the Vice Dean, and next month he will take over all the Dean’s responsibilities.
He will be Ruiyin Hospital’s acting Dean for the next year.
A year later, after the Dean retires, he will naturally beco the next Dean.
This was their customary practice here.
Ever since Bai Xiao and the others left earlier, after Hou Baopu’s disgraceful incident, there’s virtually no competition within the hospital; moreover, the higher-ups highly recognize his achievents, thus acknowledging his transition plan as the next Dean.
If Bai Xiao returned after he took over the Dean’s duties, with him backing his little junior sister, she wouldn’t suffer any loss. But she ca back this month, Dean Jin might deliberately make things difficult for Bai Xiao.
