"Where?" Qin Wu excitedly asked.

However, when she saw the man’s black face, she realised sothing was wrong and imdiately cald down.

"Is sothing wrong? Are they alive?" She asked.

"So are." Mo Chenxuan answered through gritted.

From uncle Zhang’s report, more than twenty children disappeared in a matter of weeks.

However, Mo Chenxuan only found eight.

"They are in the basent of that house." He said, pointing at a house.

The house was a small bungalow.

At a glance, it looked ordinary and indistinguishable from its neighbours.

However, Qin Wu knew that a house that could hide so many children was far from ordinary.

"Are they in danger? Shall we rescue them now?" She asked.

"They are in danger but it’s not imdiate. We need to make plans before we move."

Qin Wu frowned when she heard that.

If possible, she wanted to rescue the children right away.

However, she believed in Mo Chenxuan and unconditionally trusted his judgent.

"Don’t worry, they will be fine." The man said, rubbing Qin Wu’s hair.

"I know. What’s the plan?"

"Let’s find Lin Rongrong first."

"Rongrong?" Qin Wu clenched her hands.

Lin Rongrong was a level two healer.

Since Mo Chenxuan wanted to find her, it ant the children were hurt and in bad shape.

"Brother Chenxuan, do you know who did this?"

"Mmh." Mo Chenxuan nodded with a solemn expression.

"It’s Fang Tianlu."

"Fang Tianlu..." Qin Wu frowned when she heard this.

Fang Tianlu was Fang Shuangshuang’s father.

Although he wasn’t talented, he fathered a good daughter which cented his place as the Fang family’s heir.

In Qin Wu’s previous life, Fang Tianlu beca the Fang family’s patriarch and stood out as one of the top leaders in the base.

As far as she knew, the man had never been involved in any scandals concerning children.

’It’s true what they say. You can know a person’s face but not their heart.’ Qin Wu thought and unconsciously sighed.

"Wait..., brother Chenxuan, how do you know about Fang Tianlu? Is he there right now?"

"He is not there." Mo Chenxuan shook his head and quickly continued.

"There are no guards outside the house but there are fourteen inside. I happen to know most of them."

"From your previous life?"

"Mmh." Mo Chenxuan nodded.

After escaping from Fang Shuangshuang’s laboratory in his previous life, Mo Chenxuan hid his identity and secretly investigated the Fang family.

It was from this investigation that he knew which forces belonged to which mbers of the Fang family.

"Brother Chenxuan, we can’t let him get away with this." Qin Wu angrily said.

"He won’t." Mo Chenxuan said, rubbing Qin Wu’s hair.

Fifteen minutes later, the two arrived in front of villa number sixteen.

However, before they could knock on the door, Xu Fei appeared behind them.

"Brother Mo, sister Qin, why are you here?" He asked in a surprised voice.

"We need Rongrong’s help." Qin Wu said but didn’t explain.

Nevertheless, Xu Fei understood and imdiately nodded.

"Rongrong is resting in the house." He said; walked to the front, and opened the door.

However, before the three could enter the house, a loud shout echoed in the surroundings.

"You selfish bitch! How dare you plot against my Xu family." The voice accused.

"Mother, what are you talking about?" A second voice asked.

Hearing the voice, Xu Fei, Qin Wu, and Mo Chenxuan looked at each other and tacitly stopped walking.

"You have been married to my son for three years but haven’t given birth to a single grandchild. What are you plotting? Do you plan to cut the bloodline of my Xu family?"

Silence echoed when those words fell.

Lin Rongrong didn’t know what to say.

It was true that she and Xu Fei had been married for three years.

However, they were only married in na and had never consummated their marriage.

Thinking this, Lin Rongrong sighed and looked at her mother-in-law with a solemn expression.

"Mother, Xu Fei and I were both busy with our careers. It was not the right ti." She said in a low voice.

However, madam Xu snorted and glared at her daughter in law.

"Career? What nonsense career is more important than continuing the bloodline of my Xu family? As the wife of a wealthy family, your priority should be to give birth and continue the bloodline of the Xu family."

"Mother..." Lin Rongrong called but forcibly suppressed her anger.

She didn’t want to argue with Xu Fei’s mother.

However, she didn’t want to tolerate being treated like a breeder instead of a human being.

"Mother, neither Xu Fei nor I were ready for children. You can’t accuse of cutting the Xu family’s bloodline."

"Lin Rongrong, don’t bla for saying this but what’s your use?" Madam Xu started and quickly continued.

"You have not only not given us a descendant but have also awakened a useless power. How can you help my Xu family? What right do you have to occupy my son?"

Xu Fei clenched his hands when he heard this and a trace of anger flashed in his eyes.

He knew his Xu family looked down on Lin Rongrong since the apocalypse began.

However, he didn’t know the relationship had deteriorated to this extent.

At this mont, an unknown anger filled his heart and he rushed to the sitting room.

"Mother, Rongrong is my wife. How can you treat her this way?" He questioned, pulling Lin Rongrong to stand behind him.

"Xu Fei..." Lin Rongrong muttered but Xu Fei didn’t let her speak.

"Don’t worry, I won’t let anyone bully you." The man promised and Lin Rongrong couldn’t help but tear up.

She had been having a hard ti in the Xu family.

However, the bullying only happened when Xu Fei was away and she didn’t know how to explain it to him.

Now that she wasn’t standing alone, she suddenly felt wronged and her heart was filled with grievances.

"Son..., why are you back?" Madam Xu asked with a guilty expression.
