"There are at least thirty small bases within twenty kilotres of our base." She continued.

At the sa ti, she signalled, and an assistant handed out a map to the king, the ministers, the lords, and their deputies.

After receiving the map, Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu bent down to read.

The map showed the location of the small bases relative to the city B base. Additionally, so of the bases were numbered, with a date written beside each number.

"Aide Xie, what do the numbers and dates an?" Shentu Jue asked.

Hearing this, Xie Ya sighed with a solemn expression.

"The numbered bases have all been destroyed, and the date is the ti of their destruction." She explained, and several people gasped in horror.

"It’s only been seven days since sumr started. How can eighteen bases have already been destroyed?" Zhao Lijuan asked in a confused voice.

Even Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu were taken aback.

After all, the small bases were far apart, and seven days were too short a ti for more than fifteen to have already been destroyed.

"Did sothing happen?" Chu Wan’er asked, and Xie Ya nodded before speaking.

"If you look at your maps, you will notice that most of the destroyed bases are in the south and southeast." She started, and everyone lowered their head to look at their map.

After confirming, several people nodded and waited for an explanation.

"As you know, satellite phones are still usable within a short distance. Using them, we have confird that there is a particularly powerful lightning ability zombie in the southeast direction."

"From what we know, the zombie easily defeated a combined effort of more than a dozen level two ability users. As a result, it has continued to gain traction and is now leading a horde of close to one hundred thousand zombies and heading towards our base."

Everyone was shocked when they heard this.

"It can defeat a dozen ability users without suffering injuries? Is it a level three zombie?" Lu ng asked in a worried voice.

"It’s possible, but maybe not." Chu Wan’er said and turned to Mo Chenxuan.

"Brother Mo, what do you think?" She asked, causing the others to look at Mo Chenxuan.

After all, he and Qin Wu were the most powerful ability users in the base and could more accurately estimate the zombie’s strength.

"It’s likely a level four zombie." Mo Chenxuan stated and began explaining.

"Level three zombies are powerful, but they can’t gather a horde of one hundred thousand. Only level four and higher zombies have that ability." He said.

"Chenxuan is right. The leader is likely a level four lightning ability zombie." Qin Wu said and continued after glancing at her map.

"Based on its current speed, the horde will be here in half a month. We need to start preparing." She said.

"The most urgent matter is the remaining four bases in the southeast direction." Chu Jianfeng said.

"We should abandon the small bases and focus on defence." Wei Canghao suggested.

"Our country’s population is down to a few million survivors. We can’t afford to lose more people." Xuanyuan Ran argued.

"Xuanyuan Ran, you are too idealistic." Wei Cangahao said and quickly continued.

"Even if we send teams right away, they won’t make it in ti, and one or two bases will inevitably be lost. Most importantly, the small bases have weak defences and sending teams will not change the tide. It’s best to abandon those bases and fortify our defences."

"Sending teams is not the only option." Leng Han said, and when he had everyone’s attention, he continued.

"We can’t send teams, but we definitely can’t stand by and let those small bases be annihilated. The best choice is to let the survivors migrate to our main base." He said.

"Leng Han is right." Qin Wu started and quickly continued.

"Ignoring the small bases will only add to the zombie horde. Our best choice is to let the survivors co to us. This will not only preserve humanity’s population but also increase our fighting power." She said, but several others didn’t agree.

"There will be no one to stall the zombies if the survivors in the small bases co here. The zombies will arrive in half the predicted ti." Fang Chongtian said, and Wei Canghao nodded in agreent.

"Are you suggesting we sacrifice the small bases in exchange for more ti?" Chu Jianfeng asked in an incredulous voice.

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. It’s logical to sacrifice the small bases." Fang Shuangshuang said, and the room fell silent.

A minute later, Mo Chenxuan sighed and began talking.

"Ignoring the bases will buy us more ti, but it will also earn us more enemies." He said and quickly continued.

"Each of the small bases has between two and twenty thousand survivors. If we don’t let them co to the main base, these survivors will beco zombies and join the horde in attacking the base. I think buying ti is not worth the additional opponents."

Hearing this, several people nodded, and Chu Wan’er also voiced her opinion.

"Winter was difficult, especially for survivors in the small bases. We can assu that those who survived the winter are elites and potential assets for the base. It’s best to let them join us than to let them beco zombies." She said.

"You say potential assets and I say burdens." Xuanyuan Yi said and continued when he had everyone’s attention.

"Those who rush here won’t bring many supplies due to the nature of the situation. We will have to subsidise them and we may not get a return on our investnt." He said.

This argunt lasted another thirty minutes.

In the end, the matter was left to Xuanyuan Qi, and fortunately, the man sided with the majority and allowed the small bases’ survivors to co to the main.

After deciding, he turned to Xie Ya.

"Send word and let them rush here at their fastest speed." He said, and Xie Ya nodded with a satisfied expression.

At this ti, Xie Daquan brought another matter to the forefront.

"A zombie horde is approaching, and several territories don’t have enough crystal and thermal weapons." He said and looked at Xuanyuan Qi with a aningful expression.

Seeing the look, Xuanyuan Qi nodded and turned to his ministers.

"How many weapons can be released for trade?" He asked.

"The research institute worked hard during the winter and managed to manufacture more crystal weapons. Each territory has a quota of five hundred crystal guns and fifty crystal sniper rifles." Fang Chongtian said.

"As for thermal weapons, the army can spare five thousand guns, including rifles and machine guns, one million bullets, and one thousand grenades for each territory." Chu Jianfeng said.

Xuanyan Qi nodded when he heard this.

"The terms of the trades will depend on your own negotiations." He said and turned to Mo Chenxuan.

"Lord Mo, will you have enough purified crystal cores to support the coming siege?" He asked, and Mo Chenxuan nodded before speaking.

"We have opened a purified crystal cores shop in District Eight. Everyone can send people to purchase what you need or commission a purification." He said.

Hearing this, the gathered sighed in relief and began planning their next cause of auction.

"The base army will send people to inspect the territory defences." Xuanyuan Qi stated, and many nodded in agreent.

After all, this was the first ti that the base was facing a siege and also the first ti that territories were defending themselves.

Not only Xuanyuan Qi, but also Mo Chenxuan and several others felt it was necessary for the base army to inspect the territory defences. This way, none of the territories would be able to cut corners or take unnecessary risks.

After the eting, Qin Wu invited everyone to hers and Mo Chenxuan’s wedding.

The wedding was scheduled on the ninth, which was only a day away.

Although the timing was not ideal, she did not want to change because she and Mo Chenxuan had been waiting a long ti for the appropriate ti.

Most importantly, delaying the wedding would not result in better timing since the apocalypse would only beco harsher as the days passed.

After receiving a few congratulations, the couple left the room and prepared to go ho.

However, before they walked far, a familiar voice stopped them.

Turning around, they saw Wu Fan and Zhao Lijuan, the leaders of the Human Alliance.

"Lord Wu, deputy lord Zhao, can we help you with sothing?" Qin Wu asked in a curious voice.

After all, they and the Human Alliance didn’t have much intersection.

"Lord Mo, deputy lord Qin, do you have ti to talk? We have sothing to discuss." Zhao Lijuan said.

Hearing this, Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu exchanged a glance and nodded.

"Our villa is nearby. Let’s go there." Qin Wu said, and the two imdiately agreed.

Soon after, they arrived at the villa and sat in the sitting room.
