The top-floor office was about fifty square tres.
It had a floor-to-ceiling window on one side, a desk and chair, a display cabinet, a long sofa, and a low table.
The display cabinet was filled with trophies, dals, and certificates.
At a glance, one could see that the office’s owner was proud of the displayed achievents and took great care of the items.
After a casual look, Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu began searching.
The desk, display cabinet, ..., finally, they discovered a safe behind a frad group photo.
"It’s locked." Qin Wu said after trying the handle.
This was expected.
However, the two weren’t discovered.
"I will try a space blade." Qin Wu suggested and did so.
A mont later, the safe door fell off and revealed the inside.
The safe was filled with folders, cash, jewellery, championship souvenirs, and a photo album.
Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu were mostly interested in the folders.
However, when reaching for a folder, Qin Wu accidentally knocked over the photo album.
On instinct, she tried to catch it before it fell, but gasped in surprise, allowing the album to fall to the ground.
"This..." She muttered, swallowed, and reached for the album.
The album was almost ten centitres thick and each page had a photo.
However, the photos appeared to be candid photos, taken from a hidden cara.
In one photo was a famous female star having a devil’s three-way with two baseball players.
On another, there were two male boxing champions, ’wrestling’ off the ring.
Yet another was a married politician going at it with a cheerleader...
"They are all blackmail photos." Qin Wu said in a surprised voice.
If any of these photos had co out before the apocalypse, they would have been enough to end careers and marriages.
However, they were mostly useless in the apocalypse.
Still, Qin Wu collected the album, not for the sake of blackmailing soone but for the sake of watching people’s jokes.
In the sa breath, she collected the jewellery, cash, and souvenirs, only leaving the folders in the safe.
Seeing this, Mo Chenxuan picked up the first folder.
Unfortunately, the folder only contained the ownership docunts of a baseball team.
"Do you think we will ever experience the pre-apocalypse life in our lifeti?" Qin Wu asked in a depressed voice.
Seeing the docunts, she suddenly missed going to football gas and cheering for her favourite team.
She missed pouring beer into a water bottle so that she could sneak it into a stadium. And missed the euphoria of standing in the stands and, for a mont, bonding with complete strangers over a team that they both loved.
All these things seed like a lifeti ago, and Qin Wu couldn’t help but mourn their loss.
Mo Chenxuan wanted to reassure Qin Wu.
However, the apocalypse was too unpredictable.
He lived thirty years in the apocalypse in his previous life.
During that ti, he watched the depravity and fall of the human race.
Most importantly, he witnessed the evolution of all beings.
Even if humanity sohow eradicated the zombies and dealt with the insect threats, he didn’t think the world could return to the pre-apocalypse ti.
After all, everyone was fundantally different.
Instead of pursuing pleasure in sports, art, and other pastis, people would likely be more focused on increasing their strength and lifespan.
That said, he and Qin Wu didn’t need to rely on others to make things happen for them.
When the ti was right and if the circumstances allowed, they would bring back so of the pre-apocalypse past tis that they used to enjoy.
Thinking of this, he rubbed Qin Wu’s hair with a doting expression.
"We may not be able to experience the exact sa life, but we will definitely enjoy a version of it." He said.
After saying that, he put the folder aside and reached for the next.
However, the second, third, and fourth were related to planned activities, stadium improvents, and such.
They hit the jackpot on the fifth folder.
"It’s the blueprints." Qin Wu exclaid with a happy expression.
"Mmh." Mo Chenxuan nodded, also feeling happy.
Unfortunately, neither was an architect and could only look at the blueprints with a layman’s understanding.
Realising this, Mo Chenxuan closed the folder and handed it to Qin Wu.
"There is a structural engineer in our expert team. He should be able to understand the blueprints." He said.
After that, the two didn’t imdiately leave the building.
Instead, they went from floor to floor, collecting everything that could be collected.
Although stationery and office furniture seed useless given the circumstances, the two were always looking into the future.
Just because the things were useless now, did not an they would always be so.
Most importantly, Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu had limitless space and could afford to store seemingly useless things.
After emptying the managent building, the two went to nearby buildings, including a large shopping mall and collected everything.
Ti passed, and night ca.
As before, Mo Chenxuan used his spiritual ability barrier to isolate them, and they quietly sneaked back to the camp.
The following day dawned as usual.
After breakfast, the two found the structural engineer and asked him to study the blueprints.
"Our aim is to bomb the zombies without destroying the stadium." Qin Wu reminded with a solemn expression.
"I understand." The man said in an equally solemn voice.
He was not an ability user and wasn’t very useful when killing zombies.
However, he was confident in his skill and didn’t want to let the bosses down.
"Find us after you make a plan." Mo Chenxuan said, and the man nodded.
While waiting for the bombing plan, Mo Chenxuan, Qin Wu, and the others continued to clean up the surrounding areas.
They killed the frozen zombies and destroyed other threats, including mutated plants, ice zombies, and insects.
One day later, the top leaders sat together and listened to the bombing plan.
"The stadium will be fine if we deliver explosives to these nine hundred and six areas. However, opening the roof will be a problem." The man said and pointed at sothing on the blueprint.
