Chapter 1041: Chapter 1041: The Quintessential Human Paradise

“This… what is going on here?” The County Magistrate could barely get his words out.

Uncle Master, standing off to the side, swallowed hard and stamred, “I heard, I heard… the Fire-Swallowing Tribe always dances wildly to celebrate before eating.”

“They’re dancing at us—does that an…” The steward was visibly frightened.

“They’re treating us as food??” The Useless Son blurted in terror.

All thirty-so Strong Guys simultaneously swallowed their saliva in one big gulp.

There were about a thousand Wild People here, and they could easily toss all thirty-so of them into a pot and still not have enough to fill their teeth’s gaps. Judging by their robust appearance and the way they had just leapt expertly from the trees onto the Horse Carriage, holding knives to their own throats to take control of the situation, it was clear these were no ordinary beings.

Facing them felt no different than facing an army of ten thousand.

The entire group couldn’t help but shiver in fear.

But just as their terror reached its peak, sothing unexpected happened. After dancing for a while, the Wild People suddenly roared loudly, “Welco ho, Celestial God!”

“???” Everyone was stunned once again.

“Wait… wait, wasn’t it said the Fire-Swallowing Tribe doesn’t speak official language?” The Useless Son felt his worldview shatter as he processed what he’d just heard.

“This only proves these folks have evolved. I’m afraid they’ll be even harder to deal with now.”

Uncle Master started analyzing with his sharp brain, but before his words finished echoing, they heard loud thudding sounds as people’s foreheads smacked against the ground.

When they turned around, the Wild People who had just been dancing and shouting had abruptly dropped to their knees, bowing and kowtowing toward the Horse Carriage party.

“What… what’s happening?” Even Uncle Master began struggling to make sense of it.

“Perhaps… Miss Junjun scared them out of their wits?” Old Uncle Qiu offered his interpretation, confident he’d cracked the code.

“…” The crowd. Well… that kind of makes sense.

At this mont, the two individuals who had seemingly won through sheer force jumped down from the Horse Carriage, walking toward the Wild People while casually greeting soone who seed to be their leader.

The whole scene made it look even more plausible.

To be honest, Bai Junjun hadn’t expected the Fire-Swallowing Tribe to be so perceptive. This was the dead of night—technically, everyone should have been sleeping—but sohow their arrival roused the entire tribe.

After Bai Junjun complinted them on their vigilance, the Clan Leader grinned ear to ear, “We sleep on the floors—the floors pick up vibrations.”

“?” Bai Junjun blinked in confusion, “Haven’t you switched to beds by now?”

In an effort to reform the beliefs and habits of the Fire-Swallowing Tribe, the natural science lessons had taught them how to build houses and furniture. By this point, they had transitioned from lying on the ground to sleeping in actual beds.

Upon hearing Bai Junjun’s question, the Clan Leader quickly explained, “Oh, it’s not us. The sentinels who stand guard still sleep on the ground. We ca over when we heard the alarm signal.”

Li Wenli couldn’t resist laughing at this, “I didn’t expect your official language to improve so much after just a short ti away.”

First Bai Junjun had praised him, and now Li Wenli had complinted him too. With comndation from both Celestial Gods, the Clan Leader’s grin stretched so wide it practically reached his ears. His overwhelming joy was palpable even to the thirty-so spectators still in shock.

And so, under the wide-eyed amazent of the whole group, over a thousand tribe mbers escorted them back to the camp.

When they finally arrived at the peculiar-looking school building, the thirty-so individuals couldn’t help rubbing their eyes in disbelief. Li Wenli announced, “This is the school. Tomorrow, when everyone wakes up, we’ll give you a formal introduction.”

“Xiao Shan will definitely love it.” Bai Junjun added as she reached out to pat Xiao Shan’s head.
