“Such beautiful flowers,”
Lin Tianzhen couldn’t help but exclaim, reminding her how long it had been since she had seen fresh flowers after the apocalypse started.
“This flower is called Rhododendron ‘Lei’, also known as Bougainvillea. It’s very hardy, and autumn is just the right season for it to bloom. I used to have several varieties on my balcony,” boasted Lu Guanhai, a real aficionado when it ca to gardening.
“Dad, you’d better keep away from it,”
Su Jin pulled Lu Guanhai back from the edge of the flowerbed.
“Is it a mutated plant?”
Xu Shi couldn’t help asking as it looked perfectly normal, and this type of plant was common in many areas of the city.
“I don’t know, but it’s possible; I suggest everyone stay alert,”
Su Jin also couldn’t be sure, after all, you can’t tell just by looking at Mutated Plants.
The group didn’t head up the stairs to the second floor but prepared to search for the pharmacy on the first floor instead.

If soone had seen the scene in the lobby at this mont, they couldn’t help but feel their skin crawl. Black bloodstains covered the walls and floor, and unidentifiable human body parts were scattered everywhere. The approximately 300 Zombies Mao Qiqi ntioned stood quietly in the hall, motionless.
It wasn’t until a Zombie heard footsteps in the distance, or perhaps slled the blood and flesh they had long craved, that the Zombies in the entire hall started to boil with excitent. The group, still as still as dead water, suddenly ca to life, swarming in one direction.
The shutter door of the first-floor lobby was locked to the ground by soone unknown, and the door sared with dark blood banged loudly under the Zombies’ impacts from inside.
To get to the pharmacy on the first floor, they had to go through this lobby. Seeing everyone ready, Guan Hong imdiately used his tal Elent Ability to open the shutter door.
The door was barely opened less than a ter when Zombies began to crawl out from underneath, desperately. But before their bodies were completely out, they were neatly decapitated by a row of Wind Blades from Xue Wanyi.
As the door fully opened, all the Zombies in the hall surged forward. Lin Cheng activated his Earth Elent Ability, creating an earthen wall on the side in front of Lin Tianzhen and others. This allowed Lin Tianzhen and the rest to release their Special Abilities from behind the earthen wall, significantly increasing the safety margin.
Su Jin and Lu Hao had already charged into the midst of the Zombies. Vines sprouted around them, keeping nearby Zombies at bay, and those close to them fell in circles.
Lu Hao did not use his Tang Sword; simple Small Fireballs were enough to easily kill an Ordinary Zombie. Liang Jiuhui and the others were surprised by Lu Hao’s candle-like attacks. How could his Special Ability Fire burn a Zombie’s skull to ashes in just a few seconds?

During combat, Liang Jiuhui seed to be filled with thunder and lightning. Zombies barely touching him were repelled by the electric charge covering his body.
Moreover, a simple Thunder Ball from him would spread to the Zombies around upon contact, and it seed as if he controlled the paralyzed Zombies with a Thunder Line in his hand. A strong current flowed down the line, and those Zombies fell down, bodies charred black!
“Wow, so cool!”
Lin Xiuyuan, with an Ice Shield in one hand and Ice Spikes in the other, fought the Zombies while looking over at Liang Jiuhui. He truly was a man capable of being a Base Leader!
“Don’t touch , you guys, I want to try this too,” Su Xiangzhe said as he tried to cover his whole body with electricity. Bursts of electrical light spread from his arms to his body and legs. He looked entirely electrified.
“Old Su, Old Su, don’t forget to electrify your head too, safety first!” Nie Qing reminded from mid-air.
