Chapter 192: Chapter One Hundred Ninety-Two: Jungle Python

“`

Two thunder attacks slowed down the giant python’s movents, and Lin Xiuyuan waited for just the right mont to conjure a massive ice spike and shoot it into the mouth of the python!

With a pained howl, the python was impaled by the ice spike, piercing from its mouth straight through to its lower jaw!

anwhile, Lu Hao repeatedly struck with his Tang Sword combined with Special Ability Fire, focusing all his attacks on the seven-inch area of the python, and finally, the first scale was knocked off the body of the python!

The python, in pain, swept its tail incessantly toward the people on the ground. Nie Qing was alright since he could dodge mid-air, but the others had to keep dodging to avoid being hit by the python’s thick tail.

Seeing this, Su Jin targeted the ground and deployed her Wood elent ability, and with a hissing sound, many wooden spikes suddenly appeared around the python. Although sharp at the tips, the spikes couldn’t pierce the python’s body; however, they greatly restricted its movent. Its body and tail could no longer sweep around, putting it in a very passive situation.

“This is the first ti I’ve seen you use this move,” Lu Hao said to Su Jin.

“This is a forest. The ground here can sprout wooden spikes, which wouldn’t be possible in the city,” Su Jin explained.

Lu Hao nodded and continued his attack on the python!

“Be careful!” Nie Qing, spotting the python’s intent, warned everyone from the air.

The python suddenly spat out a ball of green liquid from its mouth toward Huang Yunxiang’s direction!

Lin Xiuyuan managed to create an Ice Shield to block the liquid for Huang Yunxiang, but the shield splashed with liquid gradually corroded!

“This stuff is poisonous! Be careful not to touch it!” Lin Xiuyuan discarded the Ice Shield and pulled Huang Yunxiang and Mao Qiqi away from the range of the python’s head.

“Help trap it for a strike,” Lu Hao said to Su Jin.

Su Jin nodded. A circle of wooden spikes ford a wooden barrier, trapping the python right in the center.

Lu Hao, seeing the trap was set, didn’t delay any longer, raised his Tang Sword, and struck at the area where the scales had fallen off!

The Tang Sword, with Special Ability Fire, plunged straight into the python’s vulnerable spot. Pythons dislike the shade and fear fire attacks the most, and now the fire that entered its body was corroding it from the inside out. At this point, it seed to lack even the strength to hiss, and the python’s head lay helplessly on the ground, blood oozing out from the jaw that Lin Xiuyuan had pierced.

Seeing the python no longer moving, Lu Guanhai wanted to go in for a closer look to see if it was truly dead. He had only reached the head of the snake when the python suddenly opened its mouth and snapped at Lu Guanhai!

Nie Qing, with quick reflexes, launched a huge Wind Ball straight at the python’s head!

The head was knocked askew and hit the wooden barrier, allowing Lu Guanhai to narrowly escape disaster.

“Dad, be careful, snakes may strike back!”

Lu Hao pulled Lu Guanhai behind him and then raised the Tang Sword to slice the snake’s body in two.

“Scared to death, thanks, Old Nie,” Lu Guanhai patted his chest, still frightened by the recent event.

Nie Qing waved his hand to show it was nothing, indicating that even if he hadn’t used the Wind Ball, the girl’s vines would have been able to pull him away in ti.

“Quick, see if there is a Beast Core,” Nie Qing said excitedly.

Lu Hao nodded, split the python’s head from the mouth, and began searching from the upper jaw inward, because the exterior of the snake’s head was too hard, so searching from the inside out was simpler.

“`

The sll of blood grew stronger, and a beast core the size of a fist erged from inside.

Su Jin felt sowhat disappointed, “Why is the beast core so small when the python’s body is so large?”

“I think it’s because its head is relatively small, as you can see the beast core already occupies the majority of its brain area,” Su Xiangzhe analyzed, implying that the python’s large body was sowhat pointless.

After Huang Yunxiang cleaned the beast core with her special ability, Su Jin directly stored it in her space. It was destined for the space anyway, and storing it directly would be more convenient.

“Xiao Jin, do we really need the python flesh?” Huang Yunxiang asked, covering her nose. She worried that if it were stored in the space, it might stink up the place.

“No, we don’t need it.”

The at of the python was filled with deadly poison and definitely inedible. Although its scales were incredibly tough and could be used for defensive armor, dealing with them one by one was quite troubleso, so they decided to discard them.

The group left the foul-slling clearing and continued up the mountain.

Having just entered, they had already encountered two mutant animals, so it seed certain there were many other mutant animals in the mountains; hence, they proceeded with great caution every step of the way.

Though sounds of bird calls or other animal noises occasionally ca from the woods, overall it was very quiet, punctuated only by the persistent crunch of their footsteps on twigs.

“Why does it seem like there are no animals around?” After remaining vigilant for a while, Lin Xiuyuan relaxed a bit as no mutant animals had appeared for so ti.

Seeing this, Nie Qing floated himself mid-air to survey the surroundings.

“There’s a clearing up ahead; let’s set up a formation there and lure the nearby mutated beasts to us,” Nie Qing suggested.

Everyone nodded in agreent; it would be more efficient to use a formation to ‘wait for the rabbit’ than to keep searching endlessly.

“Apprentice, make sure to pay close attention to the formation I’m about to set,” Old Nie told Lu Hao while they walked side by side.

Lu Hao nodded. Recently, Old Nie had taught him a lot about formation knowledge and setting techniques in the space, but he had only had the chance to set the simplest confinent formation. Could it be that his master was not going to set a confinent formation this ti?

The group reached the clearing and Nie Qing borrowed so crystal cores from Su Jin, placing them in different directions around the clearing, then started to chant under his breath.

“Master, is this a Spirit Gathering Array?” Lu Hao asked doubtfully, as the array seed different from what he understood to be a Spirit Gathering Array.

“Exactly. However, this is my own creation, the Spirit Gathering Trapping Formation. The so-called spirit gathering trapping formation uses the spiritual energy in the crystal cores to attract mutated animals with beast cores, then traps them here. Once the formation is complete, we’ll just wait on the sidelines,” Nie Qing explained with a smile, exuding confidence.

He had often used this kind of formation while hunting beasts on the mountain in the past, substituting food for crystal cores. However, using crystal cores this ti would be more suitable for attracting mutated animals.

Nie Qing continued setting up the formation while explaining the key points to Lu Hao. Lu Hao listened attentively, realizing that if this formation proved effective, he could use it as a trap to lure mutated beasts in the future and then annihilate them in one fell swoop.

The formation was quickly set up. To avoid affecting its effectiveness, the group decided to hide inside the space first. They found a nearby bush, went behind it, and entered the space.

When their grandparents saw them co in, they thought they were in danger, but only relaxed after learning the reason for their return.

Lin Yunguo even brought out a platter of waterlon as a refreshnt for everyone. Hearing that they had just slain a huge python spirit and must be thirsty, he ntioned that the waterlon had been chilled in well water and was sure to be super sweet.
