“Anyway, be careful,” Lu Hao said.
The road leading to Antique City was inaccessible by car, so they had to get out and walk. Su Jin placed Local Tyrant Gold on Lu Hao’s shoulder; although both were sowhat reluctant, they obediently did not resist.

Su Jin hadn’t noticed the pile of sand, as it was common to see areas needing repair on the road, and a pile of sand by the wall didn’t seem out of the ordinary.
But the part of the sandpile beneath had a blood-red color, clearly covered by fresh sand on top, and while the top sand appeared wet and dark, the bottom was dry and light.

The two exchanged looks, and Lu Hao nodded, his right hand igniting a fla and hurling it toward the sand!

A pale, greenish Zombie burst out from the sand, hit by the fla!
It was a Mutated Zombie!
This Zombie had actually learned to hide and ambush, definitely not one that had just mutated.

The sizzling sounds abruptly stopped as the Earth Elent Zombie slowly fell. Su Jin withdrew the vine that had pierced the back of the Zombie’s head, a yellow Crystal Core also hooked out.
“Quite large,” Lu Hao comnted as he ca over.
“Yeah, it’s a Level Two Crystal Core. I wonder if uncle will be able to advance successfully after absorbing it,” Su Jin said. She rinsed the Crystal Core clean with water from a bottle in her Space, then tucked it into her storage bag and into her Space.
Coming out and finding loot, the feeling wasn’t bad.
Only then did the two of them walk toward the entrance of Antique City.
anwhile, at the long-distance bus station near Antique City, several people dressed as military personnel, drenched in blood, were desperately running towards the exit. Not far from the wall outside, zombies were dropping from the low wall one after another and getting up again to chase after them.
“Hurry up, take off your clothes, they’re catching up!” a dark-skinned woman at the exit shouted anxiously, holding onto the iron gate. She was ready to close it as soon as those team mbers ran out.
And this dark-skinned woman was Liang Jiuqing. Recently, more and more zombies had been gathering near the refuge. Every day, their team mbers were making different levels of sacrifice. Today, they had been forced to split into several groups to divert the zombies, and the way to attract the zombies was to cover the team mbers with fresh blood, which would make any nearby zombies follow the scent.
A team mber was taking off his outer clothes while running. The zombies outside the wall were piling up like stacks of arhats, climbing over one another. More and more zombies fell inside the wall, running toward them.

Although the helicopter kept dodging, it was hit several tis in the end. The Wind Blades ford by the Wind Elent Zombie struck and brought down the tail of the aircraft!

With the sound of a heavy object hitting the ground, the helicopter eventually crashed!

The team mbers had reached the outside of the gate by this ti and saw the plane thoroughly covered by zombies, teeth clenched in fury.

Now they could only watch as their comrades were torn apart. The doors and windows of the helicopter were quickly shattered by the zombies, and the two young pilots inside, still stunned from the crash, were pulled out by countless grabbing zombie hands before they could react…

“Team leader, we need to get out of here! We can’t hold out much longer!” a team mber, his face dripping with sweat, said.
With the helicopter crash, the bombs hadn’t been successfully detonated. So many zombies trapped inside, with only a perforated iron gate for defense, it was clear that it couldn’t hold out for long.
