Chapter 569: Chapter 567 Why_1 Chapter 569: Chapter 567 Why_1 Xia Ningxing raised her hand to touch his tender cheek, then turned to Lu Tingli and said,

“Lu, take Chuanchuan to the nursery; otherwise, I’m afraid he’ll wake up,” Xia Ningxing said softly.

“Okay,” Lu Tingli nodded, agreeing.

But before he could reach out to pick up the child, the little one slowly opened his large, clear, black and white eyes, looking at Xia Ningxing with eyes filled with sleepiness.

“Yah yah!” He called out twice, smiling with two little dimples appearing.

At the sound, Xia Ningxing imdiately stopped packing and, with moist eyes, held the chubby little guy in her arms.

“Chuanchuan!”

Xia Ningxing sobbed his na.

The ones she could least bear to part with were him and Lu Tingli.

“Yah yah!” The little one seed to sense that Mommy was about to leave him again, and his little mouth puckered up imdiately, crying so loudly that tears fell like beads off a string.

This ti, no matter how much Lu Tingli glared at him, he was not going to stop.

“Don’t cry, don’t cry, Chuanchuan be good,” Xia Ningxing hastened to gently soothe him. She bowed her head and told him, “Mommy will only be gone for a few days, and I’ll co back in a few days.”

“Wu wu!” The little guy clutched her clothes tightly, refusing to let her go.

“Lu, I can’t stand it; take him away quickly, otherwise, I am really going to regret it,” Xia Ningxing said in a choked voice, prying his little hands off one by one before picking up her suitcase and running outside.

If she stayed at ho for one more second, she was certain she wouldn’t want to leave.

Even as she drove away, the sound of the little guy’s heart-rending cries still echoed in Xia Ningxing’s ears.

Xia Ningxing couldn’t hold back any longer and covered her mouth as she cried out.

She wanted to go back, but she understood that she couldn’t.

She had to go there to conduct research work for everyone’s sake, as well as for her little family!

On the way, Lu Tingli called her, “Ningxing, don’t worry about Chuanchuan; he has been soothed and has stopped crying…”

As he spoke, Lu Tingli brought the phone near to Chuanchuan, and soon Xia Ningxing could hear Chuanchuan and the old man’s voice.

The old man was amusing Chuanchuan, who made a joyful “giggling” sound, reminiscent of a hen settling into her nest before laying eggs.

Hearing his laughter, Xia Ningxing couldn’t help but smile along, her lips curving upwards incessantly.

The heart that was gripped with worry could finally relax.

Lu Tingli continued, “So just focus on your research to find the antidote, we’ll take good care of Chuanchuan.”

His assurance built an impregnable façade of strength for Xia Ningxing, dispelling all her concerns.

She took a deep breath, slightly choked up, “Lu, rember to take good care of yourself too!”

“Don’t worry, I will,” Lu Tingli replied imdiately.

“And you know that, right!” he added after finishing.

Xia Ningxing nodded firmly, “I will too!”

After hanging up the phone, Xia Ningxing’s mood had clearly improved from before.

Soon, she arrived at the health organization’s building.

Xia Ningxing walked towards the building with her bag in hand.

After checking her identification, the guards imdiately let her through and made a call to have soone arrange for her stay.

Ordinarily, a dic would not have the qualifications to enter the Capital Health Departnt for dicinal research, but Xia Ningxing, while serving as a special consultant at Lu Hospital, had saved many people and solved many difficult dical cases, and her strong suit was pharmacology.

Moreover, there was the strong recomndation of Dean Lu.

That’s why she was invited by the Capital Health Departnt.

When she first heard the news, she was almost stunned; she had not expected that the health organization would recognize her, given that aside from a reclusive family from a Traditional dicine Family, the status of other practitioners of traditional dicine was rather low.

It couldn’t be helped—after all, most allopathic dications worked much faster compared to traditional Chinese dications.

After all, who doesn’t want a dical solution that can heal quickly, not to ntion that allopathic treatnts usually involve IV drips or capsules which cause much less suffering to the patients, while, on the other hand, traditional Chinese dicine can be unbearably bitter.

While Xia Ningxing was lost in her thoughts, soone had already co to receive her.
