Chapter 484: Chapter 482: Really Not Biological_1 Chapter 484: Chapter 482: Really Not Biological_1 Outside the operating room, many people were standing around.

There was Lin Sisi, Luo Xiaohua, and Ruan Ruanruan.

“It’s going to be okay, everything will definitely be okay.”

“Taozi is such a good person, she’s bound to be fine!”

“Really, how could such an accident happen all of a sudden?”

“Stop crying, she’s definitely going to be fine.”

Everyone was comforting each other.

anwhile, Little Sweetie seed to sense that her mother was in danger. She had been playing well with her little friends at the kindergarten, but suddenly she started crying uncontrollably, and no matter how the teachers tried, they couldn’t calm her down.

“Mommy, I want my mommy, waaaah, I want my mommy…”

She was wailing, repeating that phrase with her delicate voice.

Seeing no other choice, the teacher had to quickly call Tao Tao, but the call wouldn’t go through.

In the end, the teacher had no choice but to call Lu Fan’s alternate number.

Initially, Lu Fan had gone to the kindergarten to leave his number with the teacher, instructing them to contact him if there was ever any issue.

“Hello?” Lu Fan’s tone wasn’t very pleasant.

He had been investigating the light fixture falling incident, but still hadn’t found any leads.

It seed like it really was just an accident.

“Hello, is this Mr. Lu? This is Little Sun Kindergarten. Ms. Tao’s daughter has been crying nonstop, and no matter what we do, she won’t listen. Could you please co over?” the teacher said, sounding helpless.

Upon hearing it was about Little Sweetie, Lu Fan imdiately agreed, “I’ll be right there.”

After hanging up, he made a call for soone to continue the investigation of the falling light incident while he drove to the kindergarten.

Just as he reached the entrance of the kindergarten, Lu Fan could hear Little Sweetie’s heart-wrenching sobs coming from inside.

Her voice was hoarse from crying.

He imdiately felt an imnse heartache, as if Little Sweetie were his own daughter.

“How do you even call yourselves teachers, if you can’t calm a child down?” Lu Fan reprimanded, while he picked up Little Sweetie into his arms: “Little Sweetie, be good, don’t cry, don’t cry.”

His tone was incredibly gentle.

“Mr. Lu…” Seeing a familiar face, the little girl finally stopped crying.

But because she had been crying for so long, she heaved and gagged a few tis.

“Ough—cough—”

The little girl’s face was pale as paper, and her body twitched a few tis.

Lu Fan’s brow was furrowed as if it were about to catch flies, and he quickly rubbed her back gently.

He then picked up a cup nearby and poured so water for her: “There, have so water.”

“Thank you, Mr. Lu.” Little Sweetie took the cup, had a sip, then imdiately lifted her tearful eyes, pleadingly looking at him, “Mr. Lu, where is my mom? The teacher said they couldn’t get through to her. Tell , where did she go, why hasn’t she co to pick up?”

Her small sob was full of grievance and worry.

“Your mom, she’s fine…” Lu Fan couldn’t bring himself to cruelly reveal the truth to a child, so he forced out a smile and lied.

“Really?”

“Of course, it’s true.” Lu Fan struggled to contain his sadness and nodded at her, “Mr. Lu wouldn’t lie to you.”

“Then can you take to see her?”

“That… ” When one lie was told, a pile more were needed to cover it up. Lu Fan quickly said, “That won’t do. Your mom is attending a closed dance training session, and you can’t see her for the next few days.”

“But why wouldn’t she tell ?” Despite being a child, Little Sweetie was not easy to trick.

Lu Fan was on the verge of tears, his mind racing, “Because it happened so suddenly, and her phone was broken too, your mom didn’t have ti to tell you. That’s why she sent to let you know, and also told you to stay at my place for the next few days.”

“Really?”

“Of course it’s true.”

“Then you tell , when can my mom co back?”

“She’ll be back in a few days.”

“Okay then.” The little girl pouted, feeling that sothing was off, but she was too young to outthink an adult when it ca to logic.

After explaining the situation to the teachers at the kindergarten, Lu Fan intended to take Little Sweetie with him.

Normally, the kindergarten wouldn’t allow children to be taken away by anyone other than a blood relative, but considering the special circumstances and having governntal officials vouch for Lu Fan, they agreed to release the child.

“Uncle Lu, where are we going next?” Once outside, Little Sweetie, with her adorable face and backpack, looked up curiously and asked him.

“Uncle Lu will take you to my house, okay?” Lu Fan crouched in front of her, tidying her ssy hair.

If he were to take her back to the company, firstly, there would be no one to take care of her, and secondly, with many people around, soone might say sothing unnecessary in front of the child.

Better to take her ho to play with Sir Lu.

“I’ll do as Uncle Lu says.” Little Sweetie was a well-behaved child and nodded without objection.

Lu Fan felt like his heart was lting, “Such a good girl.”

Then he took her hand and lifted her into the car.

Upon arrival at the old house, he again took her hand and led her inside.

The mont the housekeeper saw Lu Fan leading a two- or three-year-old girl, she scread in shock, “Sir Lu, Lu, Master Lu is back… ”

“So he’s back, what’s the big deal? Are you making such a fuss because he’s grown wings?” Sir Lu, playing chess by himself in the living room, scoffed.

“No, no, it’s not that, Master Lu brought a child back!” the housekeeper hastily added.

“What!” Upon hearing this, Sir Lu imdiately lost his temper, “Well, well, this damned boy, now he’s even brought a child into the world, shaming our Lu Family completely!”

Grumbling, he staggered outside.

When he saw the soft and adorable little creature by Lu Fan’s side, Sir Lu blinked in astonishnt.

Ah!

Such a cute little one!

He wished Xia Ningxing could give a granddaughter like this to the Lu Family!

Xia Ningxing: “…”

How could this be related to !

Though the child was cute, Sir Lu boiled with anger again when he thought she was a love child Lu Fan had fathered elsewhere.

“Lu Fan! You scoundrel!”

“Hurry up, take this illegitimate daughter of yours back to where she ca from. Let tell you, our Lu Family will never accept won of dubious character into our ho, nor will we accept unruly children!” Sir Lu declared vehently with principle.

Lu Fan was covered in taphorical sweat, “Grandfather, you’ve got it all wrong.”

“What have I got wrong? The child is the spitting image of you. Are you trying to tell she’s not your own?”

“…She’s really not my own.”

At that, Sir Lu was truly taken aback.

“Really?” he asked skeptically.

“Of course it’s true. If you don’t believe it, feel free to have a paternity test done,” Lu Fan said exasperatedly.
