Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Is Selling Vegetables So Easy? (8/10) Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Is Selling Vegetables So Easy? (8/10) Fan Tianyu frowned, not really understanding, but he quickly got it.

The two of them exerted a lot of effort and finally managed to haul the two carts of vegetables into the Vegetable Market.

When i ngzhen ca back to the Vegetable Market after a month’s absence, she instantly felt the piercing stares from the vendors around her.

Fan Tianyu had never seen this kind of situation and felt a bit odd, “Zhenzhen, why are they all looking at us so strangely, can we even sell our vegetables here?”

“We can, just go further back, I used to set up my stall there by the Grocery Store’s entrance.”

As they moved deeper into the alley and got closer to that spot, the owners of so nearby stalls started to look familiar. While still on their way, they began greeting her, “Kid, you’re back to selling vegetables, huh?”

“Yeah, Boss, I’m back, long ti no see.”

“It’s been indeed a long ti, a whole month.”

Another stall owner said, “Right, a full month, four whole weeks. You’re selling vegetables way too freely.”

i ngzhen continued walking forward as she replied, “I can’t help it, senior year of high school is so busy. But I’ll co more often now since my cousin and I are selling vegetables together.”

As soon as they heard she would be coming regularly and had brought a cousin, everyone’s gaze imdiately focused on Fan Tianyu. While they were talking, the two pulled their carts up to the Grocery Store’s spot.

The spot was still vacant, and the store owner’s wife, Sister Zhang, was still selling so vegetables at the doorway as usual.

Seeing Sister Zhang, i ngzhen greeted her enthusiastically, “Sister Zhang, long ti no see!”

Sister Zhang had heard the lively commotion from afar and hastened to et ngzhen, “This girl just disappeared without a word, not even a hello. You have no idea how many people asked why you stopped selling vegetables and how much business was lost.”

Sister Zhang cared about the money. Even though it wasn’t going into her pocket, she still felt the loss, especially since her husband and kids had beco pickier with their food since ngzhen’s vegetables were gone. She had been looking forward to ngzhen’s return more than anyone else, and now her wish had been fulfilled.

“Sister Zhang, can I set up my stall in the sa spot as before?” Although no one officially claid the stall spots, the fact was that it was right in front of Sister Zhang’s Grocery Store. Sister Zhang could kick out anyone she wanted, except for ngzhen, who had kept the spot vacant. Even though ngzhen knew Sister Zhang would agree, it was still proper to ask.

As expected, Sister Zhang joyfully consented, “Sure, why not? I’ve been hoping for you to co.”

The group arrived at the stall where Sister Zhang helped Fan Tianyu unload the vegetables. Just as they set up on the ground, several nearby vendors left their stalls and rushed over.

“Kid, are these vegetables for sale now?”

“Yes, they are. Sa old prices. Cabbage and radishes are 10 yuan each, eggplants and potatoes are 5 yuan each, and apples are also 10 yuan each. Let know how much you want, and I’ll bag them for you.” This was what she had discussed with Fan Tianyu at ho; it didn’t seem right to hike prices since these vegetables had already been sold before. Even with the old prices, Tianyu thought they were expensive enough as it was.

The person smiled and said, “Alright, give 5 cabbages, 5 radishes, 5 potatoes, 2 eggplants, and 5 apples too.”

“Okay.” As she said this, ngzhen sprang into action, pulling out a large bag and handing it to Tianyu, “Brother Tianyu, help out.”

Fan Tianyu had not expected the stall to start selling so quickly and was sowhat dazed, “Oh, right.”

Having taken the bag, ngzhen filled it according to the person’s request. Five cabbages and five radishes totaled one hundred yuan, potatoes and eggplants were a combined thirty-five, and the apples at fifty yuan, “A total of 185 yuan, thank you.”

The person handed over the money, took the vegetables, and quickly left to tend to his own stall – if he didn’t, it would soon beco difficult to squeeze out due to the crowd.

Seeing that person buy, Sister Zhang didn’t want to be left behind, “Zhenzhen, I want so too. Give 5 cabbages, 5 radishes, 10 potatoes, 6 eggplants, and 5 apples as well.”

“Right away, Brother Tianyu.”

As ngzhen called out, Tianyu quickly opened another big bag and held it open, finally understanding why she had prepared such large bags – apparently, the custors bought in bulk.

“Sister Zhang, that’s 230 yuan,” ngzhen announced.

“Alright.” Sister Zhang paid and took the vegetables, then had no ti for further chit-chat as ngzhen’s business really started to pick up.

They had brought four crates of vegetables and one of fruit, all of which sold out in roughly twenty minutes. The last apple was even given away by ngzhen as a gift to Sister Zhang.

Fan Tianyu was sowhat perplexed; he felt like he needed so ti to process everything. anwhile, ngzhen started chatting with Sister Zhang.

Sister Zhang said, “You suddenly left last ti without letting anyone know. Are you coming back or not? You have no idea how your absence impacted the taste of the als for my family. They’ve been picky eaters this whole month with you gone.”

“I’ll be coming, but it won’t be in person. I’m in my senior year now, and schoolwork is just too much. I don’t have the ti to co here. That’s why I brought my cousin along, to get him familiar with the place, so he can co and sell vegetables in the future. Sister Zhang, you can’t turn him away when he cos to sell.”

Sister Zhang laughed, “I wouldn’t turn him away, why would I do that to your family? I’m just asking, will he sell the sa vegetables as you?”

“Of course, if my cousin cos to sell, there’ll be even more types and the quantity will increase. But the quality is guaranteed, just like what I used to bring.”

“Good, I know your cousin now. Even if I didn’t, I recognize your crates. Just bring them on over; I won’t ever turn away business from your family. So, will you start setting up a stall again tomorrow?”

“Thanks, Sister Zhang. We didn’t bring much today and probably won’t make it in the next couple of days, but we’ll be able to set up a stall every day soon.”

Sister Zhang nodded; her family did buy a lot of vegetables, so they had enough to last a few days. If needed, she could just buy more and distribute to other family mbers later.

“That’s fine, all’s good.”

“Then Sister Zhang, we’re heading out. Chenchen, say goodbye to Sister Zhang.”

Chenchen, having watched Sister Zhang attentively, quickly followed ngzhen’s prompt and said, “Sister Zhang, goodbye.”

Fan Tianyu also snapped back to reality, gave a nod as a greeting, then they all headed ho pulling the empty carts.

All in all, they had stayed at the Market for about half an hour, and counting the ti to haul the carts, it was just about an hour, not even that actually.

After they left the Vegetable Market, Tianyu still felt a bit dazed and asked, “Is selling vegetables really this easy?”

“It’s not easy at all; it’s actually quite tiring. We’ve been busy for half an hour,” ngzhen replied.
