"The heater is turned on! You don't have to worry! You should worry about yourself catching a cold! What were you thinking about getting drenched in the rain like that? What happened to your books and school bag?" When he picked her up, they had fallen into the muddy waters that had gathered along the road.
"The books? Uncle Mu, you will buy a new set for , right? I don't have any books to use for studying! Those accidentally got spoiled!" She pouted her lips, almost shedding tears, but that soft touch from Third Master Mu soothed and cald her.
He had noticed she would try and avoid answering whatever he asked; maybe she was hiding sothing from him, and he needed to check out tomorrow what could have transpired. He had to get to the bottom of the matter!
"I will get you new books! That can't bankrupt , so you don't have to worry." For her, he would give her everything.
"Thank you, Uncle Mu..." She felt touched and happy. She happily smacked her lips, it's been five years since he brought her out of that orphanage in the village, and for the first two years he had left her in the Zhou family, he was busy dealing with the Company trying to stabilize it, and when he showed up at the Zhou family, he realized that they had turned her into an unknown girl he could barely recognize.
She had beco so timid and always hiding; whenever he tried getting closer to her, she would hide or insult him. He was puzzled as to what had happened to her for the last two years he had left her in the Zhou family, and he was even regretting bringing her back to this family.
Seeing her like this, cald his heart and slightly felt happy! He couldn't help but put a smile on his face. That gentle smile was caught by Zhou Yuxi; she did know her Uncle Mu had the most handso face, but seeing him smiling was sothing else that would blind her eyes.
She loudly gulped, and Third Master Mu heard her; he turned around and faced her, gazing into those stargazing eyes," Should we pass through a restaurant?" He looked at those thin arms, they probably didn't feed her well. She didn't look healthy, like a child well taken care of, and her body hadn't grown much.
"No! I'm not hungry, I will eat at ho!" She actually didn't want to exhaust her Uncle by moving from one place to another in the middle of the night when they are supposed to be sleeping and having a rest.
"Ohhh..." He slightly felt terrible, thinking maybe she didn't want to dine with him; his mood dampened slightly, looking lost. Feeling that change of aura, Zhou Yuxi held his arm and leaned on it comfortably before closing her eyes.
At the mont, she didn't want him to misunderstand her words; she just wanted to be very understanding of him; she didn't want to trouble him and exhaust him for no reason.
Third Master Mu felt better seeing that she wasn't trying to avoid him but seed to be exhausted.
For her to sleep in a better posture, he dragged her over to his lap and laid her head on his lap comfortably before using that blanket to nicely cover her up even though the car heater was turned on.
Zhou Yuxi hadn't fallen asleep yet and could feel his little tender gesture here and there. With no ti, she fell asleep in his arms with all the warmth. She felt safer in his arms and always would.
"Drive carefully! She is sleeping! If she dares wake up, you will have to put her to sleep." He hoarsely cautioned the driver that he had to be careful driving through the bumps. Thus, he reduced his speed. How could he put a grown woman to sleep?
"Third Master Mu, you will be late for your flight!" He was worried that Mu Yunchen would change his mind with the way Zhou Yuxi was acting tender with him. And true to his worries, Third Master Mu changed his mind, looking at that girl lying on her lap. This was the only thing he ever wanted, being at peace with her like this!
