Upon receiving the marriage certificate with the steel seal, Tang Li’s lips curved uncontrollably.
However, when Song Baiyan glanced over, she pursed her lips into a straight line, trying hard to look serious, but her right hand reached over and directly took the marriage certificate in front of Song Baiyan.
"I’ll keep it for you." She said as she placed it into her bag alongside the other one in her hand.
Song Baiyan simply looked at her with a doting smile, not stopping her childish actions.
As the staff left, Tang Li was preparing to make a wedding speech, but her cellphone rang first; it was Mother Wu calling.
As soon as the call connected, Mother Wu’s deliberately lowered and hurried voice ca through: "Xiao Li, that classmate of Hanhan’s ca over to the house again and had a conflict with your stepmother, there was blood on the spot!"
Blood was drawn.
Tang Li instinctively thought of Jiang Yiniing talking to her about being pregnant earlier.
Given that Song Baiyan was right beside her, Tang Li couldn’t directly ntion the word miscarriage, so she changed her question: "Did sothing happen to Yiniing?"
Song Baiyan raised his head to look at her when he heard, but didn’t ask further.
It was a gesture of complete trust and indulgence.
"Not her, it’s your stepmother!"
Mother Wu’s answer made Tang Li pause slightly; she glanced back at Song Baiyan, turned with her phone, and asked, "What happened?"
Mother Wu described it as nothing more than a drama where the mistress forces the issue.
Jiang Yiniing ca to say she was pregnant with Lai Wenyan’s child, which naturally infuriated Ouyang Qian. With new and old grievances, ignoring Old Madam Lai and Lai Yuaner’s attempts to stop her, she tangled with Jiang Yiniing on the spot.
After a ruckus, Ouyang Qian fell to the ground.
Underneath her skirt, there was imdiately a pool of red.
No one expected Ouyang Qian to actually be pregnant.
Not even Ouyang Qian expected it.
Seeing Ouyang Qian lying in a pool of blood, Jiang Yiniing was also dumbstruck.
Lai Wenyan rushed ho upon hearing the news, while Ouyang Qian was also carried into an ambulance. Upon learning that his child might be gone, he lost his temper in anger and slapped Jiang Yiniing hard!
"Miss Yuanyuan rode in the ambulance to accompany her to the hospital, and the Councilman had his driver take him there too. I reckon, that child is probably not going to make it."
After all, it was a life, and a hint of sighs laced Mother Wu’s words.
As soon as Tang Li finished her call with Mother Wu, Lai Wenyan’s call ca in.
The very first thing he said was for Tang Li to go to the hospital imdiately.
"Your aunt had a fall, it’s quite serious. Yuanyuan is not capable of handling it; if you’re free, hurry over."
Tang Li could sense the anger beneath Lai Wenyan’s calm voice.
It’s easy to imagine that the scene at the Lai Family was extrely ugly.
At this mont, asking her to go to the hospital likely ans Lai Wenyan and Ouyang Qian’s mother and daughter have beco adversaries.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t ask her to go as a helper.
If she refuses, Lai Wenyan might likely vent his anger on her.
Upon learning that Tang Li planned to go to the hospital, Song Baiyan set aside his coffee cup, without trying to deliberately hold her back, and even picked up the phone to instruct Ji Ming to prepare a regular car to send her.
Clearly on their wedding day, yet she still had to go out and busy herself.
Even though Song Baiyan didn’t say anything, Tang Li still felt guilty herself.
Before leaving, she hugged the small backpack with the two marriage certificates inside and turned back to Song Baiyan, saying: "I’m just going to take a look, still planning to co back for dinner."
Upon finishing, she realized sothing seed odd about what she said.
Before her face could blush, Tang Li went forward and hugged Song Baiyan: "Hug before I go."
