Capítulo 882: Chapter 881: Her Boyfriend Is Song Baiyan

On the other side of the phone, Yu Sui also heard the man’s voice.

Initially surprised, her tongue reacted faster than her brain. She grabbed the cellphone with both hands and couldn’t wait to ask, “Ah Li, why is there a man next to you?”

Judging by the clarity of the voice, he was obviously very close by.

Tang Li had already covered the cellphone’s microphone.

From the earpiece, Yu Sui’s continuous “interrogation” sounded: “Is it your boyfriend?”

“Were you together all day yesterday?”

“Last night, did you play soccer?”

Tang Li understood Yu Sui’s “play soccer”, feeling her ear against the cellphone heat up. Glancing at Song Baiyan, who was reading a newspaper, she finally replied to Yu Sui, “In this hot weather, what’s so great about playing soccer? If you want to go, then go ahead. But when you get heatstroke and miss work, they’ll deduct your salary.”

Yu Sui: “… Haha.”

“Let’s leave it at that.” Tang Li prepared to end the call, “We’ll talk about other things when I’m on the set.”

“Hold on!”

Yu Sui shouted, “Where are you? I’ll co pick you up.”

Tang Li was about to say no when Song Baiyan suddenly looked up, his gentle, deep eyes filled with a touch of concern: “Not planning to have a driver co pick you up?”

“…” Tang Li kept covering the microphone, looking back at Song Baiyan: “Coming to the villa might not be good.”

Song Baiyan had a slight smile on his lips: “Why not good?”

“It could be discovered.”

“Since she’s your assistant and your college classmate, she’ll find out sooner or later. If you trust her, telling her earlier isn’t sothing to worry about.”

“When did I get nervous?” Tang Li defended herself.

Song Baiyan just smiled, then nodded in agreent: “You’re right, you weren’t nervous; it was my misinterpretation of your actions.”

That comnt made things even worse.

Tang Li looked at Song Baiyan: “Should I really tell her to co pick up?”

Song Baiyan had already expressed his opinion.

Before hanging up, Tang Li told Yu Sui on the other end: “I’m at Yunqi Villa, have the driver co over.”

Yu Sui, sitting in the back of the nanny van, was stunned for a few seconds. It wasn’t until she heard the busy signal that she realized Yunqi Villa wasn’t just an upscale neighborhood; it was a private estate of so bigwig. During the last presidential election, Yunqi Villa had even appeared in the news.

After breakfast, Tang Li, holding hands with Song Baiyan, took a walk in the corridor outside the main building.

As Mr. Song said, walking after a al aids digestion.

In mid-August, even in the morning, the heat was still stifling.

Song Baiyan, however, appeared extrely patient.

Eventually, even Tang Li was influenced by his patience, shedding her irritability and continuing forward without breaking a sweat.

Half an hour later, the nanny van drove into the villa.

Looking at the scenery on both sides, Yu Sui couldn’t shake the feeling it was familiar, as if she had been here before.

When she got out of the car and saw the main building, she finally rembered – wasn’t this the place where she was brought to overnight by Tang Li after being injected with drugs!

Soon, a servant led her inside.

On the way, Yu Sui’s thoughts were a tangled ss, filled with various speculations.

When she finally saw Song Baiyan, she tripped at the entrance, almost falling and nearly knocking over a vase on the shoe cabinet.

Luckily, she was quick to react and caught it just in ti.

Song Baiyan was standing at the living room entrance, holding a landline phone in his left hand. Hearing the commotion, he looked up, seeing Tang Li’s sowhat awkward classmate. His expression relaxed, and his tone was kindly: “Tang Li is upstairs taking a shower. You can sit and wait, or go up and find her.”
