The next morning, Tang Li opened her eyes, and Song Baiyan had already gotten up.
Just like when she woke up in the middle of the night, the master bedroom contained only her.
Recalling the events of the previous night felt like a fleeting dream, but when she saw the cake on the coffee table and touched the identification tag around her neck, these things reminded her that everything truly happened.
Tang Li’s clothes were sent for cleaning and hadn’t been returned yet.
She put on Mr. Song’s pajamas again, did so light washing up, and opened the door of the master bedroom to go out.
At this mont, Song Baiyan was making a call in the study.
To avoid waking Tang Li, he had taken his cellphone there.
"...Leave the briefing in the office, and have Minister Bai co by again in the afternoon."
Tang Li didn’t imdiately go downstairs. She wandered around the corridor, and as she passed the study, she heard the voice of the man inside. Accidentally overhearing a couple of sentences, she determined it wasn’t confidential business. She changed her direction, reaching out to push the study’s slightly open door.
Song Baiyan stood in the window’s light.
He was still in his pajamas, unlike what she had seen at dawn. Now, seeing Song Baiyan made Tang Li an even greater sense of reliance.
Quietly approaching, Tang Li reached out and hugged Song Baiyan from behind.
Song Baiyan had just hung up the phone.
Suddenly embraced, he was not surprised, seemingly guessing who was behind him. He rely pinched her slender wrists, gently rubbing them with his thumb, "Awake?"
Tang Li didn’t answer with words, just quietly embraced him.
After a while, Song Baiyan pulled her over for a closer look, with a smile at the corner of his eyes, "Getting up this early, are you shooting morning scenes today?"
"Not really," Tang Li wrapped her hands around his waist, "I just couldn’t sleep, so I got up."
Song Baiyan suddenly asked her, "Does your body feel uncomfortable?"
Tang Li: "..."
ntioning this question, the man’s deep voice beca even more gentle and lingering. Tang Li felt her ears heat up, naturally understanding what Song Baiyan ant.
Actually, aside from so pain when Song Baiyan first entered, it was completely different later on. Tang Li still rembered she was a girl, especially concerning such affairs, given it was her first ti, she should behave modestly and avoid discussing so "ecstatic" feelings with Song Baiyan.
Tang Li was also curious, much like experiencing sothing new and being curious about the outco. Therefore, after hesitating for a few seconds, she asked, "How about you? Did it feel nice?"
"..." Mr. Song.
Tang Li continued, "I think it’s quite good. We could do this activity more in the future."
Song Baiyan’s lips slightly curved, "Aren’t you afraid you’ll tire yourself out by doing it often?"
There was a mont of silence in the air.
Then Tang Li asked, "Do you have back problems?"
"..." As a man, it wasn’t the first ti Song Baiyan’s physical condition was questioned by Tang Li. He felt helpless yet amused, "How about I go for a full-body check-up soday?"
Tang Li recalled his health in a previous life and nodded imdiately, "That’s sensible. At a certain age, annual check-ups are indeed necessary. Any issues can be detected and treated early."
These words sounded sowhat strange no matter how you listened to them.
Until Song Baiyan sat at the dining table, it finally occurred to him. He used to say similar things to Xiao Minglan every year. Looking again at Tang Li, who was eating a sandwich, he wasn’t sure whether to bla her cleverness or mischief. Ultimately, he laughed first, only sighing in his heart, "What a little rascal!"
Tang Li noticed sothing, lifting her eyes to look over, "What’s up?"
"Nothing." Song Baiyan turned a page of the newspaper, noticing the peanut butter on Tang Li’s cheek from the corner of his eye. Without knowing how it got there, he reached out his right hand to wipe it away with his thumb, "Were you saving that for a snack?"
