The bar owner, a man adorned with a chunky gold chain, glanced at the docunt bag on the table, which was unsealed, revealing stacks of cash peeking out from inside.

He leaned against the corner of the table and sat down, touching his nose bridge, "Little girl, you’ve got the wrong place. I’m a law-abiding citizen, and this is a licensed bar, with no ssy business involving won."

Tang Li reached out, pulled two bundles of cash from the docunt bag, and placed them in front of herself: "280,000 yuan, will you take this deal?"

"What seems to be the misunderstanding, young lady?" the man said, his gaze nevertheless stolen by the twenty thousand yuan Tang Li had removed.

As if she hadn’t heard his clarification, Tang Li leaned in once more, taking another twenty thousand from the docunt bag: "260,000 yuan, I need a woman with a hot figure, younger than thirty years old."

"Heh," the man lit a cigarette, "I’ve only seen n looking for won, this is the first ti I’ve seen a woman looking for the sa sex."

"Who says a woman can’t look for a woman?"

Tang Li took away another two bundles of cash: "240,000 yuan left, if you’re not interested, I can look elsewhere."

Having said that, Tang Li stood up.

She was just about to take the money on the table when the docunt bag was firmly held down!

Tang Li looked at the man.

The man took the docunt bag, counted the money inside, and then glanced at the sixty thousand yuan in front of Tang Li, inevitably feeling the pinch: "Your requirents are high; pretty is one thing, but also fearless of arrest—that price seems a bit hopeful."

Tang Li extended her hand to him, and the man was puzzled.

"I’ll go to another place," Tang Li said, not interested in haggling, "Give back my paper bag."

The man: "..."

At eight o’clock in the evening, Tang Li left the bar.

She hailed a taxi and gave the driver the address for Capital University.

She knew about Ethan’s residence from her past life— he had rented a house in a community near Capital University. Once, when Ethan had a high fever from a cold, she had learned of it and specifically visited him.

Thinking back now, him giving her his address was probably to make her believe in the identity he had fabricated.

Last night, Tang Li learned from Ethan’s lips that he still lived in that community.

In the apartnt filled with cigarette smoke, Ethan was bare-chested, engaged in a "naked" video chat on his cellphone. On the screen, a foreign woman in just her underwear was also smoking, as their conversation steered clear of no topics, raw or refined.

"In S country, soone like you wouldn’t be very popular, yet here you are, video chatting and flirting with ."

Anger still simred in Ethan’s chest from the beating he took. It was also for this reason he didn’t dare to go out tonight, fearing that he was already being watched.

The foreign woman crossed her legs, "Didn’t you go to S country to pick so goods, how did the picking go?"

"Rest easy," Ethan took a drag, his words laden with implication, "In at most half a month, I’ll bring her over to you."

"Not keeping her to play with yourself first?"

Ethan snorted with laughter: "The original plan was to do so, but given the current look of things, my days in the country are thrilling enough."

Just then, a call ca in on his phone.

He switched over to the call screen.

It was from an unknown number.

Ethan hit the answer button, realizing it was Tang Li.

Her probing voice ca through: "Ethan, I’m visiting Capital University with friends tonight, bought so lychees. If you’re at ho, let swing by and drop so off for you."

Tang Li’s gesture of goodwill gave him a sense of comfort, also showing that the fifty thousand yuan spent last night was not in vain: "Of course I’m ho. Where are you? I’ll co over and pick you up right away."

"No need to co over, I’m already at the entrance of the community!"
