Chapter 635: Chapter 635: I Kicked You Out, So What!
After many months, Tang Li spent the night in a guest room of the Lai Family’s ho without suffering from insomnia.
Tang Li, having washed up, ca downstairs at a little past seven in the morning.
At this ti, the Lai Family People hadn’t yet woken up.
Tang Li skipped breakfast and headed to school.
At six o’clock sharp in the morning, she received a text ssage from Fu Si. Along with a [grinning face] emoji, he subtly reminded her not to forget about their afternoon appointnt at the city library.
If she hadn’t agreed to tutor Fu Si, she would have planned to spend a week reading and preparing for exams in her dorm.
As for sophomore-year courses, they weren’t unfamiliar to Tang Li.
She had done well in a few foundational junior-year courses in her past life.
Even though several years had passed, the mont she picked up the textbooks, that familiar feeling was still there. A couple more practice problems and she’d be able to handle them with ease once more.
After lunch in the school cafeteria, Tang Li took a cab to the city library.
As soon as she alighted from the cab, she got a call from Fu Si.
Fu Si was already on the second floor of the library.
Ending the call, Tang Li switched her cellphone to silent mode and walked in, swiping her city resident card.
Once upstairs, she found the spot Fu Si described over the phone, only to discover that besides Fu Si, there were three boys, all of a similar age, who appeared to have planned this, each wearing flip-flops and baggy shorts. At the mont, they were shaking their legs and flipping through books idly.
Fu Si, sensing sothing, turned his head to look back.
Tang Li put her mask back on and turned to head downstairs.
“Hey!” Seeing that Tang Li was about to slip away, Fu Si hurriedly stood up and followed her: “Why are you leaving?”
Without a word, Tang Li looked at him with her doe-like eyes, her right thumb pointed towards the table where he was just sitting.
This was her way of asking Fu Si for an explanation.
Fu Si turned his head and saw those three guys waving at him, seemingly very happy.
“…” Facing Tang Li’s stare, he had no choice but to explain through gritted teeth: “They’re all relatives of mine, with final exams coming up, they heard I got a top student to tutor and clamored to join in, showing up at my house early in the morning.”
“How did they find out about it?”
“There’s a group chat.”
Tang Li: “…”
“The one in the white T-shirt is my cousin Fu Chunhe, a freshman; the one in the black T-shirt is Xu Dong, my second cousin, a sophomore; and that one in the basketball jersey called Song Yuan, just like , is a junior, the son of my maternal uncle.”
After giving a quick introduction, Fu Si whispered, “If you find them annoying, we can secretly change places later and leave them here.”
Eventually, Tang Li didn’t just walk away.
Sitting at the table, she felt as though she was surrounded by struggling students.
The usually assertive characters at school, now seated next to a pretty girl, all concentrated on their books. Noticing that Fu Si occasionally brought questions to the girl for help and she answered them patiently, they gradually loosened up and started bringing their textbooks to Tang Li as well.
In the evening, when leaving the library, the boy nad Song Yuan prodded Tang Li’s shoulder with his index finger.
Tang Li turned her head—
Song Yuan held out his cellphone, sowhat shyly, “Let’s add each other on WeChat.”
After they added each other as friends, it took less than three seconds for Tang Li to be pulled into a chat group called [Tall Rich Handso Base Camp].
At the sa ti, the chat ssages popped up rapidly.
[Fu Chunhe]: “Holy crap, who removed from the group?”
[Fu Si]: “Who the heck kicked out!”
[Xu Dong]: “I thought I was the only one…”
[Song Jingtian]: “[Voice ssage]”
Tang Li hadn’t expected Little Carrot Head to be in the group as well. She clicked on the [voice ssage], and Song Jingtian’s brash, youthful voice ca through: “I kicked you out, so what!”
