Tang Li didn’t sleep deeply.

Upon hearing voices, she woke up.

Seeing Li Ruan in the hospital room, Tang Li didn’t bother to greet her and went straight to the window to peek outside.

Even though it was late at night, there were still groups of three or five militian on the street, chatting and smoking, each with a Type 81-8 automatic rifle slung over their shoulder.

Bangkang, as the capital of Nanwa, was a place where everyone bore arms.

It wasn’t easy to infiltrate Nanwa, let alone to leave.

Li Ruan took a set of green military uniforms from the dical cart and handed them to Tang Li: "The quartermaster responsible for purchases in the 415th Brigade owed a favor. I told him, Kun was captured, and I’m ready to turn a new leaf. This ti, I’m here to take my only sister out of Nanwa."

Although the 415th Brigade wasn’t stationed in Kangbang, the quartermaster had travel permits for various places.

"To leave Kangbang, we will take a supply truck from the 415th Brigade."

They were impersonating logistics soldiers.

Just in case, Tang Li also had to cut her hair short.

Tang Li stared at the scissors Li Ruan handed over. Before she could reach for them, her right leg was hugged by soone—it was Song Jingtian.

The little guy clung tightly to her, uncharacteristically silent.

Li Ruan’s plan did not account for Song Jingtian.

There were no children in the army.

If they set out with Song Jingtian, they would be stopped at the checkpoint.

The little guy was perceptive and obviously realized this as well.

"In a while, I’ll have my people draw away those Nanwa Soldiers outside." Li Ruan tied one end of a rope to the horizontal bar of the hospital bed and showed Tang Li how to tie it to herself: "This is the third floor. I’ll test the rope and go down first, then help you from below."

Tang Li, however, placed the green uniform back on the cart: "I can’t leave with you tonight."

Li Ruan looked up at her.

His peripheral vision caught the pendant hanging on Tang Li’s leg, and he guessed the reason: "Qin Wenwa won’t harm this child. We can return to Chiang Mai Prefecture and send news of him being in Nanwa to S country. Naturally, they’ll find a way to rescue him."

This was the best arrangent.

Song Jingtian was Jin Lihua’s grandson.

Even if Tang Li escaped, Jin Lihua wouldn’t vent her anger on him.

Tang Li knew she should do this, but with the Temin skirt gripped by the little guy, she ultimately couldn’t tear the child’s hands away: "I now have a chance to get to the account book that the Li Family wants."

"The account book is not the reason I ca to Nanwa this ti." Li Ruan said solemnly.

In other words, there was no need for Tang Li to stay and take the risk.

"What if I told you that for the past few years, Qin Wenwa has been the one handling Isa’s drug dealing?"

This discovery undoubtedly surprised him.

Li Ruan had been by Kun’s side for ten years and had t Isa many tis.

A few years ago, Isa suddenly moved to Nanwa State and had since made few public appearances.

If there were any issues with business, Kun would go to Nanwa to report to Isa.

Each eting, Kun was called into the room alone.

Li Ruan still rembered that a few tis, Kun’s face didn’t look good when he ca out.

With Tang Li’s previous reminder, Li Ruan couldn’t help but suspect—

Back then, the person in the room discussing matters with Kun was probably Qin Wenwa.

Kun was known for being competitive and ruthless and would naturally not be subservient to a mistress, hence the displeasure on his face.

"Qin Wenwa is Song Jinyang’s mother." Tang Li further told Li Ruan: "I would like you to pass this information to Song Baiyan."

Song Jinyang.

Li Ruan didn’t know who this was.

Since the surna was Song, it must be a mber of the Song Family.

He could pass on the ssage, but—

He again glanced at Song Jingtian, who was next to Tang Li.

Tang Li saw Li Ruan’s concern and explained, "Qin Wenwa captured here to provide companionship for the child. For now, it seems there won’t be any life-threatening danger."

Li Ruan said: "S country has already approached the Burse governnt. The outco is still uncertain."

This was to let her know—

If she missed tonight, they didn’t know when the next opportunity would co.

If the Nanwa Alliance Army didn’t cooperate, her return to the country would beco a distant prospect.

"Six years ago, Isa’s goods being shipped to M country were seized. M country demanded Isa’s extradition. Isa maneuvered around and ultimately let a drug dealer nad Wu take the fall."

This ti, Isa might use the sa trick.

No matter how powerful S country was, its reach didn’t extend into Burma’s borders.

Expecting them to obediently hand over hostages wasn’t going to be easy.

Tang Li looked again at this cousin she had only interacted with for a few days: "If I really can’t go back, I can still manage in Nanwa. My grandfather was an undercover agent for over twenty years; you’ve been by Kun’s side for nearly ten years. When it’s my turn, it’s not that I can’t endure this hardship."

Li Ruan’s throat moved slightly, and Tang Li added: "As for Song Baiyan—"

She paused and then continued: "I believe he can understand the choice I made tonight."

Since Tang Li was unwilling to leave, Li Ruan went into the restroom again.

When he ca out, he was once again the alluring nurse.

Tang Li rembered sothing else: "Qin Wenwa knows I’m from the Li Family, and she also knows my grandfather was an undercover sent by the Li Family."

She didn’t think it was Li Hao who told Jin Lihua.

Before obtaining the account book, Li Hao was unlikely to expose his cards on his own.

Li Ruan understood what she implied and truthfully inford: "That day, Qin Wenwa talked with the old man, saying she wanted to invite you to Nanwa as a guest. The old man then guessed that soone in the family leaked your travel plans."

Precisely because of this, he didn’t return to Nanwa under the guise of one of Kun’s subordinates.

As Li Ruan left, the little guy also let go of Tang Li.

Tang Li saw his low spirits: "Disappointed you can’t go with him?"

"The old man doesn’t want to take anyway." Song Jingtian returned to the bench and, seeing through things, spoke openly: "He ca here for you."

It was because of him that Tang Li didn’t leave.

He had it all planned out.

If Tang Li left him behind, he wouldn’t return to S country.

Then, he would be Qin Wenwa’s grandson.

He even thought about changing his na to Lucifer.

Once he took down Qin Wenwa and dominated the Golden Triangle, Tang Li would know his power.

By then, if Tang Li ca looking for him, he would nonchalantly tell her with icy indifference and mocking laughter—he had no mother, he was the infamous number one Drug Lord, Lucifer of the Golden Triangle, not just Song Jingtian.

Tang Li was unaware of the little guy’s rich inner journey and climbed back into bed, "Starting tomorrow, you need to pretend to be ill for half a month, rember?"

Just as she finished speaking, the thin blanket she had just covered herself with was gone.

Tang Li sat up, and Song Jingtian was hugging the thin blanket: "This is mine."

After speaking, he walked to the companion chair.

Tang Li: "..."

The little guy spread out the blanket on the companion chair and did a waist-twisting exercise before getting ready for bed. A quiet female voice drifted from the hospital bed: "Once there was an uncle and sister-in-law, and later, the sister-in-law froze to death."

Song Jingtian: "......"

Actually, the companion chair did have a blanket.

It’s just that Tang Li found it too dirty and refused to use it.

He was wondering if he should go and fetch the dirty blanket when the white thin blanket was thrown up.

The next morning, Jin Lihua rushed to the hospital and nearly got choked with anger.

Her obedient grandson slept on a companion chair with a dirty blanket.

As for the overnight companion, they occupied the patient’s bed, sleeping sprawled in all directions!

——

Goodnight.
