The airport terminal was silent as a winter cicada.

As the middle-aged man fell, blood splattered onto Li Ling’s shoes.

Li Ling almost lost her balance, wanting to scream, but it was like a duck with its neck choked, being dragged by the Culprit to the front of the crowd.

Tang Li crouched in the corner while Li Ling began identifying people one by one.

Beside her, Yuan Qin gripped his pistol tightly.

In such a situation, the odds of breaking through were close to zero.

But as a Special Agent of Tan Palace, it was his duty to protect the lady.

Tang Li watched Li Ling weaving through the group of passengers, all squatting with heads held, but instead cald down. Their eyes t as Li Ling raised her gaze.

Tang Li sensed the tension in Yuan Qin’s body.

Nevertheless, the expected mont of identification did not occur.

Li Ling glanced at her and quickly looked away, pushed by the Culprit as she stumbled to continue searching.

After one round, she found nothing.

Li Ling was pulled along by the Culprit, stamring explanations: "Since Miss Tang returned to the Li Family the second day, my son and I moved out. She always wore a mask wherever she went; I never saw her true face."

As she finished speaking, another slap landed on her!

"Ah!" Li Ling cried out in pain, her left cheek swelling into a bruised bun.

Seeing the Culprit holding her son preparing the gun, ready to act, Li Ling disregarded her safety and lunged forward, clinging to the Culprit’s arm, begging: "Please, let him go! He’s just a child!"

The response was a harsh kick to her stomach.

Tang Li didn’t believe Li Ling hadn’t recognized her. Li Ling would protect her, which took her by surprise.

Seeing Xie Zhun about to beco the next victim, Tang Li was about to stand up when Yuan Qin pressed her knee.

At this mont, in Yuan Qin’s eyes, Tang Li’s safety outweighed everything.

Even though those passengers were also innocent.

Just then, another masked man entered the airport terminal.

Judging by his manner and the Culprits’ attitudes, he was obviously the leader.

Yuan Qin’s expression changed subtly when he saw the man, quickly lowering his head as the man turned to look.

Tang Li also noticed Yuan Qin’s unusual deanor.

Over there, the Culprit leader took Xie Zhun from his underling.

He directly pressed him to kneel!

The M1911 in his hand was held at a 45-degree angle aid at the back of the child’s head, like an execution-style shooting.

"Ah Zhun—"

Li Ling tried to intervene but was firmly restrained!

Reborn, Tang Li considered herself cold-hearted, but watching this scene, she still could not remain indifferent.

Not just Xie Zhun.

Outside the airport terminal, there were many passengers who had been shot.

Including that middle-aged man just now.

All of these people had been implicated by her.

Yet this ti, before Tang Li could react, Yuan Qin stood up first.

When the Culprit leader cast his gaze over, Yuan Qin stared at him, saying, "Xue Ya, is that you?"

The na ’Xue Ya’ stirred an interest in the man’s eyes.

Though being publicly exposed, the man showed no sign of panic, calmly pulling off his mask to reveal the rugged face of a leader from State S.

Tang Li didn’t know who Xue Ya was. Yuan Qin calling out the na at this ti and place must have had a reason.

The man nad Xue Ya grinned at Yuan Qin, shifting the gun from Xie Zhun: "Since you’re here, who I’m looking for must be here too."

Saying this, he glanced toward Yuan Qin’s side.

In the next mont, Xue Ya’s smile deepened: "Miss Tang, you sure made us search thoroughly."

Taking the order, the Culprits moved, imdiately capturing her.

Tang Li and Yuan Qin were both brought before Xue Ya.

"My lord asked you to supervise people for years, is this how you supervise?"

Upon hearing Yuan Qin’s questioning, Xue Ya rely smiled: "To you, she’s a criminal, but in my eyes, she’s not."

"A dignified leader of State S traps a harmless woman due to personal grievances, who is also his father’s woman, such a person who confuses public and private affairs, is he truly worthy of our allegiance?"

Yuan Qin looked at him: "So, you chose to beco a traitor."

"I just don’t want to do a losing trade anymore," Xue Ya said, fiddling with his gun chamber: "My father, who relied on each other for survival, was seriously injured by the village tyrant for refusing demolition. My aunt tried to seek justice but got my uncle fired. By the ti I got the news overseas, my father had already passed his first seven days after death."

"Such a country is no longer worthy of my loyalty."

As he finished speaking, he suddenly raised his hand, and a gunshot rang out.

"Ah-ah—"

The airport terminal plunged into chaos again.

Tang Li witnessed Yuan Qin being shot, even though the bullet hit his shoulder, the shock surpassed any previous mont.

After all, this was soone she spent day and night with.

Tang Li’s first instinct was to find sothing to stop Yuan Qin’s bleeding.

However, before she could act, Yuan Qin’s body started to move.

Yuan Qin grasped the gun in Xue Ya’s hand with one hand, while his right hand seized Xue Ya’s wrist. Due to the outward twist, Xue Ya’s strength eased, and at the mont the gun aid at Xue Ya, another shot was fired, turning a section of Yuan Qin’s back red—it was from another Culprit.

Before the Culprit could finish off, Yuan Qin had already pulled the trigger on the M1911.

"Bang!"

Xue Ya looked down, seeing his abdon had been shot.

All of this took place in the blink of an eye.

With that shot, Yuan Qin had no strength left to fight back.

Shot in the left leg, Yuan Qin fell to one knee.

Tang Li saw Xue Ya holding his bleeding abdon with his left hand, raising his gun with his right, and stood directly in front of Yuan Qin, staring into Xue Ya’s eyes: "Enough."

Xue Ya gritted his teeth, but it couldn’t alleviate the pain of his wound.

Tang Li faced the dark barrel of the gun, never showing any sign of retreat.

Xue Ya couldn’t kill her.

Tang Li clearly knew this too.

That’s why she was so fearless.

"I will obediently go with you," Tang Li proposed her condition: "But from this mont on, you must not harm anyone else here."

Behind her, Yuan Qin’s voice ca, "Madam... I’m sorry."

Tang Li turned back at the sound, Yuan Qin’s face was ashen, his clothing at the left chest thoroughly stained with red from blood, as he propped himself up on the ground struggling, crimson drops blossod on the marble below.

"Failed to protect... Madam, it was my dereliction, but I had... reasons I couldn’t ignore... Xue Ya betrayed our lord, I... couldn’t disregard our lord’s safety..."

Between the lord and the lady, he chose the lord.

Xue Ya seed to realize sothing, stepping forward to retrieve a cellphone from Yuan Qin’s inner pocket.

The cellphone hadn’t locked the screen yet.

It was on the ssaging interface.

Xue Ya looked at Yuan Qin—

During the few seconds Tang Li blocked him, Yuan Qin had secretly operated his cellphone.

Then, he sent out a recording.

The Culprits keeping watch outside rushed into the airport terminal: "Soone’s coming!"

anwhile.

On the tarmac, a helicopter slowly descended.

Xue Ya couldn’t afford to settle accounts with Yuan Qin, fired another shot, and took Tang Li towards the nearest boarding gate.

As Tang Li turned to look back, Yuan Qin had already fallen to the ground, his fate uncertain.
