Mai Qiqi was shocked at Jiang Kechu’s arrival, not understanding how he could be here, and greeted him with a smile, "Brother Jiang."
Jiang Kechu glanced at Mai Qiqi, nodded, and then looked at the stunned Wan Chu’er, shaking his head. Causing such a stiff situation right upon arriving at school, her personality really was too rigid; this wouldn’t be good for her future interactions with teachers and classmates.
He was originally sending Wei Feng to school and happened to pass by Wan Chu’er’s dormitory building on his way out. He saw a police car parked and two policen entering the building.
For so inexplicable reason, he followed them upstairs. Usually, he would never bother with such matters, but today he didn’t know what got into him; perhaps Wei Feng’s words had provoked him, clouding his judgnt.
Because he was in a military uniform, the dormitory supervisor did not stop him. Once upstairs, he quickly understood the situation based on a few words from the onlooking students.
To his surprise, Wan Chu’er was involved in such an incident. When he arrived at dormitory 409’s doorway, he saw Wan Chu’er reluctantly and nervously handing over the jade piece.
Without a second thought, he reached out and stopped her.
He told himself afterward that he intervened on account of Wan Shiguo; having co across the situation, it was only natural for him to look after Wan Chu’er.
Regarding Jiang Kechu’s capability, Mai Qiqi had never had any doubts. The situation had been set; Ma Tianjiao was to be taken away, and Wan Chu’er’s Jade Pendant was about to be confiscated. One could tell the Jade Pendant was no ordinary item, and if taken away, who knows what complications could arise in the interim.
Under such circumstances, Jiang Kechu changed the whole scene with just a few words.
A case of stealing valuables turned into petty theft among classmates, and the punishnt for Ma Tianjiao was changed to focused education by the school.
After the police left, Jiang Kechu completely ignored Ma Tianjiao’s gratitude and attempts to strike up a conversation, taking Wan Chu’er and leaving the dormitory.

Wan Chu’er allowed Jiang Kechu to lead her out of the dormitory building; she lowered her head, looking at Jiang Kechu’s size forty-three big feet striding forward.
Jiang Kechu found a secluded spot, let go of Wan Chu’er’s arm, and frowned as he asked, "What happened? How did the police get involved?"
Hearing Jiang Kechu’s cool voice, Wan Chu’er hooked her lips slightly and said in a low voice, "Thank you."
Regardless, she knew Jiang Kechu acted with good intentions, everything he did was for her benefit, and she accepted his arrangents.
Looking at Wan Chu’er before him with her head lowered, appearing like a little student who had done wrong, Jiang Kechu’s gaze tightened slightly, "Tell , what exactly happened?"
It looked and sounded like a parent questioning a child.
Wan Chu’er gathered her emotions and answered seriously, recounting the entire incident without omission or exaggeration.
Jiang Kechu spread out his palm, revealing the Tiger Roar Pendant with its lifelike tiger head, majestically powerful, as if about to soar through the air.
"Is this the thing?"
Chuchu glanced over and nodded her head.
"Make sure to put your belongings away properly in the future, so you don’t give others the chance to take advantage of you," Jiang Kechu said gravely, his tone undeniably admonitory. Chuchu didn’t retort but simply listened in silence.
Co to think of it, the root of the problem was her failure to keep an eye on her belongings, which had given Ma Tianjiao the opportunity and led to all this trouble.
Jiang Kechu continued, "Think before you act in the future, and don’t always act on impulse without considering the consequences.
If the police had actually taken away both the belongings and the person today, not to ntion whether the belongings might have led to further complications, your reputation could have been damaged too. Even though you are in the right in this matter, others will still think you are ruthless with your classmates and absolutely rciless. In the future, when others interact with you, they will always asure your character and morality against this incident, and the school might not be happy about Ma Tianjiao being taken away either..."
This long speech by Jiang Kechu was sincerely ant for her good, and Chuchu felt a bitter sweetness in her heart.
Such a good person, she had wasted his life in the last one, but in this life, she must stay far away and sincerely wish him smooth sailing and great success.
Having made her decision, Chuchu ekly said to Jiang Kechu, "Uncle Jiang, thank you, I understand now. From now on, I will try to think thrice before acting."
Jiang Kechu stiffened slightly, well, the girl’s recognition of her mistake was comndable, so he decided not to take to heart being referred to as old again.

"I understand," Chuchu obediently responded, then she glanced at the distant dormitory lights and the quiet surroundings, and reminded him: "Uncle Jiang, it’s pretty late. You should head back soon."
Jiang Kechu’s eye twitched. Was she rushing him away?
Forget it, he’ll take it as her being well-aning. He shook his head and repeated once more, "Rember to give a call if there’s anything. You still have the phone number I gave you last ti, right?"
Chuchu was thinking about where she might have put that phone number while verbally assuring him, "Yes, I have it."
After seeing Jiang Kechu off, Chuchu took a deep breath, her hand clutching the Jade Pendant tightly as she slowly made her way back to the dormitory.
By the ti she got back to the dorm, the crowd that had co to watch the commotion had dispersed, and the counselor had left too. Ma Tianjiao wrapped herself in a quilt, lying against the wall on her bed, while Lin Yufei was busy applying sothing to her face.
Mai Qiqi gave Chuchu a knowing look as soon as she returned and took her hand, dragging her mysteriously to the far end of the corridor, and asked in a low voice,
"What’s your relationship with Brother Jiang?"
Chuchu paused, observing Mai Qiqi’s excited eyes, and after so thought, she vaguely answered, "He was in the sa army unit as my dad, and I’ve t him a couple of tis because of my dad."
Mai Qiqi drew out a long "Oh", leaned in close, and said with a smile, "I got a shock when Brother Jiang pulled you away just now. I thought you had sothing going on with him."
At Mai Qiqi’s words, Chuchu got startled and quickly said, "Don’t spout nonsense; I call him Uncle Jiang, and you know that. Uncle Jiang already has a girlfriend."
Mai Qiqi chuckled and said, "Then you should call Aunt Mai, give it a try."
"Stop it," Chuchu replied, sowhat speechless.
"I’ll tell you a secret," Mai Qiqi suddenly leaned in closer and whispered with glee, "I heard Sister Wei Feng is planning to break up with Brother Jiang and go abroad."
