Yan Hui massaged Ming Wan’s numb legs once more, and Ming Wan’s smile couldn’t be stopped, as she looked at him with sparkling eyes.

After a while, Ming Wan felt her legs were much better and could move, but she didn’t say anything and continued watching Yan Hui gently massage her.

"Brother Yan, what was going on with you last night? How do you feel now? Is there anywhere you still feel uncomfortable?" Ming Wan asked.

Yan Hui’s hands didn’t stop, and he gently replied, "If I eat ginger together with lamb, my body will have an allergic reaction, just like last night. But once I endure it, it’ll pass." He paused and continued, "This is a secret, known only to the two of us, don’t tell anyone else."

Upon hearing it was a secret shared only between them, Ming Wan imdiately nodded happily and solemnly promised, "I won’t tell anyone."

Seeing her so serious, Yan Hui couldn’t help but smile and reached out to stroke her hair, "Good girl."

Yan Hui used to touch her hair like this, but now their relationship was different, and Ming Wan felt the gesture wasn’t the sa as before, causing her to blush.

"Your allergic reaction is like you’ve taken an aphrodisiac," Ming Wan blurted out, recalling Yan Hui’s crazy behavior last night, and her face grew even redder.

Yan Hui was taken aback, then laughed, "Yes, so you’ll need to be careful not to let eat those two things together again."

Ming Wan nodded, but in her heart she thought that if they’re outside with others, it absolutely must not happen again. But if they’re at ho and it accidentally happens, wouldn’t she be there for him? Instantly, she felt her thought was a bit dirty and hurriedly cleared her mind of it, afraid Yan Hui might notice. She asked, "Doesn’t it really affect your body?"

Yan Hui answered seriously, "I’ve had a check-up, it seems there’s indeed no impact."

Seeing Yan Hui’s long, slender hands still earnestly massaging her legs, Ming Wan tightly held her own hands, fearing she might not be able to resist holding his.

"Brother Yan, I’m fine now, you don’t need to massage anymore." She finally said.

Yan Hui stopped, helped Ming Wan up, and watched as she took a few steps without discomfort, finally feeling relieved.

"Go freshen up, and after that we’ll eat." Yan Hui said to her in a gentle tone.

Ming Wan rembered her current ssy state, and let out a small "Ah," not wanting Brother Yan to see her looking so unkempt. She quickly ran to her room.

Watching her flee into the room, Yan Hui’s mouth ford a smile, which slowly faded as his eyes deepened, starting to consider what to do next.

Since he decided to accept Ming Wan, and Ming Wan seed not to reject him, he needed to plan for the future, including dealing with the Crown Prince’s possible attitude and their future life together.

Ming Wan, freshly changed, stared at herself in the mirror, finding it hard to believe she’d co this far with Brother Yan, almost like a dream.

She touched her burning face, feeling uneasy, and upon reflection realized Brother Yan hadn’t promised her anything. Ming Wan froze, wondering if she had once again been too sentintal?

In the living room, Yan Hui received breakfast that Little Si delivered, left the car keys, and then dismissed him.

He checked the ti; Ming Wan had been inside for an hour and a half, wondering why she hadn’t co out yet. Could sothing have happened?

After thinking it over, Yan Hui walked to Ming Wan’s door, knocked, and called out, "Wanwan, are you ready? Co out for breakfast," yet he heard no response.

Without further hesitation, Yan Hui tried opening the door, which opened easily. He saw Ming Wan standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror, lost in thought, her face unexpectedly pale and sorrowful.

"What’s wrong?" Yan Hui asked with concern.

Ming Wan snapped back to reality, looking up at Yan Hui. Seeing his calm deanor as he gently watched her, she realized it wasn’t the affectionate gaze between lovers.

Indeed, she had misinterpreted again.

Brother Yan had only comforted her earlier, had not promised anything, nor expressed affection, let alone defined any future relationship.

Ming Wan suppressed the pain inside, forcing a feeble smile, "I’m fine, probably just hungry. Let’s go eat."

She didn’t want to force Yan Hui or let him feel obligated because of what he did while unconscious. Let things unfold naturally. She soon planned to move out, perhaps go ho.

Yan Hui clearly understood Ming Wan’s sadness, puzzled by her sudden low mood. He thought for a mont and said:

"Last night you didn’t get to rest well. After breakfast, take a good rest at ho."

Ming Wan, feeling heavy-hearted, asked, "Are you going out?"

Yan Hui said, "Going out for so work. What would you like for lunch? I’ll bring it back for you, and tonight I’ll take you out for sothing delicious." He wanted Ming Wan to rest, so he thought she shouldn’t go out at noon.

Upon hearing he was going out, Ming Wan nodded compliantly, although she planned to leave when Brother Yan was out, making it easier for both of them.

Yan Hui sensed her distraction and insincerity, so he reached for her hand on the table.

Ming Wan stared in shock at the gentle hands holding hers.

"Tell , what are you thinking about? Are you unhappy with the breakfast? If not, I can ask Little Si to buy elsewhere; Yu Jingji’s buns are quite good."

Ming Wan reluctantly moved her gaze away, softly saying, "This breakfast is good; I haven’t been thinking anything, honestly, just hungry."

Yan Hui didn’t believe her words at all; monts ago, her attitude towards the breakfast was indifferent, clearly not like soone who was hungry, more like avoiding food altogether.

After pondering, he asked, "Are you worried about your father and brother’s reaction? Worried they won’t agree to us being together? Don’t worry about your father; as for your brother, I’ll find a way to persuade him. You just wait to marry ."

Us being together?

Marriage?

Ming Wan was montarily stunned by these words, looking at Yan Hui in disbelief, cautiously asking, "Brother Yan, are you saying you’ll marry ? You want to be together with ?"

Seeing her ek and cautious deanor, Yan Hui realized the cause of her earlier low spirit. A chord was struck in his heart; he stood up, rounded the table, and gently cupped her face, kissing her red lips.
