Seeing Jiang Kechu’s perfunctory response, Wan Chu’er wasn’t as happy as she had imagined; instead, she felt even more suffocated. She fiercely thought to herself that if she saw Jiang Kechu joking with the twins and Wei Feng again, she would take the twins and run away from ho, cutting off all contact with him and let him worry!
After thinking so harshly, she felt a little better.
Jiang Kechu had no idea what Wan Chu’er was thinking. He was calculating in his heart that he needed to sleep in the room downstairs tonight so as not to disturb the children upstairs.
While he thought about this, he sped up his actions, sending the two little ones to their children’s room. With great patience, he told them a story and finally coaxed the twins to sleep.
Quietly closing the door, Jiang Kechu turned around only to find Wan Chu’er’s figure missing. He raised an eyebrow, walked to the opposite master bedroom door, and twisted the doorknob, only to find it locked from the inside.
He listened closely and faintly heard the sound of running water inside.
His wife was taking a shower!
Jiang Kechu’s eyes lit up, and he tried the doorknob again. It was indeed locked. Could it be that Chu’er was playing a ga of retreating in order to advance?
Jiang Kechu raised an eyebrow, turned around to enter the study, and then returned to the master bedroom door. After fiddling with the lock for a while, he managed to open the door.
Listening to the sounds coming from the bathroom, Jiang Kechu’s lips curved slightly. The thought of a mandarin duck bath made his heart pound. He stripped himself clean and then went to turn the bathroom door, which was still locked from the inside.
Playful!
Jiang Kechu wasn’t annoyed. He picked up the tool he used earlier and quickly dealt with this door as well.
Expecting to successfully embrace his beauty after overcoming several difficulties, he was taken aback once he opened the bathroom door only to find no one inside, the shower head, however, was still spraying water.
Jiang Kechu was stunned for a mont, looking around, there was no trace of Chu’er washing up; it was then he finally felt that sothing was amiss.
Chu’er was still angry.
He took a clean bathrobe from the bathroom cabinet, shrugged it on, covering his robust and healthy body with the bathrobe.
After searching around, Jiang Kechu finally found Wan Chu’er in the guest bedroom downstairs, with the door naturally closed.
This ti he didn’t unlock it himself but lowered his voice first and called out, "Chu’er, open the door."
Yet there was no response from inside. Jiang Kechu’s brows grew colder, and he said again in a low voice, "Chu’er, don’t lock yourself in. If there’s sothing wrong, let’s have a proper talk and clear it up."
"..."
Jiang Kechu continued, "Are you still unhappy about Wei Feng’s visit to the courtyard?"
"..."
"Although I have spent ti with Wei Feng, that was years ago. Ever since I’ve had you, my heart has been solely devoted to you and only thinking about growing old with you for the rest of our lives. Don’t overthink it."
"..."
"Chu’er, I know you’re awake. If you truly dislike Wei Feng, I will no longer allow her to visit our house. But this ti I’ve already agreed to do her a favor, so this ti..."
This ti the door suddenly opened.
Wan Chu’er stood at the door with a cool expression, and said calmly, "If I were to break up with you, I would make it a clean break and never appear in front of you again."
"Wan Chu’er! Don’t make such assumptions. You are not allowed to speak of this in the future!" Jiang Kechu’s face darkened.
Wan Chu’er scoffed, "Fine, let’s put it this way, what if I went to joke around with Yan Hui, bringing Chuanqi and Hunter along, looking just like a family of four, what would you think then?"
"Wan Chu’er!" Jiang Kechu’s face darkened further, "I’ve said that I won’t let Wei Feng go to the courtyard anymore. After this matter is over, I won’t have anything to do with her."
Thinking about Wan Chu’er laughing and talking with Yan Hui, Jiang Kechu wished he could smash Yan Hui’s face.
Wan Chu’er raised an eyebrow, "You’re unwilling?"
Unable to argue with his wife any further, Jiang Kechu thought to himself that he had to go along with her; otherwise, he would be the one suffering. Wan Chu’er was ruthless—if she really started hanging out with Yan Hui one day, he would regret it deeply.
So Jiang Kechu imdiately answered earnestly, "No, I’m very willing. As long as it makes you happy, I’ll do whatever you ask."
Wan Chu’er smiled, feeling sowhat relieved. In fact, she didn’t want to fight with Jiang Kechu either; it was herself who would end up getting hurt.
She said, "Then you have to avoid Wei Feng from now on, you’re not allowed to smile at Wei Feng, not allowed to look at Wei Feng, not to let Wei Feng touch Chuanqi and Hunter, not to help her out of the blue, and if a eting is unavoidable, you must bring with you, and show intimacy with at the right mont to eliminate her improper thoughts about you."
Hearing this, Jiang Kechu chuckled bitterly, "I agree with you, but you’re really overthinking it. Wei Feng doesn’t harbor any improper thoughts about ."
Wan Chu’er huffed and turned to leave.
"Hey, Chuchu." Jiang Kechu quickly followed, "You have to be reasonable."
Wan Chu’er walked inside, where a slim laptop sat on the table. She tossed her head back at Jiang Kechu, signaling him to co over.
Jiang Kechu stumbled, what had this computer genius discovered now? In such a short ti.
"This is the social dia information of Wei Feng, Chen Xiran—her ex-boyfriend, Wei Feng’s close classmate, and Chen Xiran’s friend, and a mutual friend of both. After cross-validation and matrix analysis, a conclusion is drawn: Wei Feng has regrets!"
Jiang Kechu gaped in disbelief, waiting for Wan Chu’er to continue.
"Although Chen Xiran was completely accommodating to her, Wei Feng felt that Chen Xiran’s actions weren’t sharp enough, his physical fitness wasn’t as good as yours, he wasn’t as handso or as cool-looking as you, and lacked a sense of security, so they broke up a year ago."
"After the breakup, Wei Feng tried to find a new boyfriend, flirted with two, tried to date one, and that one was also a soldier, but unfortunately, they still broke up."
"So, she regrets it, regrets breaking up with you, and moreover, with the current dostic developnt being very good, staying abroad occasionally is fine, but if it’s for a long ti, she feels more comfortable and convenient back ho, so she regrets dumping you back then for the sake of going abroad."
"So she made inquiries in many ways, and upon learning that you would be back in the courtyard today, she imdiately went there too."
In the end, Wan Chu’er tilted her chin up, "So, what do you think her intentions are?!"
Jiang Kechu laughed dryly a couple of tis, a bit thrown by Wan Chu’er’s barrage. He reached out to move the laptop closer to himself, looking through it page by page.
At last, he said dryly, "Wife, you’re amazing!"
Wan Chu’er: "Stop buttering up, am I being unreasonable? Now that we’re faced with the facts and evidence, you’ve got nothing to say, right?"
Jiang Kechu smiled, "I was wrong, I apologize to you, but after this matter is settled, I will be cautious, try my best to keep my distance from her, and not interact with her anymore."
"Are you still going to help her?" asked Wan Chu’er.
Jiang Kechu smiled ingratiatingly, "I’ve promised, and you know what I’m like."
In fact, a promise was one thing, but there was sothing else Jiang Kechu hadn’t ntioned: he felt that during the four years he been with Wei Feng, he had neglected her and caused her to suffer, so when they broke up, he didn’t bla Wei Feng much, and even when Wei Feng ntioned that she might ask for his help in the future, Jiang Kechu agreed.
So, this ti when Wei Feng asked for his help, he didn’t refuse and didn’t think too much of it, just as fulfilling a promise from the past.
As to whether Wei Feng had any other ideas about him, Jiang Kechu felt that this was not a problem. After all, he now had both a son and a daughter, and his heart and eyes were full of Wan Chu’er. Even if Wei Feng had many thoughts, they were in vain.
