"Let’s go together then." Jiang Xiaoxiao, seeing that neither Wan Chu’er nor Mai Qiqi had any objections, spoke up in agreent and simultaneously reached out to link arms with her.
As a result, the group of four entered the store. The store wasn’t very crowded and felt sowhat desolate, with only two staff mbers present: one was bent over a calculator at the counter, and the other was organizing the clothes on the racks.
The staff mber behind the counter was the first to notice the group of four, and after quickly sizing them up with a glance, she bent her mouth into a smile and said, "Welco."
After capturing the attention of the other staff mber who was arranging the clothes, she lowered her head and continued to busy herself.
The staff mber arranging the clothes stopped her task and approached them with warmth, "Welco, what style of clothes would you need? I can introduce so to you."
While chatting, she subtly sized them up, estimating the purchasing power of the four individuals in her mind.
Upon entering the store, Jiang Lingling imdiately lit up and dashed toward the clothing racks, adoring each piece as she looked them over, while the staff mber at the counter caught a glimpse of this and a hint of disdain flashed in her eyes.
Wan Chu’er was never particularly fastidious about clothing brands; she could accept any well-crafted and comfortable garnt, so she nodded slightly and said, "Thank you."
Today, Wan Chu’er and Mai Qiqi were the main shoppers, so Jiang Xiaoxiao found a place to sit down and wait for the two of them.
"This lady has a fairer complexion; our pieces here would suit you well," the staff mber said to Wan Chu’er, pointing at a row of clothes, "This trench coat is our latest model for the year, and it cos in the trendiest Polo color by Panli, reaching just above the ankle, giving a sway as you walk, stylish and majestic, and especially versatile. If you purchase this piece, you can wear it for at least ten years. Although it’s a bit on the expensive side, if you amortize the cost, it’s quite cost-effective."
The staff mber maintained a pleasant smile, and her speech was very appealing, always seeming to have Wan Chu’er’s interests at heart. The clothes that Wan Chu’er was wearing had been made by her tailor grandfather, according to her preferences; although they looked simple on the surface, Wan Chu’er found them incredibly comfortable.
Of course, the staff mber wouldn’t know whether or not the clothes were comfortable; she only knew that the garnt on Wan Chu’er didn’t resemble any styles from well-known brands she was familiar with, so she treated it as ordinary clothing. She also assud Wan Chu’er was an average person who had saved up several months’ salary to co here and splurge on one or two items to keep up appearances, so she chose a relatively cheaper piece for Wan Chu’er.
Wan Chu’er glanced at the trench coat the staff mber pointed out and, not liking the color, turned her gaze to other clothes.
A flicker of impatience passed through the staff mber’s eyes, but she kept smiling and said, "This piece has an excellent price-quality ratio, and it really accentuates height and presence. You will definitely look sharp in it."
"Let see, let see..." Jiang Lingling, who had co in with them, finally rembered her advisory role upon hearing the staff mber’s eager recomndation and imdiately ca over.
Upon seeing the clothing, she clicked her tongue and asked, "Did you say this is the latest model?"
The staff mber was taken aback, but still nodded her head, "Yes."
"What baloney!" Jiang Lingling imdiately assud an assertive deanor, bluntly exposing the ruse on the spot:
"This clothing is clearly last year’s spring collection; the latest model should be from this year’s autumn collection. Moreover, this piece was designed by your worst designer, Marlos. Not only do you not offer us the works of your leading designer, Jas, but you also try to fob us off with this unsellable, low-quality item. Get your manager!"
Seeing how Jiang Lingling spoke authoritatively about the clothes as if she had a thorough command of the subject, Wan Chu’er discretely arched an eyebrow. This girl was indeed passionate about clothing and fashion, no wonder she said she feared they might be duped, and indeed, they almost were.
Upon hearing Jiang Lingling’s words, the staff mber imdiately realized she could be dealing with soone from the industry, showing embarrassnt on her face. However, she quickly apologized:
"I’m sorry, I thought that although this clothing is last year’s spring collection, our brand’s quality is renowned, and the price is not expensive, which is why I recomnded it to you. If you don’t like it, then I can introduce to you other clothes."
Seeing her attitude was not bad, Wan Chu’er gave a faint smile and did not persist, continuing to walk forward.
Then, the sales clerk basically had no opportunity to intervene, as Jiang Lingling comnted on each piece of clothing for Wan Chu’er and Mai Qiqi, from the material, style, design details, to the background of the designers, even the designers’ philosophies were explained clearly and thoroughly.
Wan Chu’er and Mai Qiqi both felt that even the store’s sales personnel probably didn’t know the details as thoroughly as Jiang Lingling did.
Stimulated by Jiang Lingling’s expertise, the two sales clerks in the store beca more cautious. The clerk behind the counter also stopped tapping on the calculator and ca over, standing respectfully by the side, ready to answer any of Jiang Lingling’s questions.
The two clerks wondered if she was an undercover auditor sent by the head office. With this possibility in mind, their smiles beca sweeter and their attitude even more respectful.
Finally, following Jiang Lingling’s advice, Mai Qiqi and Wan Chu’er each bought two pieces of clothing.
In Jiang Lingling’s words: "Overall, these two pieces are the most suitable for the both of you. If you like the style and design concept of this store, you should take a trip to Panli next ti. They have the most complete selection there. After this, we can try other stores."
Hearing this, the two nearby sales clerks looked at each other, wanting to recomnd more clothes, but Jiang Lingling had already given a comprehensive critique in so many ways, making it seem like she was absolutely right, truly leaving no room for argunt.
Wan Chu’er asked with a smile, "Is there anything here that you like?"
It took Jiang Lingling a mont to respond honestly, "There is one piece that I quite like..." but she stopped mid-sentence as she realized, excitedly almost jumping up.
"Sister-in-law, are you thinking of buying one for ?"
Jiang Lingling and the two sales clerks got excited at the sa ti—selling an extra piece ant an extra piece’s commission for them.
Wan Chu’er nodded with a smile, "You certainly qualify as a consultant, consider it your consulting fee for today."
Upon hearing that, Jiang Lingling imdiately made a lap around the store and, under the hopeful gaze of the two sales clerks, Jiang Lingling brightened with a radiant smile and quickly said:
"Although there’s a piece I like in this store, I prefer another piece from the V store even more. That one is in the display window, and I’ve already co to see it at least fifty tis. Sadly, my mom won’t give the money for it. Sister-in-law, if you really want to buy one, then please be the kindest and let pick the one I adore the most."
She finished speaking with hopeful eyes fixed on Wan Chu’er, who laughed, while the two sales clerks couldn’t hide their disappointnt. She generously said:
"Alright, then today you have to make sure Qiqi and I return fully loaded. After all, we’ve been out of touch with the world in the remote mountains for a long ti."
Jiang Lingling indeed had a knack for selecting clothes—the pieces she picked, both she and Mai Qiqi really liked.
"No problem!"
Jiang Lingling was so excited that she hugged Wan Chu’er, then feeling it was a bit inappropriate, quickly let go and hastily hugged Mai Qiqi as well, causing Jiang Xiaoxiao beside them to laugh.
Whenever there were beautiful clothes involved, Jiang Lingling would instantly beco much more adorable.
This harmony was actually quite nice.
