The next morning after breakfast, Wan Chu’er slung her backpack over her shoulders and headed to school still wearing her tracksuit.
Arriving at school, she saw Mai Qiqi on the phone in front of the teachers’ dormitory, beaming with joy. Wan Chu’er would bet that the person on the other end had to be An Zihao.
She wondered how Xiao Bai had been handling things these past few days. It seed she hadn’t been keeping An Zihao busy enough if he had ti for sweet talk with Mai Qiqi.
If An Zihao on the other end of the call heard her thoughts, he would’ve been livid. Xiao Bai had been working him like a mule, having visited four different video ga companies in a single day!
Four companies, indeed; they were going non-stop.
Busy as he was, An Zihao had picked up a trick or two from Xiao Bai, learning how to dig traps for others with a smile.
He had barely squeezed out a little ti to give Mai Qiqi a call.
They had hardly exchanged a few words before Xiao Bai was hurrying him along; they were already at the doorstep of a ga company.
Mai Qiqi hung up the phone with a radiant smile and finally greeted Wan Chu’er standing in front of her.
"Chuchu, it’s been a long ti since I’ve seen you."
Wan Chu’er: "Stop it, we just t the day before yesterday. I bet it’s An Zihao you really want to say that to."
Mai Qiqi reached out to pinch Wan Chu’er but she dodged it.
Wan Chu’er asked, "What are you doing here?"
"Waiting for you, of course," replied Mai Qiqi matter-of-factly.
Wan Chu’er suddenly rembered sothing and affird, "You’re the one who gave the instructor my number, right? And the sumr teaching program I joined, that was your doing too, wasn’t it?"
Mai Qiqi chuckled, "I don’t have that much clout. It’s just that you’re excellent, and the school imdiately thinks of you for good opportunities. I simply passed your number to the instructor, no need to thank ."
Wan Chu’er: "..."
It was already like this, talking about it was in vain. Wan Chu’er shook her head speechlessly and asked, "Why are you waiting for ? Don’t tell you’ve also joined this sumr practical activity?"

The team consisted of seven people, four males and three females, with the plan to teach for a month in the village, allowing them to return two days before the new sester began.
Today was Wednesday, aning there were four days left before departure, and suddenly Wan Chu’er felt like she had many things to prepare for.

The two returned to their dormitory which was empty, as Lin Yufei had already gone ho.
